An increasing threat.

Hail Overwatch,

I am pleased to report the Armageddon is getting into position for the trip home,
I took the opportunity to fly to Minor to prepare for the upcoming patrol with the Liberty Navy 5th Fleet.
Shortly after I arrived in the system scanners picked up a large AI vessel, I'm guessing it's approximation would
be roughly equal to a cruiser. It seemed curious at first, following me but keeping its distance.
Once I arrived at my destination it closed in and started a conversation.

It seemed...conflicted, interupting itself with different voices, different tones.
At one point it opened up its docks, apparently some AI vessels have those, and I considered going in to see
what was going on. As I moved into position though, one of the AI's voices warned me not to do it.
I decided that, given the risk of the action in and of itself, combined with the provided warning, that it was best to
abort and keep my distance.

That's when it happened. It...As crazy as this sounds. It was infected. The damn machine, was infected, by a nomad.
From its docking bay I could see the blue tissue myself, there is no mistaking it.
The AI's voice pleaded for me to make it stop, while a commanding voice demanded it submit to its will.
Speaking, out loud, like any other comm system.

The AI managed to wrestle control and drop its shields, as well as disable its engines and most of its guns, giving me the opportunity to strike.
Given the difference in shipclass it was still an uphill battle, my Nephtys isn't exactly kitted for taking out capital vessels.
Further more, once the vessel was significantly damaged the squid managed to regain partial control and started firing most of its weapons,
but the opening given was enough for me to finish the job and destroy the vessel, Nomad and all.

Nomads infecting AI, a troubling development indeed.
The AI identified itself as CIX in the brief moments it got destroyed.
It fought the infestation throughout the entire process, I must confess
its conviction, if machines are even truely able to experience such things,
was worthy of respect.

Major Xander signing out.

Minor Patrols

Hail Overwatch,

The patrol in Omicron Minor with the 5th| Liberty Fleet and the Legacy of Orillion was
as eventful as one would expect. We met up with our 5th| Fleet contact at the Alaska
Jump Hole, leaving the field after some brief introductions so the rest of the 5th| could
be jumped in. At this point the Legacy agents arrived and we were ready to start our patrol.

Our first stop was at the destroyed alien gate, taking readings to ensure that it was still down
and not operational. Unfortunately the field directly around it completely scrambled our sensors.
We were unable to see eachother on radar even when directly next to each other.
To avoid further confusion in the wing we proceeded onwards to our next checkpoint.

On our way there we ran into a large Nomad warship, I believe this to be the largest of their
go to warfaring shapes that we are currently aware of. Without a single bomber, an Atlantis out of
its natural element and one Osiris it didn't seem wise to engage. Fortunately for us, the creature continued
on its way. At the very least it seemed to have made a pretty big impression on our guests, now that they
have seen what we deal with every day here in the Omicrons.

We proceeded with our patrol and made it to Toledo. The destruction seemed to catch the Libertonians
by surprise, they knew of what had happened there of course, but as we all know too well actually seeing
Toledo is...always painful.

Afterwards we finished the patrol by checking in on the nearby Junker base to make sure they weren't under attack
and then proceeded back to the Alaska Jump Hole.

The 5th| fleet invited us to come along as they jumped to a more secure location so we could discuss how
the patrol had went, as well as further actions, we accepted though our capital support provided by the Orillions
pulled back for now so as to further protect Omicron Minor. In Alaska it quickly became apparent that, due to increased
patrols, we would have to move elsewhere. On suggestion of the 5th| fleet we jumped into the New York system and made
our way to a secure location, meeting up with another Order vessel stationed in Liberty at the same time.

On our way there we ran into the Lane Hackers who were, understandably in all fairness, quite surprised by what they saw.
They tagged along as we continued to move to the designated location until we finally arrived.
There were some expected hostilities between the 5th| and the Lane Hackers and while I would have had prefered to
explain things later over comms, they were quite insistant that we did so now.

Considering we were at this point almost a small battlegroup, I suppose I can't hold that against them.

I explained that we had come due to a recent Nomad incursion in Liberty and that we had offered to further help
in preparations for an unavoidable future incursion. This seemed to satisfy the curiosity of the Lane Hackers and
they requested that we let them know next time we bring a fleet into the system, at this point we were three Nephty's,
a Skeleton and an Osiris strong, not counting the Atlantis and 5th| snubs, so again, fair assessment.

They also request that we send a communication their way explaining the results of our conversation.
After that, they left.

Once they were gone we moved a bit further into Liberty space and had a chance to talk with the 5th| fleet.
They indicated they were impressed by our performance and by extension our vessels and were interested
in exchanging snub type vessels. I said I would make mention of this to the Overwatch, and so I have.
The Legacy Agent seemed interested as well and indicated they'd forward it to their superiors as well.

Unfortunately we had to end things there, it seemed there was trouble elsewhere in the system, crime and whatnot,
and the 5th| had to go assist. We decided we would resume further discussions over secure comms at a later date due to this.
Fortunately however Rear Admiral Evans had time to bring us back to Omicron Minor using Jump Drive technology.

Quite the evenful patrol, but I daresay we made good strides today.

Agent Solandros,
Signing out.

Patrol Report

A few days ago I'd heard rumours from one of my contacts on Freeport 11 about a Core base deep in the Palau Ice Cloud near that ol' Azurite Reactor. My investigation turned up not just one, but two Core outposts deep within the field. They're located in the center of F2 and look like formidable targets.

I also encountered another installation which was identified as the "Lichtenfelde Complex" near the mining beacon. I'm sure it isn't a Core station, but I'm not sure what it is. If Overwatch isn't aware of its existence I got some preliminary data on it. Perhaps our guys in the Science Division can make better sense of it because it looks like gibberish to me.

I also did I a check on the Naru Defence Platform. My scans showed that it has already taken considerable damage or degradation. It could be an easier target than the two bases deep in Palau and its destruction would make it easier for us to harass any Core and AP Manufacturing shipping in the region. I believe that the Core are building these bases in Delta to cement their claims to the system and in my opinion it would be a disaster for us if they were able to secure Delta. It would give them a back way into the Nomad Worlds and would allow them to supply their Capetown Station on our doorstep unhindered.

Finally I did find one other base practically rubbing on the "west" outer side of the Azurite Reactor identified as "Zoner.Whale". It seems to be degraded and damaged to the point where a critical hull integrity failure could happen literally any day from now. Docking locks are still functional though, I couldn't access the station itself.

I hope this data is useful, I've attached some visual images from my guncams and forwarded the data onto our Science Division.

Commander Moreton, signing off.

Report 1.

Last entire week I observed increasing activity of foreign organisation well-known as Daumann Construction and Deep Space Engineering those usually doesn't make a threat for us, but before yesterday I've received a message from Mafdet escorts usually combs area around cruiser to make road safe. They detected indefinite Core transport that flew from planet Nauru sight directly towards alien construction called "Asurite reactor". Pilot decided to stop transport and find out his goals and destination. Under small psychical pressure transport's captain confessed his route was a small depot located not far from place, where transport had caught. His words were a true. A small station designated as "Zoner.Whale" has been constructed dangerously close to south-west wall of alien structure.

Are we done with that? Not yet. Very soon, patrol detected DSE supertransport with full loads of Iridium Ore, that coursed directly from area, where depot has been found. I am not sure, we haven't enough proves to designate DSE as Core suppliers, but we should keep eyes on them. Photomaterials and audiorecordings package attached to message above.

Report 2.

Last time i am more and more frequently receiving reports about AI vessels, those acting aggresively against our agents and Zoners which lurking around Freeport 11 and Delta in general. Every single meeting has started from weird broadcasts and finished with only result: self-defence.
Miles Drake, who took cruiser under temporar command, collected and shared an interesting information from the large artificial vehicle, that arrived to Omicron Sigma. I can't tell more, than I know Mafdet's crew chased AI cruiser, intercepted him in Omicron Mu and, at last, destroyed him. All camera shooting from past confrontations and every single phrase included. I strongly recommend you be careful and prepare to self-defence or even direct attack, when you see object, signed as "Amalgam".

Report from Cruiser Mafdet, that lurked region around Azurite reactor.
Yesterday, scanners detected movements through Palau Ice Cloud that was designated as civilian tanker. We tracked his route, followed and found transport with DSE signatures moving closely to one of the stations not too far from installation named Lichtenfelde Complex and transporting containers with Hull Segments. Attempt to establish radiocontact has failed and crew didn't respond instead requested to dock.

Our attempt to determine ownership dock with station has ended by activating defence systems and we had to move out immediately to avoid taking damage. I hope, information and attached photomaterials would be useful.

You may know more from audiorecordings I attach to message.

Also reporting about Corsair who tried a engage me and another agent at Sigma-59 system, when we had trip from the Port Said to Cairo Station. Unfortunately, I had to remove this Corsair from our way.

Patrol Report

Hola honourable Agents and representatives of the Order Overwatch. Thanks to approval of my recruitment application, I was immediately after arriving near Battleship Thebes got escorted by a Commander under codename "Starfire" later revealing his name, William. He escorted me to the Fort Carthage in Omicron Epsilon to help me gather my identification codes I needed in the Black Fleet. I couldn't imagine a better way to join the Order's primary fleet, due to kindness of Agents and organization that I didn't expect to be on such a high level. Of course, it was my pleasure to enter Omicron Epsilon for the first time, since I was only patrolling in O-Mu, O-Delta, O-Minor and O-Sigma during my times in the secondary fleet. We made a huge patrol consisting of visit to three systems, and encountering some Nomads on our way there. Patrol was successful, which gave me an opportunity to discover new Order assets and intelligence to a somewhat reasonable view. Thanks for the distant patrol. I will be patrolling whenever and wherever I can, and report anything new. Adios.

Patrol Report

Hola honourable Agents and representatives of the Order Overwatch. After finishing my first patrol in the primary fleet, I thought to myself it's time to do another one but this time only by myself. My patrol firstly took place in Omicron Mu in which everything seemed to be quiet, following Omicron Minor and Omicron Delta. However, in O-Delta I met an interesting Zoner transport belonging to so called Toccata Industries. I identified the ship as TI|WT-Alegria. Vessel was found in the nebula within Omicron Delta which is known to have Nomad activity. Transport itself seemed to be supplying something inside of it, with a Zoner transport without any escorts. I didn't want to question to confirm my predictions due to possibly disturbing pilot of the transport. Due to my curiosity, I questioned the ship about the AI ships. Pilot confirmed me presence of aggressive AI ships. I witnessed one of those in the secondary fleet under identification Amalgam|. They also confirm their aggressiveness, but they didn't report any casualties. That's it from my today's patrol, muchos gracias.
