' Wrote:Oh right so now it's the not-so-indie-indies that're turning into this big, evil, menacing war machine called factions? Screw it, why not go the whole way and blame the entire server for not conforming with your ideals?

:laugh:don't like the facts I see. Too bad.

Oh this is rich. Akuma you're doing a great job constantly subtly insulting those indies you so care about:PFirst you insult them by implying they can't organise against others, and now you expect that all of them have a faction char in which they gang up on others 20 to 1. Paranoia much? And then you take to making stuff up. No wonder nobody takes you seriously..

And here we have another person who prefers delusion to the truth.

The fact is, if you get in a 1 on 1 with any faction member you soon have a X (x being how ever many faction members are in other characters at the time) on 1 as you see people log off their other characters and into their tagged characters and come join against you. It's how the factions work.

Apart from when ive i had 4v1 on my faction char 3 times, oooh i take your wrong...

Akumabito: You are incorrect. The proof why has been posted above my previous post. You want more proof? There is a skype chat called "Rheinland Unlawfuls" where all the known unlawfuls in Rheinland sit so we can call on each others in emergencies, organise events and whatnot. And a lot of the people in there belong to none of the Rheinland unlawful player factions. I know, I know, mindboggling for you. So tell me that I am deluding myself, when you have no proof to counter my proof, now what sort of discussion is that?:P

Also, once again you are insulting all the non faction players you so swore to defend. I swear to god, if this "war" between factions and non faction people actually existed outside of your head, they would surely lose if all they could count on was your retarded trolling.

' Wrote:That's funny because the first fight I was in on this server my indy was ganged by a faction five to one.

I don't blame indies from learning how to pvp here from factions, do you?

The fact is, it's usually the faction with the numbers on their side, that's why you join a faction, and I have yet to see a faction go "We have three, you're alone, only one will fight you."

You are blinded by your bias. You refuse to see any positive things from factions and thats your own loss... No skin off my nose sonny.

I more often than not fly outnumbered, I will drop away from gang-rape situations, and I certainly won't organise situations like that.

The RoS wouldn't do that. The XA certainly wouldn't do that. The LN, well I'd never let any LN member do that while I'm online.

Akuma. For the very very last time I am going to say this. Stop your faction bashing. All you're doing is annoying everyone. That is all. It's not going to get you what you want, it's not going to change anything. The wrongs you fight against are only percieved, they -are not real-.

Do you want to know thw reason I joined the RoS?

I joined becuase I had a respect for the leaders, who helped me learn the roleplay ropes of this server. Encouraged me not to go overkill on everyone. Taugh me a lot of stuff about the place. So I joined. I saw fair play from them, decent roleplay, pleasent and friendly people. This is quite a distance from your perception of all factions isn't it.

Now might I point out akuma, the only times I have been outnumbered while flying on my own by faction memebers is when I have started a fight. Or I have been the last member left of a large group. Now I think thats entirely fair. I think if you have an issue with -particular factions- as you seem to you should take it over to their feedback threads and post something contructive, rather than poluting other threads, like this one.

i have a request can we get back on topic before the flame ends up locking it? aku please just stop faction bashing its not going to work if you put most or all the blame on them for the problems we have on the server

ANYWAY back on topic

What about adding a beam like weapon to capital ships that moves very slowly and has a very limited arc

Capships, increasingly slower fighters? Or strategic weapons? - Lux - 10-23-2008

<strike>Honestly, this isn't a thread for you to vent your hatred of anything you don't win at. Like Bobafett said, that is definitely not the subject; try to think about that next time.</strike> Well, Del already cleared that up:P

I like the very slow weapon idea, make it pretty powerful to make up for that though:mellow:

Capships, increasingly slower fighters? Or strategic weapons? - Reverend Del - 10-23-2008

This will get back on topic, NOW. Akuma if you cannot manage that, stay out of this thread. Simple as. Yes I'm targeting you because YOU have dragged this one off, you alone. Everyone else stop responding to him and stay on topic. This constant off-topic will end.

Capships (Aside from Gunboats), dont need more Hull to become more resilient against bombers, gunboats, or other S/U heavy fighters/bombers, but they need more shields to become better.. Two Bombers taking down a Capital ships is very unlikely, but it could be done with two very good pilots. Two Gunboats taking down a battleship with ease is ridiculous, but more shields, OR perhaps faster regeneration rate would solve this.

Supernovas decimate Hull, not Shields. Same with any other weapon, which does atleast double the hull damage they would inflict to shields (Shieldbreakers notwithstanding). So in essence, Shields would enable Capital ships (Again, aside from Gunboats, i find them OK in terms of balance) to become better in Survivability versus a Lunchbox or two, or two or three bombers.

Of course, this could all be solved if people had the perfect fleet. (None such thing exists!)
