One only re-purposes the enemy's kit if it is better than what you already have, and, let's be honest, the Bretonian ships suck. Especially when compared to lynxes

The first step to winning snub fights is realizing that Lynxes aren't overpowered and that the Templar you're flying is actually a solid ship itself.
Although, of course, the only important factor in snub fights right now is who has more missile launchers mounted.

The second step is realising that the Paladin is probably the best HF in the mod, and is a hell of a lot easier and more fun to fly than its heavier cousin.
There's a reason I own two Paladins and sold/converted all my Templars.
