It wasn't so much an ion storm today, it was an ion hurricane... I was getting lag every 10 minutes.
Annoyed me to the point I logged off... I should have pinged the server for reference...

The last few weeks the lag has literally been killing me. If I fire a gun, or so much as bump into a small piece of space debris, I get a red ping disconnect. Often to come back and find my ship either destroyed, or severely damaged (Including the luxury liner).
My ping is fine, anywhere from 100-300 ms.

Today I thought it was over......but come around 2000 EST....same old thing. The game is unplayable. This really sucks. Other servers I can connect to and play with no problem. Never....ever had a problem with lag on this server for over a year. Now sometimes I cant even log on. Hawk and I are both on the East Coast of the USA and are having the same problem.

Looks like I missed this thread. Well, call it lag or not but I lagged out just after I logged on the server today. It was around 10 seconds when the lovely red flash emerged. And this thing has been happening for the last 3-4 days for me. I have a ping around 60-70 as of late. The server had 141 online folks when I tried to log. Some call it the load of server. I don't know what causes it, just dropping by with my issue.

Well about for the last 5 hours i'v had the best game in about ever .... my ping was about 300 and no once did it hit lag except for when i first launched and 8 ships were outside the base ..... don't know what you did but it worked

I have never had so much lag before today...it's made the game almost unplayable. I just did a ping test on it and the highest was 1018 and the lowest was 715. It's usually 300 ish

Interesting, I was on at the same time (same county, about 1000km away) and my ping was around 350 ms.

Lot of lag spikes today. A few times about 20 people lost connection at the same time. Even I had issues ... my usual response time is 20ms, and ICMP ping goes below that, so ... I wish you best luck figuring out what's causing it.

I heard lots of complaints about lag from other players, then I was affected (omega-15)
Saw the red warning flash (15 seconds/longer) a few times - thought it was a crash
Tried to dock ASAP and was frozen in the cut scene. (Saw ships drifting past like it was a crash)
I tried to F1, had to do a Ctrl-Alt-Del
Can't log back in after 5 minutes - says I am logged in already.
Uh-Oh
(My ping was 121 when others asked me about two hours ago to compare. I was on about 20 minutes before this post EST)
(30 minutes later, back, at the last station I was docked at. Laggy so I will try again later)
