Aoi Iseijin General Information and Place to cry your eyes out - Jinx - 04-12-2011 that is not meant to be written on behalf of mjolnir - but as my own opinion on that matter "If you think the Kusari wilde's equipment is overpowered, then why don't you nerf it? ( or as Ratni Blodo used to say: fix it/rebalance it)" what we do not want to do is to nerf things cause they are being exploited. that is why we address it so that the factions exploiting them can address it and fix it - what we still do is to nerf things when they are exploited and the people exploiting them telling us to nerf it or they keep exploiting them. ( hope you get the idea there ) i think we can agree that: - some combinations are OP - faction creation - and factions that have been running for some times are often somewhat different. its just theory and practice. - one cannot trust the word of anyone, cause promises are not kept - even if by the time they were given, the promise was honest and genuine - everyone tries to justify the use of anything - some are successful, others are not. - but being successful doesn t mean that its fair or for that matter "right" - the dev team usually tries to apply a multiperspecitve point of view on each matter - that usually leads to a much more objective pov than when only two sides argue. other things - in general: - not only here, but in many so called feedback threads ... factions often become WAAAY too defensive. ( just an observation ) - the funny thing about it is.... the more exclusive the faction, the more defensive and rude the comments ( btw. from both sides ) - keep in mind - when someone writes up a feedback... there must be a reason for that. it is best to seek out the source of that and address it in a civilized manner - otherwise it just inspires a shouting match. balance devs: - things are balanced so that everyone has a chance to have fun - that sometimes involves nerfing things - it does NOT involve making everything the same - some factions happen to be HAPPY with below average gear - and have been dealing with it for a long time without complaints. - it involves taking a good look at arguments being tossed around - reading the forum carefully - and also considering the different personalities in that community. - it also means to test things oneself - and only then - make up ones mind. currently the AI is asked to reduce specific combinations of ships / gear that are considered overpowered. - it would be easiest to say "alright, it is powerful - and cause you say so, we will reduce it to a fairer level" - almost no roleplay will be harmed in such a process. after all - we don t ask you to fly for example - virages with flashpoints. - what ppl have asked in the last several pages was "stick to the rules that apply to EVERY other faction", "please do not use combinations that we know are OP" and ppl also pointed out alternatives "hybrid cannons/blasters", "a wider selection of ships" ( having is of no concern - using is of a concern ) Aoi Iseijin General Information and Place to cry your eyes out - Rapur - 04-12-2011 ' Wrote:Cuz then people wouldnt have anything to cry about in this feedback. Unless they died again ingame, then its the same old thing over again, "Why are you using Nomad Blasters?" Aha  Nah, but seriously. Isn't it easier to do this: -Dev chat- Mjolnir: Let's nerf wilde Cannon: Aha Ratni-Blodo: np, time to rebalance Jinx: Yeeee Aoi Iseijin General Information and Place to cry your eyes out - chopper - 04-12-2011 http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=96784 Your cocky comments are not all that funny considering they are all you can offer as an answer to some negative feedback. Seriously, I'v been trough that roster and now I feel I have to ask a few more questions. You'v been telling us here, in this thread, that some of your members are infected Dragons and are thus flying Katanas. Now, if you open your own roster and check that sheet, you'll notice that same characters are using big variety of ships, ranging from Kaichou all the way to Katana. So, what, his GMG wife was infected too? Or you started producing your own Katanas? Or is it, I quote, "Hi, Tekagi here, i live next door, we need 15 katanas for our new members." Also, can you explain the scenario where your new members are assigned to Hanta Isejin first, and then to the Hunters later. I mean, what, Dragon gets infected in his Katana and you tell him "K, here's a Chimaera you go spy for us, we'll mount some lasers on your katana in the meantine". You also claim that the trappers are a big part of your roleplay, yet you use Hanta Isejin only as a proving ground for the Hunters. Aoi Iseijin General Information and Place to cry your eyes out - lw'nafh - 04-12-2011 Can you stop complaining now? 113th, even if infected, stay using all KNF gear, Jake scrapped the 113th with Wild IDs when Dave left. While it's not ultimately important that we use or have access to Nomad lasers, we really don't like the idea of having to change things around to make people happy. @Everyone: Balance issues are one thing. However, if a faction has been granted the right to use certain technology (Nomad lasers for example), then why are you complaining? As Frozen said all Nomad weapons have been balanced for the next mod. Let's see how the next mod goes and if things aren't satisfactory, then go ahead and complain. TL;DR: Nomad stuff has been reportedly "fixed" for the next mod. Complaining about it here won't do anyone any good. Play the game. Aoi Iseijin General Information and Place to cry your eyes out - Not Espi - 04-12-2011 because all duels end with the victor having 3% hull and 0 bots. that's roughly the advantage the guns give you. ps: l2pvp¬cry Aoi Iseijin General Information and Place to cry your eyes out - Jeremy Hunter - 04-12-2011 Me and another Bastet faced a,Aoi Chimmy, aAnne's,Karasu, and a Black Dragon I believe. And I've decided to voice in my opinion, and concerns. The Rising Sons of Kusari, ]bd[ in short, have been an official faction since Aug 16 2009. A fairly new faction when in comparison to some others, but still present here for quite some time now to establish a reputation amidst the community. As you can see here, the faction was -approved- by the Admins on the previously stated date, and the thread has since been locked so no editing could have taken place. If you would be so kind and look here now, you would notice that we have the Kusari snub craft stated as usable under "usable equipment". That was Admin approved, mind you. Yes, that has been approved prior to the tech chart, but was still approved. Why am I saying all this? Simply because if the Iseijin can use whatever they can, on the account that it is inRP, then why can't the ]bd[ do the same? Were we not KNF oh some time ago? Do we not still get a bunch of KNF deserters? We sure do. And to top it all, Chimaera (and the rest of the KNF snub line) was approved for usage. So we have both RP and rules at our side. Some may argue that once the tech chart is out, everything before that will be neglected. Which is fine, but I want to be shown where the Admins gave that notice? To sum it up, why do the Iseijin have access to every ship-line in Kusari and wider, while the ]bd[ cannot fly KNF ships? Even those that defected from the KNF cannot use them. I was also told the "It isn't buyable on your base, can't use it" argument. Why isn't that valid when it comes to the Iseijin? I would also like to add, that I wouldn't be saying anything if it weren't Admin approved, simply because then every unlawful faction can argue that their members should be allowed to fly the lawful counterparts of their enemies. And to add something else, I don't mind how many and what guns you use. You're Nomads for crying out loud, and I've no problem with you flying a fully Nomad kitted Chimaera. |
