I don't believe in placeholders, if we are going to add a new ship to the game, it should fit the role and rp that it's being placed into. The way we ended up with all these Homeworld and other imported ships is that people brought them in as placeholders. So, you can disagree with my decision on this all you want. I stand up and accept responsibility for it, and stand by it because I think it was the right choice.

I didn't think of them as Placeholders. In my Opinion the Ship would be perfect. It's cool, modern, while keeping the traditional Kusari Design like the Katana.

It is completely of Kusari design. It would be a fine Kusari civilian ship, but see the problem is that Renzu ships are sold all over Sirius, and selling such an obviously Kusari ship in say Bretonia, Rheinland or Liberty makes no sense. Renzu is a company with one foot in Kusari, and the other in the Sirius wide civilian market. These models only fill one of my requirements for the Renzu line, that they have some Kusari aspects to them, but they miss the rest in which they are still modern and cosmopolitan, representing a design that is not too closely tied to any of the houses.
But yes, as Jinx proposed them as placeholders, thats how I see them.

The reason the models did not go in, apart from the fact that renzu didnt want those ships, they were not the best quality works from jinx (no offence ofcourse). One rule i made clear when i became the head of the modelling section was that we will need to have (and we do have it now) a quality control system. the models just didnt cut it, and hence, even if zelot agreed with the models being put in, I would not agree till they were fixed and prepared according to the quality control system set in place.
while i understand your arguement of "a placeholder is better than a homeworld block of eyesorism", unfortunately it is not enough for me to change my mind. There are more things in play than i can talk about, making small ship udates to 4.86 is a bit more harder than it looks or sounds because there are other things that need to be covered. furthermore, if someone is so desperate to replace a homeworld ship, i cant accept a nearly as bad ship to replace the original model.. thats just redundant and stupid as well as a waste of time. the render posted in a few posts earlier is not really much better than the homeworld ship it would have been used to replace. granted, it may be worse in the render than in reality, but considering that the model was never submitted either, the topic is quite frankly pointless to argue over.
and yes, renzu (aka IND) did pay alot of money for the renzu liner to be made, and were willing to pay more for an entire renzu line, so their opinion does have a say in making the decision about the models getting to me for QA or not.
This topic is now being stretched more than it needs to be, and any more posts about this will be invis'd/deleted appropriately. i am currently working on the list, and will most probably post it tomorrow afternoon (since i need a couple of confirmations from a few other devs before i can finalize the list).

a few things:
- models were uploaded ( but i removed them from the upload server when they were rejected )
- they were of a "simple" quality
- they were proposed as placeholders
- they do look stikingly traditionally kusari
- reason for the reject was that they were too much kusari ( as pointed out )
reasons for the rejection was that it really does look too much kusari
and yes - the quality of those 3 ships was "simple" - so was the skinning. i might have improved that if they would have been taken, but the reason for the denial was a design reason, not a quality reason.

add gallic royal liner - or whatever it will be named...but its suppose to be unique ship (as only one in game) flown by Gallic leader....something like that kusari emperor thingy....except gallic version will be a transport ship not a BS

Jinx's RT didn't make it through. I dunno anything about the Charon, but the Renzu models will most likely be added in an update.
