[color=#FFFFFF][font=Impact]Comms ID:[font=Lucida Console] Fleet Admiral Andrew LeBlanc Target ID: [font=Lucida Console] Hellfire Legion Today was an ... eventful day my friends ... It started out per usual with the scanings of the New York system from the [HF]-HFB-Libertine on which I was present as sub-commander of the ship. Finding nothing worthwhile from the scanner report we moved closer to one of the shipyards to try and extract information about future LNS projects and ship modifications. After gathering nothing important we RVed with the Initiate Ned Ballentine above the lanes of Fort Bush and later after some discussion with him our scaners picked up the signal of the LNS-Thunderbolt which we were unable to locate earlier. After going closer to normal plane and our scaners picking up multiple bombers and fighters Ballentine bravely went after them and with multiple strong hits cleared the path for the "Libertine" ... Finally arriving at his location we were surprised to see that it was a kind of ambush, we met more than the Thunderbolt ... The LNS-Magma.Gazer (cruiser) went down first after which the LNS-Thunderbolt (carrier) followed and finally the LNS-Equilibrium (battlecruiser) ... Midway through the fight we were joined by: Mike Krestian (Hacker), [HF]-Matt.Tanner and Snaishek (Outcast) who also helped in the war against Liberty.... That is all for now the "Libertine" is in for some repairs but should be fully operational soon, MacArthur shall be sending you the footage from the fight shorly after my transmission... Godspeed, LeBlanc out. [color=#FFFFFF]Message status: [font=Lucida Console][color=#33CC00]Complete... [color=#FFFFFF]Message Sent... [font=Impact] Closing connection

After the Libertine charged in and asserted its battlefield superiority over the Liberty Navy's armor, it retreated; it'd been heavily damaged from fusillades from all three Liberty Navy warships. For me, however, the fight continued - several Liberty Police fighters were still active, and it fell to me to take them down. I decided to do so alone, thereby preventing the Liberty Police's not incompetent Captain Hamilton from going after a softer target, and ordered my wingmen back. Captain Hamilton received reinforcements in the form of Officer Hank Goodman - Officer Goodman's Liberator was first to go, Captain Hamilton's followed a little later. Not a single lawman/lawwoman remained in the field. Mike Krestian had decided to return to the area, by the way - a Bounty Hunters Guild bomber had arrived on the scene, Krestian asked me for permission to take it down. I agreed - why not, after all - and I'm pleased to report Krestian proved better than his opponent. Ned out. LSF Agent Felix Rodriquez, who promptly docked once I entered scanner range. I then began my recon of Fort Bush and encountered a poorly educated pilot by the name of Dave Cyprus, he remained unidentified. Manhattan was surprisingly clear aside from on USI. We heard comm traffic from Xenos and their attacks on some innocents. We reconned the area twice before finally circling around and finding them just outside Manhattan's defence grid. After some back and fourth between us, the Xenos decided to attack the squishies hanging around. We then engaged them. We collectively scored three kills I believe. One was scored valiantly by Linux who smashed into the opposing pilot, knowing full well the consequences that could've awaited him. Two scores go to Hayley. We fell back once the Oregon and several LSF pilots showed up. It all started when Initiate Hobbs reported a hostile force engaged in combat near Ft. Bush. We of course mobilized to help the military towards their inevitable defeat. Major Tanner, Initiate Curtis, and myself quickly took our Sabres (Reference: Series Z) to the location of the battle. By the time we arrived, it seemed to be winding down, but Major Tanner swooped in and felled one of our enemies before we moved on. A sign of things to come. As we moved on, it became clear that more firepower would be needed. I requested the assistance of the battleship Ven'Gyr (Reference: D5-2A "Ranseur" class), which arrived shortly along with Initiate Linux, Initiate Hobbs, Major Larkin Mori, and a fighter codenamed "Sphinx". As the Ven'Gyr moved in, our men were found and engaged by the Navy ace Logan Willows, who, unfortunately, destroyed Initiate Linux's ship. His escape pod was successfully retrieved. An unfortunate casualty. Shortly before the arrival of the Ven'Gyr, however, Initiate Curtis took out Willows' fighter with an incredible shot, earning him the Spark of Promise and a combat promotion to a Lieutenant. A Spark of Promise. After this, both Major Larkin Mori, the Sphinx, and myself all landed aboard the Ven'Gyr for a well-earned rest. Meanwhile, the Ven'Gyr proceeded with Major Tanner, the now-Lt. Curtis, and Initiate Hobbs on its wing. As it came to rest near Planet Manhattan, it was greeted by a large force of escort pilots with Universal Shipping, Inc, who actually attacked Initiate Hobbs. While initially reluctant, Hobbs eventually pulled off to avoid civilian casualties. The Legion force was subject to threats from these civilians for the remainder of our time there. A Navy battleship and a pair of escort fighters quickly appeared on the scene. The presence of a Legion dreadnought quickly gathered a lot of attention and a large crowd on both sides. We managed to avoid the catastrophic damage that would have been caused by a major capital ship battle above the planet, however, and spent the next few hours peacefully explaining the motivations, purposes, and works of the Legion as compared to the Liberty Navy... with regards to classification, of course. While it didn't seem possible for a while, we spent several hours peacefully idling despite continued threats from the civilians, and the pulled out for some much-needed rest after our explanations were finished. We have discovered that the captain of the LNS Iowa (Reference: Latest class number not available) is much more open-minded than most, and may yet be salvageable from the machine of Liberty. Major Tadao signing out. Message status: complete... Message Sent... Closing connection... Transmission ended... Hellfire Legion Message Dump (AO) - Zig - 08-16-2009 Incoming Transmission: Initiate E. Hobbs Chronicling yesterday evening's events as per Major Tadeo's request. Guncam recordings will follow. Fleet Admiral LeBlanc, Major Tadao and I mobilized our strikecraft in order to respond to reported sightings of the Liberty Navy's heaviest warship, the LNS San Francisco, in open New York space. As far as I could determine, having been the first Hellfire Legionnaire in the field, the San Francisco and its commander, Captain Seth Karlo, were responding to a Harvester-operated Outcast battleship, Prometheus or Harvester 24, causing mayhem in the general New York area. An incautious LPI officer let slip the San Francisco's position, namely by Rochester Base; we promptly proceeded there and, amid some amount of confusion caused by various factional presences in the area (the LPI, the LSF, a Zoner Juggernaut, Junkers, criminals, and a Freelancer or mercenary or two were all surrounding the site of the battle), witnessed the LNS San Francisco's destruction and subsequent reactor implosion at the hands (hands, sir?) of the Harvester. Captain Karlo somehow contrived to have himself picked up by the Harvester, rather than going down with his ship, as he'd originally planned. In the aftermath of the San Francisco's foundering and Captain Karlo's disappearance, chaos reigned in the New York system. We pulled back from the site of the wreck and retreated to a safer forward position, where we split up our forces. Major Tadao decided to pursue a diplomatic course of action and contacted Harvester 24 in an attempt to persuade it to turn Captain Karlo over to the Hellfire Legion. Meanwhile, a large, motley search party consisting of LPI, Liberty Navy, KoF and Freelancer pilots had formed and were attempting to track their kidnapped leader's signal down. At my suggestion, Fleet Admiral LeBlanc and I headed off to eliminate this search party, thus forcing law enforcement agencies to give Karlo up as lost and hopefully strike a blow at their morale. Following an idea of mine, Fleet Admiral LeBlanc and I set up camp at New York's sector C6, deep in the Badlands, where I sent a false systemwide transmission indicating that Captain Karlo (and his Harvester captor) had retreated here. Justifiably cautious, the search party sent only one of its members, Officer Alexandra Markey, LPI, to investigate - we immediately overpowered her, grappled her fighter's hull, and forced her to broadcast to her fellow searchers that Captain Karlo was indeed in sector C6. The search party arrived in full force and Fleet Admiral LeBlanc and I proceeded with the killing. It was a slaughter - one law enforcement officer, Fred Jersey, survived, and that only because he had the good sense (or ingrained cowardice?) to maneuver his ship around and flee the moment he caught sight of the two of us. The first to lose her ship, incidentally, was our hostage, Officer Markey - Fleet Admiral LeBlanc and I released our grappling hooks and ordered her to run away, but before she could, her own colleague, LPI Officer Joe Smith, decided, for some bizarre reason, to shoot her down. Incidentally, sir - this morning, I managed, after a short search, to root out and kill the sole survivor of yesterday's massacre, the Liberty Navy's Fred Jersey, by Fort Bush, thereby wrapping up the search party affair. Major Tadao managed to fast-talk the Harvester into handing over Captain Karlo while Fleet Admiral LeBlanc and I were disposing of the local law, but it seems the Harvester decided to give the Major Karlo's escape pod and something else besides - the Major lost control of his ship while removing the Captain from the New York system. His ship took him directly over Planet Manhattan, where it, regrettably, ejected Captain Karlo's escape pod of its own accord. It seems the contemptible Captain survived. Legion Secure line opened... message status: in progress... Comms ID: Major Tadao Target ID: Hellfire Legion Today, the Legion won a great victory! Admiral LeBlanc and myself were on patrol in New York when we received word from our agents that the Navy gunboat LNS Lansing, captained by Commander Galen Anderson, was on patrol and in an opportune location for an interception. With the Admirals permission, I took command of the patrol wing, and Admiral LeBlanc's bomber and my own "Swooping Osprey" quickly moved to intercept the gunboat. Our plan was to destroy it and salvage as much as we could, but as we moved in, we offered the Commander an opportunity to surrender. He did not, and thus our Broadswords moved to engage the Lansing. After a long and difficult fight that tried our endurance, we finally managed to disable the gunboat and destroy its engines. Finding himself outgunned and in no position to argue, Commander Anderson agreed to surrender his ship, as poor a condition as it was in, in exchange for his life and the lives of his crew. He and his crew ejected, and the Osprey tractored in their escape pods. Admiral LeBlanc and myself then proceeded to attach grappling hooks to it, after which we slowly but surely moved it to Freeport 4 in Magellan. We had to reassure several Lane Hackers, a Junker, and a Rogue along the way, and later picked up an escort in the form of a Lane Hacker. After some time, we reached Cortez, where we had a momentary issue involving the grappling hooks, and then went on to Magellan, the Lansing in tow. With the help of a bit of diplomacy and a Heavy Lifter, we managed to convince the Guild miners that we were just doing a good deed, and they had aforementioned Heavy Lifter help the Lansing moor with the Freeport. Our of our own transports, disguised as a Navy vessel, is even now on its way to pick up the Lansing and move it to Fort ****** for deconstruction and use as fodder for the Project I have been assigned. I have reason to believe that much of it may be unsalvagable, but this is mostly a guess. The actual condition, and therefore usefulness, of the LNS Lansing won't be able to be accurately determined until our men at the Fort have a look at it, but needless to say, this is a great victory and will give the Project a massive push. Meanwhile, true to our word, Commander Anderson and his crew were delivered safely to the Zoners on Bethlehem Station in Pennsylvania. I found him to be unusually reasonable, and he may yet be salvageable. My flight camera captured the following images of this highly successful operation. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Message status: ERROR Connection lost... Comms ID: Fleet Captain Richard Wainwright Target ID: Hellfire Legion First off, I must apologise for the lack of information flowing from my direction. I am still here, working hard to further our aims. I realise I must become more vocal! I was out for a spin in California yesterday, when I ran into a solitary Liberty Gunboat near Mojave. While I gathered my thoughts, and sought a way to hopefully ease some of the indoctrination the captain of the vessel has surely been influenced by, he swung his boat around and started to attack. Completely unprovoked as usual. ![]() They are becoming more and more blinkered. When the time comes, it should be easy for us to regain our rightful place as protectors of Liberty. The citizens must surely be more and more aware of the corruption that flows through the Liberty Navy. This captain was an easy target. He could barely scratch my Broadsword, while I rained Inferno and SNAC volleys down upon him. His vessel quickly weakened. Then, when he finally became aware of his dire situation, he broadcast a cowardly distres call. Before I could blink, two more gunboats were on the scene, one an Orca, the other a Bretonian GB. What the Bret GB was doing in California, I shudder to think. It wasn't even a BAF vessel. Anyway, their combined firepower forced me to retreat, so I moved on to Niverton. I shall be basing myself from here for the forseeable future, and look forward to the opportunity of finishing what I started with LNS Blade. Wainwright out. Message status: complete...
