RE: Aliens killing transports without a demand is bad for gameplay - Foxglove - 04-30-2020 The Vagrants are the vanilla Nomads that were pulled through the Hypergate. You can see that in the last cutscene. RE: Aliens killing transports without a demand is bad for gameplay - E X O D I T E - 04-30-2020 Aliens could always kill Transports without a demand (in the Omicrons) in all the time I've played Disco. Honestly, a 5ker thumbing its nose at a Nomad with no fear of reprisal would be even worse for gameplay because this alien war construct which was built for the express purpose of killing people and breaking things is going to have to sit there uselessly. Traders are the actual bottom of the food chain in Disco's pvp situation, and to exempt them from any actual predation would make people ask "Why should I log to help my friend being stalked by Noms? He's untouchable." This post brought to you by Bustard gang. Bruh, this shit is the truest words I've ever heard in this whole mod. RE: Aliens killing transports without a demand is bad for gameplay - Lythrilux - 04-30-2020 the duality of man: people simultaneously REEEing at the thought of nomads being unable to reap ez free kills from transports with little to no counterplay yet at the same time are utterly clueless as to why the omicrons lack ambient activity and are dry of traders i don't even know why this thread keeps getting repeatedly gravedigged, it only repeatedly confirms my suspicion that people completely miss the point of this thread and have no idea what they're talking about in their responses RE: Aliens killing transports without a demand is bad for gameplay - Backo - 04-30-2020 (04-30-2020, 03:03 AM)Wesker Wrote: Why do transport players behave like controlling girlfriends. I have the va cargo space, I make the rules! RE: Aliens killing transports without a demand is bad for gameplay - Shiki - 04-30-2020 What alien would demand from a transport anyway? "Could you please die, mister human, transport, or otherwise I will have to kill you myself." Transports are not being pirated right now anyway, trading is much safer than it ever was. Alien factions make at least some threat. "Could you please die, mister human, transport, or otherwise I will have to kill you myself." I find RP as a requirement good enough. I spare those who can speak back or they have a full cargo of mined ore. But if they keep silence or directly hostile with trying to call military in system-wide chat? That's exactly my turn. RE: Aliens killing transports without a demand is bad for gameplay - nevrozac - 04-30-2020 I think we all know that Delta ores are extremely underpowered for the route they require and and the threat of a Nomad station being 15k away from the mining spot. This being said I'm sure devs are capable of drawing a proper solution if they want to. Can we close this thread now?
