RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - Eduard - 05-06-2013 Robert was glaring straight up at the cane which fell down and in the last moment, hit his forehead, good thing the cane hit his hat more than his hat, avoiding him of an unpleasant wound, still, his hat was knocked down on the ground. For a moment, the hit left him disoriented, a series of gallic words muttered through his mouth, something involving Parkes entire genealogical tree for short, good thing no one in the amphiteatre except maybe him, Achille and maybe Lucky knew proper gaul to understand his words, and if that wasn't enough, at least the gentleman code forbid him of saying those words out loud so that all the amphiteatre could hear him. Coming back to his senses, Robert reached for the cane and his hat, he put his hat back on his head, and then, he gave the cane back to Parkes saying, with an ironic smile on his face: " Gaul wine is not for those weak of blood, monsieur " He then let out a faint laughter, thinking back at the situation in retrospective. Robert then went to pour a glass of gaul red wine himself, he didn't found himself embarrassed, the old man must probably have leukemia by the looks of it he thought, who could blame him? He then returned and took a seat once again, one or two seats away of Parkes though, to avoid another unpleasant situation, and closing himself to Voncloud and Achille in the meantime by doing so RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - Gypsie - 05-06-2013 The Doctor watched the whole situation with great amusement, things like this were good to break the ice of a cold situation, so he smiled and then turned to Pope Carlisle, asking with a gesture for him to take care of the wounded Robert. Suddenly, his comm device beepbooped. It was a message from Freeport XXI radar control, apparently a GRN bomber squad had been spotted too close to the Baffin hole. He smiled again and switched the frequency to that of Pope Bretonnias.
Bret, something's come up. I need you to call a fighter wing from Pueblo Bonito to come and patrol the surroundings of the Rousillion hole. Frogs have been spotted near the Baffin wormhole in Tau 29. Tell them to be ready to assist Mal's defenses should they come through here. Oh and call The Council too, tell them that they may have to take care of witnesses, should Freeport XXI report their proximity to the Rousillion hole. He grinned, and sat to wait for events to unveil themselves. RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - n00bl3t - 05-06-2013 Parkes blushed furiously, much like the colour of the Gallic wine, before accepting the return of his cane. He did not trust the Gaul, but it was not his intent to hit him with a cane. Or was it? He sat down without much ado, not giving the game away. He then winked at Lacroix, before settling down into a more serious expression. "Mr Lacroix, I'm sure you just received word of this too." He said, showing Lacroix a transmission that was recently intercepted by Freeport 11 and the contents fowarded to the tablet in his coat pocket. "What do you make of it? Are they shutting down 74's corridor?" Parkes asked, knowing that Freeport 11 needed that corridor for supplies. RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - Quiron - 05-06-2013 Quiron took a look at the tablet remembering him a sensitive topic, the Zoner Allliance. "Yes, I've received it too." he sighed. "Their representative here hasn't spoken yet, still I am eager to hear it. It would be more interesting for me than a possible Gallic attack." He took a sip of his glass, giving him time to reconsider what should he say to Parkes as Quiron wasn't sure about the Eleven administrator's attitude towards them. "I am here in Baffin for a time, but news reached me aswell about their questionable motives. As I've heard in our internal media, we had some serious tensions with them due to an unauthorized extension built just inside of Livadia Shipyard. And before this incident, they had had problems with the Machines of Kappa too." said quietly. "Some groups simply attract the trouble, and I fear they are indeed one of them. I wouldn't like to be dragged something serious by other's stupidity." after a little pause, he continued. "Sorry, I was carried away. To answer your question, I hope they won't do anything which affect badly our existence in the deep Omicrons and maybe their representative will say something about it in a speech. If we feel our interests are offended, we should take steps as we did before." RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - rainth345 - 05-06-2013 When all these discussion happened.... things at the backstage of the Amphitheatre were running smoothly. Several classically-dressed waitresses, wearing the traditional-Greco dresses, were bringing in fresh new delicacies to the guests... and even a few empty bottles were being replenished by these daringly-clad women.... Professor Carlisle caught Dr Mojo' signal and immediately picked up a white coat resembling a medical doctor. It only took him a few seconds from being a backstage director.... to becoming a medical doctor. Carlisle's medical methods... were questionable... but they usually accomplished the most complex of tasks. To avoid suspicion, Doctor Carlisle used a secret passage to enter the Amphitheatre from the main entrance.... pausing himself for the moment to scan the room. He adjusted his thick glasses accordingly and smiled as he walked towards Monsieur Robert.... As if unintentionally.... Carlisle bumped into Monsieur Robert, throwing his hat once again to the floor. Without moments notice, Carlisle picked it up and said, "Oh my.... the hat must be gravely injured after that hit from the cane.... " He was patting the hat for any dust left as he said this..... "Pardonnez moi, Monsieur... but is this your hat?" He said as he presented the hat to Robert D' Autoine... RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - Eduard - 05-06-2013 " Oui, it is " he muttered as he was carefully examining the hat which was in the Doctor's hands. Fortunately for Robert, the hat was made of a material similar to denim or some inside-leather, the same material fedoras used to be made with. This allowed the hat to be easily repaired from any "damage" by simply pushing the hit part in the opposite direction from the inside. " Merci " he said as he took the hat from the Doctor's hands, pushing it from the inside with his fingers to fix it. He then pat it again to make sure it's cleared of dust, and then he put it back on his head. " I guess you were sent for me, non? You don't mind if I tell you I am completely fine, I hope " he said, smiling. " There's no need to worry for me as long as head is still on my shoulders, monsieur. I still appreciate your concern for me, it definetly means something " he said in an attempt to assure the doctor. Robert didn't want to receive medical service or inspection, he didn't see the need for it considering it was just a faint hit, nothing more. And he didn't like the image of him being under medical control in the middle of the amphiteatre RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - rainth345 - 05-06-2013 Professor Carlisle, being a psychologist from experience, could sense that Mister D'Autoine felt uneasy infront of all these guest... and decided not to attract any more attention. "Oui, I was sent for you.... Doctor Mojo can't help but look after his esteemed guests.... It is but one of the many remarkable traits of that man." Carlisle said as he gestured to the host. "But still... a mere hit to the head... can cause a great deal of pain, don't you think?" The doctor smiled as he made this remark... "I will be around if the headaches start...." He said as he turned away from Mister D' Autoine.... passing Doctor Mojo a wink before heading out the main entrance... RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - SMI-Great.Fox - 05-06-2013 ![]() A bionic hand pressed on the respond panel as the good Doctor spoke..
Understood Doctor Mojo.. I'll get on it... His first thoughts were a mix of anger and little disbelief as he leaned over the console. Before him was the shifting shpere of stars and neublas, representing their home and the rest of the sector. Bring up the report on those Royalists within Tau 29... And call up a few of the guards from Pueblo... I knew they couldn't resist the chance to take out the largest grouping of Zoners in one place... RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - Joggin - 05-06-2013 Rackham nodded sagely at Docs words. "Aye, it comes around and goes around, Doc. Those pictures you got a hold of demonstrate the perfidious nature of some of the people who call themselves Zoners. Whatever they were doing with the Gallics don't sit well with me..... at all." "And them Omicroners." Muttered Rackham takin' a sip of the red stuff. "They never answered for themselves properly, either." Let's see what the gathering makes of this, eh? RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - n00bl3t - 05-07-2013 "I'm not sure what to think of them Mr Lacroix. If they block off Omicron 74 however, my attitude will be most hostile. At the current moment, there are people of many stripes who drop off supplies and pick up rare things which cannot be obtained elsewhere, but if the 74 corridor is blocked they will not come and my Freeport will be forced to contract with others at presumably higher rates." Parkes said, analysing the situation. "I cannot let that happen. It would be the final nail for us out on the frontier." Parkes said, wondering even to himself where the phrase came from. Parkes stood up once more, observing d'Autoine flinch slightly as he stood. He cleared his throat, before booming, "Lee Bergrat, representative of the Zoner Alliance faction, please show yourself. I'd like to discuss the blocking of the corridor through Omicron 74." |
