Here is a late report regarding the events that occurred in House Rheinland several weeks ago, since I have been ordered to explicitly detail it for High Command.
I took the assignment related with patrolling the Sigmas. Said assignment quickly lead me to Frankfurt system, where I proceeded with enforcing Rheinlandic laws, as allowed by the treaty between Kusari and Rheinland.
As I was moving towards New Berlin Jump-gate, I caught a weak signal, seemingly coming from Sudnebel nebula. It appeared to be a distress signal, which I followed until I reached a singularity. I decided to use that singularity to check if there was not someone looking for assistance on the other side.

Ended up in Dresden system, where I met Great Admiral Sterr Driedrik, who was quite surprised to see me here. He however allowed me to stay and assist him in the many tasks he had to attend to that day, which were mostly about dealing with the Red Hessians threat in Dresden system.

As a side note, it appears the situation in Dresden system is quite concerning. The infrastructures in Dresden seem to have suffered a lot, and the system looks like a crude war-zone. The puts things in perspective, when one compares it to the situation we are facing in Kyushu system. Rheinland seems to have suffered a lot from the war with Liberty.

Regardless, we could discuss with Sterr-san between assignments. He appears to be very dedicated to his duty, as if nothing else mattered. He told me he was spending most of his time in Dresden system, fighting the Red Hessians to protect Rheinland civilians from this growing menace. A competent member of Rheinland Military Admiralty, without doubt.

Sterr-san being forced to attend to others matters, he eventually allowed me to stay for a short while on New Berlin, which I did, before returning to Kusari.


That said, I'd like to take advantage of this transmission to humbly request a short sabbatical. I sadly have to take care of personal matters, which may force me to leave Kusari for a short while.

I do hope this request will not be a burden for the Admiralty. I personally made sure flight rotations wouldn't be impacted by this unforeseen event. Commander Kitagaki Takashi has gracefully accepted to look after my squadron while I will be away.

Commander Enomoto, provisional captain of the KDS-Hoshou

I have been assigned a special duty by Rear Admiral Shimoe to deploy the KDS-Hoshou deep into the warzone, to establish a staging force for KNF strikes against Blood Dragon and other hostile space forces in the system. The rapid development capabilities of the rebels in and around the Tomioka orbital zone are of great concern to High Command, and a new strategy of interdicting enemy forces from outside of the Tomioka security zone has been envisioned.

Upon my request, officers Kobayakawa Yuji (Sk), Seiho.Isayama (Ii) and Shinji.Watanabe (Ni) have come to perform escort duties to the advancing taskforce, from Narita Outpost to Nagano space.

Travel through the secure systems was without problems, save a few scouting parties who have noted our presence. We believe most have been destroyed before being able to signal out anything of note.

At Nagano, we proceeded to scout several undisclosed locations, as per classified orders of the mission. We found some of them to be suitable for a staging point, although not perfect for a far range monitoring of strategic points in the system. That will cause an increased need for probe and manned sorties for intelligence gathering.

One of the first missions our assets did was indeed surveying best routes between Tomioka secure zone and our current staging point (callsign Helix). On approach to Tomioka, our wing detected a lone Blood Dragon officer, performing scouting duties in low orbit. KNF pilots successfully evicted her from the area, achieving space superiority for that period of time.

Later on, KNF pilots engaged again with the Blood Dragon officer, and a reported neutralization of the hostile was done with the loss of one of our fighters. Nanny ship was sent to last location and retrieved our pilot.

The flight wing proceeded on some deep recon to the Tau cluster, qith some interesting findings. Meanwhile the Hoshou tended to its preparations for the coming campaign. A more extensive report on the Hoshou status is to come later.

Ending my mission, I retain command of the Hoshou and it's group, until the formal commander of the group arrives.

Core|Swordfish: And with that, flushing out the shogunate.

Core|Swordfish: I'd be more interested in a limited number of fighters, with the permission to have minor forces staged in Kusari in case of the Order.
Core|Swordfish: I personally miss my old fighter from when I served the Republic. But what the High command has in mind might differ.
[KNF]KDS-Asahi|66th: Hai. I suppose this must be escalated between Admirals circle and Core leadership.

I will leave it to the Admirals circle to decide what trust can be put in the organization known as the Core, and whether it would be beneficial for House Kusari to consider cooperating with them to achieve such an objective.

Report of the day ... In a moment of my routine patrol I met with a transport in the outskirts of Kyushu, this individual presented a suspicious attitude and once it was detected he proceeded to tell him to turn off his engines for an inspection.
At the time of a scan the ship was transporting "Black Market Weapons" what is considered illegal in the area, the place arrived the officer Mutzu Ryuzoji (li) in case the situation became complicated, After receiving excuses by the transport was ordered Expel the cargo and pay a fine of 3 million.

After that we started receiving reports from the planet Tomioka in Nagano warning about the presence of an enemy cruiser belonging to the Blood Dragon. We headed to the place at full speed and trying to coordinate with Mr. Katsuo Shimoe (Kh) to provide support in the area. After arriving to the Nagano system and heading to the orbit of the planet Tomioka we were able to detect the cruiser attacking the docking system of the planet, It was given the order to attack and after a time the ship was destroyed and ending with the threat in the system..

Here I deliver the report from the previous night where a threat was neutralized near the Yokohama shipyard. After receiving reports of nearby patrols, I went to the place to verify the presence of this person, this individual was hovering around the planet and attacking every civilian who passed through the area, he was given all kinds of warning to leave the area but Did not respond, in what I was forced to attack him since I could not allow more civilian casualties.
After an intense struggle and repeated attempts by the Blood Dragon to escape, it was successfully destroyed. In the place was the Cruiser "Fukuoka" belonging to the State Police who was in charge of the transfer and treatment of the victims.

A rather brief report. I encountered at 1645 during a patrol in New Tokyo a pirate train identified as "Jimmy_Recard" with a cargo hold full of contraband, namely Artifacts, coming from Honshu. The pilot refused to comply with my demands and managed to pass through towards Planet New Tokyo as I started to imply lethal force. However, as I unable to deal sufficient damage to destroy the ship, the pilot managed to slip planetside. Planetary authorities were notified on the spot to deal with the smuggler.

That should be all.

Yo- Konnichiwa,

At 1915, during a raid on Imperial occupied space in Kyushu, I was intercepted by an Imperial unit in the vicinity of planet Kyushu. Following a prolonged discussion and some rather rude statements by the imperial towards me, an engagement occurred between the two of us. Thankfully, Itto Kai Isayama was present to take my pod back home in case I fail. But I did not, the imperial ship was neutralized. During our trip back to New Tokyo, we were halted by another imperial ship. Unfortunately, Isayama-san failed to eliminate the target and was ejected out of his ship. The Imperial managed to slip away before I was able to react properly. Isayama's pod was recovered and was delivered to Nagumo for medical checks.

That should be it, I suppose.

Through the efforts of freelancer contracted parties, the Kusari Naval Forces have received new survey data from the Sigma cluster, which will enhance our knowledge of the area. Mostly astrological and planetary data, but these pilots also uncovered some installations and activities beyond our borders.

Chief concern on the data is the identification of a possible military force buildup on... Sigma-21. The size and composition of said force is mostly unknown, but it seem to employ Corsair designs and kusarian communications and designations.
The relatively high threat this force may present to the Honshu system has put a hold on our previous plans to relocate forces from our Honshu garrison to the active fronts. I hope the Admiralty will issue new orders once we get a clearer picture of the situation.

Konbanwa,

During an off-route patrol in the Honshu system at 2030, I picked up unidentified chatter coming from the Hiryo Cloud. To investigate, I moved further into the cloud in order to identify the source of this chatter, as it seemed to me that group was moving somewhere. However, I had lost the signal, and thus was unable pinpoint the ships' location. I rerouted back out of the cloud towards the New Tokyo jump gate.

As I arrived at the gate, I located a small battlegroup of Imperial units consisting of a 'Hatchet' class destroyer, as well as 4 escort fighters. In reaction, I launched a few disruptors to bring the group to halt. After comparing signals, I had confirmed that this group is the same I detected in the Hiryo cloud. The group, lead by the destroyer, sent their first escort to take me out. Unfortunately for her, she failed and was eliminated; to add, I was suffering from slight effects of a former Ion Storm that hit my ship. Following the neutralization of the fighter, the Imperials sent the rest of their three escorts at me. Thankfully, I was reinforced by Itto Kaisa Naoki Seok and secondary fleet ensign Eikichi Onizuka, I was not forced to hold out on my own for long. We were soon later also supported by K.D.S Chokai to care of the Imperial warship.

Thanks to the efforts of the Chokai, we were able to neutralize the destroyer, the Chokai was also neutralized in process. Myself and my two wingmen were left to handle the remaining escorts. Succeeding in eliminating two of them without casualties, I decided to let the sole survivor go to serve as a message to his rotten masters, as well as to deal with the shame left with him.

The incident leaves me and the 66th with risen eyebrows, how did an Imperial of this size manage to conduct operations in Honshu without notice. Perhaps our intelligence structure is not serving its purpose properly. Lacking and unreliable. Thankfully this time, we were able to put a stop to it. I sincerely hope for a boost in our intelligence-gathering capabilities.

It saddens me *not really* to bring the news of the capture of Itto Kaisa Kiyoko Hayashimura by imperial forces in Kyushu. During an attempted operation conducted by the 66th and the Matsuyama in the Kyushu system, we were ambushed by a group of imperial destroyers. The Matsuyama suffered heavy damage and was force to retaliate, the captain agreed to surrender herself in exchange for the Matsuyama's safe return back to New Tokyo. Fortunately, the imperials kept their word and the Matsuyama was able to return back to New Tokyo where it is undergoing repairs. The last known location picked up from her communicator shows that she's on the surface of Planet Kyushu, the signal was lost shortly afterward.

The 66th hopes for the quick and safe return of the captain. That should be all. *Good riddance.*
