RE: One Police Plaza (iRP) (FO) - freelancer knux - 03-29-2015 --Patrol Report-- Patrol: 1.1 Date: 28 March 822 AS Subject: Troublesome Freelancer Reporting Officer: Kyle Cosmo So for a first patrol this was rather relaxed in the New York system I checked all the vessels I past scanning their cargo holds and checking their papers making sure they were clear to operate in Liberty. One freelancer I stopped for a check vessel name Un_Om seemed rather friendly offering up some donuts for me and we had a bit of a chat. I moved onto the Pennsylvania system where again it was rather quiet everyone I ran into had the right papers and seemed law abiding so after a while I returned to the New York system. After stopping off to get a Sunbucks coffee I was passing planet Manhattan where I again encountered Un_Om after a casual greeting however Un_Om opened fire on my Liberator I moved so as to avoid further fire when they screamed shoot me and docked on Manhattan. It wasn't long however before they returned to space where I was waiting I issued an on the spot fine for assaulting a police officer and informed them to pay or lose docking rights they refused to comply and fled to Planet Erie. While I did have superior fire power I chose not to shoot them down as I didn't wish to accidentally harm the civilians in the area. Ship Comm Log of Incident below: RE: One Police Plaza (iRP) (FO) - Harold McDunnough - 03-30-2015 Liberty Police Report
Report #: 001 Callsign: LPI-H.I.McDunnough[D] My first day on patrol and I have to say it's good to be back in the saddle. As per my unofficial briefing with Chief Valent I made my way into Texas and headed towards Puerto Rico. Wasn't long before I found my first Junker Congress member flying a Pilgrim liner from the PR jumphole. The ship was named JunkerTown and as luck would have it turns out this is their leader. Made contact with this James Trenton and proceeded to question him. In no time at all another Congress transport arrived. The meeting was peaceful and they even offered me some coffee. I took them up on their offer and the transport known as Rustoleum left to go and retrieve it. James stayed and waited with me and a few seconds later Rustoleum returned with the brew. He handed me a fresh brewed cup of Sunbucks coffee. Since no laws had been broken and they answered all of my questions I let them leave. Report #:002 Callsign: LPI-H.I.McDunnough[D] Started my patrol from Adirondack. Shortly after undocking I came across another one of the Congress Arbiter's transports. Nothing unusual to report the ship was moving Copper ore to Denver. I inquired if he would be willing to bring in some more supplies for our station. He quickly accepted and later I confirmed the ship did drop off a load of Reinforced alloys there. Communication transmissions documented and attached below. File attachment Moments after my meeting with the Junker I picked up a reading over TLAGSNET about a fighter carrying Liberty Police pilots. The callsign was Scotia which is closely familiar to the already wanted FL-Scotia. Scanner indicated he was heading to Texas so I headed there in pursuit finding Scotia near Houston. I called it in once I had intercepted the ship and found he was in fact carrying Liberty Police pilots along with several Xenos. Scotia attempted to flee from me at this time but back up arrived as David Anderson another rookie officer arrived on the scene. He was disrupted and I proceeded to question him. Not long after LPI Chief Valent arrived for additional support. Scotia at first seemed compliant even handing over the LPI pilots but then refused to turn over the xenos. Repeated requests were ignored and he stated we would need to destroy him to get the terrorists. Shots were fired and it was clear my ship wasn't fully equipped at this time to be effective. Also my being away for so long seems my dogfighting skills just weren't as sharp as they once were. Sadly to report my ship was destroyed but luckily Chief Valent was able to rescue my escape pod. Unfortunately his bomber did not have the cargo capacity to save the other pilots and they were taken by the criminal Scotia. For safety reasons Chief Valent broke off the pursuit and returned to base with my pod intact. David chase the subject but wasn't able to apprehend him. I reported to medical and was given a full examination. Only a few minor bruises, scratches along with a deeply wounded ego were reported. All units should be on the lookout for this freelancer calling himself Scotia. Proceed with caution he is highly skilled and very dangerous. Detain, arrest or destroy this ship and capture or kill this fugitive on sight. Guncam and communication logs attached below. Guncam attachment Communication file RE: One Police Plaza (iRP) (FO) - freelancer knux - 03-31-2015 --Patrol Report-- Patrol: 2.0 Date: 31 March 822 AS Subject: Nothing in the manual covers this Reporting Officer: Kyle Cosmo I will admit I was wanting to see something good on my second patrol but this was crazy. Patrol began in New York I undocked from Manhattan and headed to fort bush when an AI fighter (Wintermute) exited the tradelane. Of course I stopped them and started a full scan of the vessel I also tried to figure out its purpose in Liberty. It was a different experience talking with an AI it seemed curious as to what "Police" is so I tried explaining to it what we do, It decided we are like a firewall I felt that would was acceptable for it to understand it needed to listen to us. I was still deciding what to do with it when I received a call for help from an LNS ship with a vessel refusing to leave Liberty. Without a second thought I headed to assist but as I wasn't thinking I also allowed the AI to follow me. I arrived on scene to find a council battleship (The.Terror) engaging the LNS battleship (LNS-Vanish) that asked for help. Instantly I tried to calm the situation and asked everyone to hold fire, It worked everyone stopped shooting the LNS left to be repaired I believe while the council ship started babbling some rubbish about not having a bad attitude. I tried multiple times requesting that the.terror leave Liberty space but my options were very limited seeing as my Liberator doesn't have the weapons to take on a battleship. After trying so very many times to get it through this captains head that he needed to leave the LNS-Vanish re appeared on scene unfortunately the.terror didn't even try to talk and opened fire on them. Thankfully and I give total credit to the captain and brave crew of the LNS-Vanish they lead the.terror away from Norfolk. The fight look as though it was coming to a close when suddenly the.terror broke off and headed towards Norfolk both the LNS and I attempted to deny docking access but he either some how hacked docking controls or a comms didn't make it in time because the.terror docked. Taking this breather the AI started asking what just happened as I began to explain the.terror undocked and started to re engage the LNS-Vanish which was retreating back towards fort bush. the.terror returned and again refused to leave Liberty or accept that their docking access was revoked. Then they opened fire upon the AI (wintermute) I couldn't believe it I asked what the captains problem was to which he replied "Leave me alone" I responded with "No you are Liberty's problem." That was close to the last thing I remember though as the.terror then destroyed my Liberator. I woke on Norfolk pretty bruised up but I will be reporting for duty after a day or so rest. I recovered the logs from the pieces of my ship. Ship Comm and Cam Log of Incidents below: RE: One Police Plaza (iRP) (FO) - freelancer knux - 04-01-2015 --Patrol Report-- Patrol: 3.0 Date: 01 April 822 AS Subject: Still got the new ship smell. Reporting Officer: Kyle Cosmo Well I decide I was fit for duty and got my new ship sent over to me, The seat isn't as comfy as my old one and I need to fill the cockpit with empty donut boxes but it will do. I started my patrol in the Texas system and started to head towards the jumpgate to New York. On my way to the gate I ran into a freelancer (Lotos) I scanned them and their cargo hold was empty and their ship seemed fine so I moved on to the gate. Just before I entered the gate however a ship (Subject_89P13) jumped in from New York I decided I would give them a quick scan before meeting up with some other officers. It must've been this guys unlucky day because my scan revealed he was carrying BBMs (Black Market Munitions) I asked him to cut his engine but he ignored me and powered away at cruise speed too bad for him my Liberator was much faster. As I radioed for assistance from the nearby officers I managed to get the smuggling vessel to stop. I asked what they were carrying knowing quite well it was BBM but maybe they had a good reason. Sadly his reasoning was poor at best claiming they were party poppers for kids. Thankfully as Subject_89P13 was lying about his goods back up arrived in the form of Officer Kristoffer, Detective McDunnough and the Chief. Detective McDunnough took over the investigation and began questioning the vessels captain who claimed they go by the name "Rocket". "Rocket" became increasingly unhelpful during his questioning and after repeated warnings to drop his cargo he finally did only to destroy it in front of all of us needless to say this and his uncooperative attitude translated into his ship being destroyed. We all then moved to New York and started heading towards Norfolk when the tradelane was taken down by a Lane Hacker (LH~Garrett's.Thor) They seemed very sure of themselves and had this bizarre ship I haven't seen before. Even with the four of us there they insisted on fighting not that the fight lasted long as they moved to engage they over shot us and kept moving at a crazy pace I fired a disruptor at them and then there was and explosion off in the distance. We didn't hear from them again so I assume they died in the explosion. After that I moved off and had a talk with the chief. Report #: 003 Callsign: LPI-H.I.McDunnough[D] Came across this Rogue Scylla Destroyer in New York. Far too powerful for me to take on without back up. Decided to tail the suspect as it cruised by Fort Bush in the direction of Rochester. Seeing the direction it was headed I contacted Junker Congress in the area. They replied and were enroute to our location as DeathCollector got into range of Rochester. At this time I called in for additional support from the Liberty Navy and another police officer nearby. The Junkers were just coming into scanner range as the Rogue docked on their station. DeathCollector returned a short time later admitting to doing business on Rochester. Congress ships now in the area told him to leave and the Rogue attempted to flee. Now having a cloaked Liberty Navy capital ship in the area we intercepted the criminal and engaged his vessel. Shots were fired and a few minutes later the Rogue was destroyed. Report #: 004 Callsign: LPI-H.I.McDunnough[D] As requested by the Chief I began investigating privately owned stations in Liberty. Part of required and routine inspections for licensed stations legally allowed to operate. Most were in order except when attempting to locate Oyster Creek. Even though it is registered its location wasn't listed anywhere and even with extending my patrol zone I was unable to locate it. Returning to base I encountered a Congress ship leaving Adirondack that had dropped off base supplies. I questioned on as to the whereabouts of this station. Lucky for me he knew and was willing to show me where it was. At the Texas jumpgate in New York came across a Hacker on the lane. She quickly moved away just before handing over two LPI pilots she claimed to have saved. Also in the area were several ejection pods containing LPI and LN pilots. With the Junker's help we were able to retrieve all the pods. The Hacker fled the area and was not seen again. With the pilots safely on board of my ship and the Congress transport we proceeded on to Texas. Releasing the wounded men to Houston's Medical Facilities. Happy to report they are all safe and sound and should have a speedy recovery. The Junker lead me to the grid coordinates for Oyster Creek in the Texas system. It's located above plane in a radiation field around grid coordinates 3C. It shows to be hostile to the LPI and cannot be landed on to be inspected. This is a clear violation of the base registry laws and is subject to fines or penalties. Anyone seen entering or exiting this station needs to be stopped and questioned. Furthermore pending this investigation the station owner may need to be contacted and ordered to comply. SWAT and high ranking LPI officers are asked to make regular patrols of this station and monitor any ships in the area. Report #:005 Callsign: LPI-H.I.McDunnough[LtD] Patrol started out pretty routine today. Made my way over to Puerto Rico made contact with Congress. Encountered a super barge transport just inside assisting with a large scale scrap salvage operation from Texas. Several transports were convoying scrap mined in the highly radiated fields in Texas by Congress scrap mining ships. Was rather impressive to witness this operation in action seems this group is highly advanced in their salvage abilities. Not much else to see so I proceeded back into New York and landed on Adirondack for my shift break. After my break I went back to my office and was called by a confidential informant working for me on La Fortaleza in Puerto Rico.. He indicated that the Congress had just recently found a large convoy of smugglers attempting to move thru PR with contraband. La Fortaleza's weapon platforms managed to stop the convoy from entering Liberty from PR. I'd just boarded my ship when dispatch patched a call into my radio from Congress command. The call was from the Arbiter of the Congress James Trenton that indicated he wanted to turn these items over to the LPI. I was surprised to say the least. He stated that this was an effort to keep to the agreement with the LPI. Good thing too because my informant had already relayed me the information about the contraband. I agreed to meet with the Congress convoy in PR and made my way there. Upon arrival I found several large transports all filled with artifacts. They then followed me as I escorted them to Adirondack station. I am happy to report that all artifacts are now safely stored and ready for disposal on Adirondack base! This was the largest contraband confiscated that I have ever seen. So I inquired as to who this smuggling group was. Turns out not only did they manage to secure the contraband they did secure several ejection pods. The pilots were alive but unconscious and were also being handed over for interrogation. All the suspects were sent to Adirondack medical and will be in for a rather nasty surprise when they wake up. Once they recover we will question them further. Guncam evidence to follow..
