RE: One Police Plaza (iRP) (FO) - freelancer knux - 04-11-2015 --Patrol Report-- Patrol: 4.0 Date: 10 April 822 AS Subject: Hacking their way to a life sentence Reporting Officer: Kyle Cosmo What started as a calm patrol through New York exploded into a mess of violence. While passing west point I received a comm from a trader nearby that there was a rogue attacking traders near the Colorado jump gate. As I moved to engage the rogue however I found a LSF agent in a gunboat, a miner and a Lane Hacker fighter all having a bit of a shooting war. Choosing to intervene I tried to discover what the hacker was up to. He tried to play innocent claiming the LSF agent was extorting him for credits but after a scan of his cargo hold I discovered he had LPI pilots on board. No longer caring what the situation was I demanded he released the pilots to me. Being the Hacker scum he is he instead decided to get smart with me instead obviously thinking his fighter could out match my bomber needless to say he was wrong plus the LSF agent assisted in taking him down. After dropping the hacker off at Adirondack for questioning and rearming my ship I moved on to the Colorado jump gate with the LSF agent to deal with the rogue. We arrived at the jump gate with no rogues in sight so we jumped through the gate only to find the rogue running from us back through it to New York. After our ships were able to we followed him back through to New York not having sight of him we agreed to split up in order to find him. Meeting up at the jump gate to California the LSF agent and I were going to do another sweep of the system in order to find the rogue when I was contacted by a member of Knight Industries informing me there was a hacker at the Texas jumpgate. Arriving at the gate I found to Lane Hackers who followed a trader through to texas. I contacted the LSF agent and gave him my location as I pursued them into Texas. These two hackers also didn't seem worried about my ship and tried to extort money out of the trader. I was warning them to back off when another transport vessel approached the area the two hackers split up in an attempt to get money from both vessels. Thankfully the LSF agent arrived and we were able to try and deal with the hackers one each. The hacker I stuck with used the Liner he was pirating as a shield preventing me from getting a clear shot while he extorted money out of them. Unfortunately he was able to get money out of them and moved to assist his friend. The other hacker had less luck as the vessel they tried getting money from listened to us and wasn't responding to them. Both hackers chose to flee through the New York jumphole in an attempt to lose us. I had no intention of letting them go so we followed them through the jumphole. The badlands seem named correctly the place was a nightmare to try and fly through. The hackers noticed I was having trouble and even attempted to get money out of me naturally I told them where to go and engaged them. Sadly I wasn't able to fight well against both of them in the crowded field and my ship was destroyed. Lucky the LSF agent recovered my escape pod and brought me to west point. Besides my pride taking a beating and the loss of my ship I'm okay I even managed to download my ship comm logs before it being destroyed although my guncam and its evidence was lost with my ship. Ship Comm Log of Incidents below: RE: One Police Plaza (iRP) (FO) - freelancer knux - 04-12-2015 --Patrol Report-- Patrol: 5.0 Date: 12 April 822 AS Subject: Working out the kinks Reporting Officer: Kyle Cosmo After getting my new ship I took off on patrol starting New York the system was very quiet no real comm chatter by anyone. I made my way from west point to norfolk where I found a trader, After asking them to stop I scanned their cargo hold and found some military vehicles and a Union pilot nothing illegal but interesting so I began questioning them about it and their answer seemed legit so I moved on to Fort Bush. I decided I would head through Colorado to see if it was a peaceful there but when I approached the gate a transport ship belonging to the Crayter Republic jumped through into New York unsure as to why they would be here I questioned them and scanned the vessel. The captain of the vessel assured me they were simply here for trading some scrap. I will admit I wasn't particularly in a pleasant mood and could have been nicer but they gave me a touch of lip as I let them continue on their way so I did ask if they had a problem they simply said I was impolite. Moving into the Colorado system I took the trade lane towards Denver. The trade lane was down bout half way across but their was no one around so I decided I would wait for the lane to come back up. As I waited however a transport vessel named Hexar got pushed out of the lane. I preformed a quick scan on them and found they had a cargo hold full of artifacts. I ordered the vessel to stop but they ignored me and started charging their cruise engines so I fired a cruise disruptor at them and asked them to stop again three time s this pattern repeated itself with the captain of the vessel refusing to talk so I destroyed the vessel. As I attacked the smuggler another ship appeared in the area another trade ship this one called Moonshine.minute. I destroyed the Hexar but my ship didn't have the space to take all the artifacts so I started to destroy the artifacts that were left in space. I did believe I saw another tractor beam other then my own when I destroyed the Hexor however and the only nearby vessel was the Moonshine.minute which quickly fled the area. I made the decision to make sure all artifacts that I couldn't take with me were destroyed before I moved on to prevent others from smuggling them further into Liberty. After I destroyed the artifacts floating in space I headed straight to Adirondack to drop off the artifacts which were in my hold. I then thought to myself that there was a good chance the Moonshine.minute had taken some of the artifacts so after asking myself where would one go if they just acquired some "hot" loot I headed to Rochester figuring maybe they were try sell the artifacts to the junkers. As I came into range of Rochester there was a Lane Hacker LH~Nena.Bismaquer hanging around the area I felt finding out if the trader had artifacts was more of a concern then what the hacker was doing. My hunch was on the money it seemed as the moonshine.minute undocked from Rochester and started heading towards the Colorado jump hole. I asked them to stop and they ignored me so I fired a cruise disruptor at them and asked them to stop again. This got their attention and they did indeed stop but as I began questioning them the Hacker decided to give their two credits on what was going on. I scanned the moonshine.minute while we were talking and found no trace of artifacts and because of the Lane Hackers presence I determined I wouldn't get any information from them so I told them they were free to go as the trader left however the hacker fired a cruise disruptor at them. I went to engage the hacker taking it as attempted piracy but my ship started having technical difficulties. So not being able to fight I tried dealing with the hacker by issuing them with fines for the laws they broke. I issued them with a total of 2 million credits worth of fines for disrupting the peace by shooting at the transport and for interrupting my investigation when I was trying to question the transport. No real surprise the hacker claimed they didn't have the funds to pay the fine, Then they must have gone crazy tried giving me a fine for bothering them. After it became clear they weren't going to pay the fine I went to arrest them, They claimed the wouldn't come peacefully so I went to destroy their vessel and take their pod back with me. Unfortunately as I went to engage them my ship suffered further failures this time effecting my steering and engines. Shock of the day came from the Hacker realizing I was having issues and they stopped firing upon me. It seems time was my friend in this instance as I went to leave a Rogue destroyer Falen. showed up on scene. I engaged my cloaking device and returned to Adirondack as quickly as I could. The tech guys are looking my ship over now to find out what happened and fix the broken components. Guncam wasn't working either due to these faults but comms log was. Ship Comm Log of Incidents below: RE: One Police Plaza (iRP) (FO) - Cap.Maxwell - 04-16-2015 Patrol Report #5 Officer:Johnatan Maverick Subject:ALG Waste Disposal Date:April 16.-822A.S. A productive day today i had.And it was actually an accident.I was getting my vessel back to Manhaten to my trusty mechanic for a checkup. When, right outside of Adirondack there was an ALG Waste Disposal transporting vessel loaded with Premium Scrap. As it isn't allowed for the ALG to transport anything but Toxic Waste in their designated vessels, the Colossus,Uruz and the Behemoth.I halted it and had a little conversation with the pilot Gerhard.Heizberg.Honestly he was pretty silent and simply complied with my demands, and was escorted out of Liberty Space. The checkup was fine...everything went well.I took upon myself to have a little patroll.I ran into a Civilian called "Duke" piloting a Red Hessian craft. He was fined for it compenhensevly. The logs are available. After that,i went back to Adirondack to file this report, and called it a day... Gerhard.Heizberg "Duke" RE: One Police Plaza (iRP) (FO) - freelancer knux - 04-20-2015 --Patrol Report-- Patrol: 6.0 Date: 19 April 822 AS Subject: Foreign vessel and the usual scum Reporting Officer: Kyle Cosmo I figured no better test then the real thing so I took my new Avenger out for a patrol around New york which was nice a peaceful, Stopped a couple trade vessels gave them a scan but they were all good so sent them on their way. Flying into Pennsylvania on the other hand was a bit different while flying through the system everything was good no rogues hanging around and just a couple mining ships. I decided to take a look into the Ralston Ice Field just to make sure the are was clear as I have found pirates in there before attacking the mining vessels while they are distracted. My first two passes of the field were clear but some thing was bugging me as I also didn't see any miners in the field which is quite unusual so I expanded my patrol range of the field to include all of the Hallam Nebula just in case I was missing something. As I was finishing my patrol of the Hallam Nebula I detected a very odd ship at the edge of the Nebula so I moved to intercept it. Arriving at the ships location it appeared heavily damaged but the ship was tagged SCRA (SCRA|Kyle,Winston) and was transmitting Coalition IFF I attempted to communicate with the ships pilot but they appeared to ignore me so just in case it was a problem with their comms system I fired a warning shot at the vessel disabling its shields but still no response. Not wanting to take the risk that the pilot was simply playing dead while I was around but then attacking miners when I left I choose to destroy the ship and take the pilot into my custody on the grounds of failing to respond to an LPI Officer. As I was returning to Adirondack to question the pilot I identified two ships using TLAGSNET which appeared to be criminal vessels the last location for them was the Texas jump gate so I headed there full speed. When I got there it was just as I suspected two criminal vessels were there and they had just destroyed a civilian transport. The crew of the transports seemed ok in escape pods so I radioed for a rescue ship for them as I moved to engage the criminals who of course started to flee upon my arrival. The two vessels in question one belonging to an Outcast (Swooper) and the to a Hacker (Traps) fled into the Badlands towards Buffalo Base as I pursued. The Outcast then all of a sudden chose to engage me but to remain silent over the radio he managed to take my shield down and as I went to return fire the Hacker started to ask why there was shooting. I stopped my ship and was answering the hacker when the Outcast began attacking me again. No longer having any patience for him I destroyed the Outcast ship and took the three crew members into my custody. The Hacker seemed alot more reasonable and was answering my question as to what went on with the transport he claimed it was trigger failure which resulted in the transports destruction I have high doubts about that seeing how trigger happy the Outcast was. While he was answering me questions I preformed a scan of his vessel I was shocked with my findings. He had counterfeit software on board which wasn't much of a shock seeing as the're a Lane Hacker but when I checked the weapons of the vessel it had Nomad weaponry attached to it. I asked about the software and Nomad weapons which lead to the Hacker fleeing to Buffalo Base while I was still questioning them unfortunately I was unable to stop them from docking and hiding on the station and seeing as its a rogue station as was unable to even attempt landing in order to try and catch them on foot. So I returned to Adirondack with all four of the criminals. I do think the Hacker vessel Traps should be watched out for very carefully seeing as it has Nomad weapons there is a high chance the pilot and crew are working with the Nomads. All in all I think this new ship handled itself quite well. Ship Comm Log and ship scans of Incident below: RE: One Police Plaza (iRP) (FO) - freelancer knux - 04-21-2015 --Patrol Report-- Patrol: 7.0 Date: 21 April 822 AS Subject: We got trouble and lots of it Reporting Officer: Kyle Cosmo So another laid back patrol through New York scanned a few cargo ships nothing to report there so moved on to Texas. While in the Texas system I was having a talk with a Junker when TLAGSNET lit up with the most interesting find yet two vessels tagged BDM| entered the Texas system I moved as quickly as I could to the jumpgate to try and locate them but unfortunately by the time I arrived they had already left the vicinity. I tried contacting other Liberty forces in the area to assist me in scanning the area for the two ships but none were available. Having to search on my own I scouted a couple of jump holes the one to Puerto Rico and the one to California but no sighting of the two ships so I headed back towards Planet Houston. Not sure what happened with the two ships I decided to head to the New York system to do a patrol making sure that no one capitalised on the fact that I was busy. While taking the trade lane to the New York Jump gate however my scanner picked up a LR (LR-Hamster.Torpedo.3) ship in the area so I left the lane and moved to engage. As I approached the rogue my scanner picked up another two readings surprise surprise it was the two BDM| ships(BDM|U-201 and BDM|-Ins.Hanz.v.Manich) . All three ships were within 2k of each other and seemed to be talking peacefully. I tried to question the BDM| ships as to what they were doing in Liberty but they didn't seem to want to answer my questions and looking at the ships one fighter and a gunship I realised I wasn't going to be able to force an answer out of them. The Rogue on the other hand seemed to have a few screws loose even more then a standard rogue as I believe they tried to ask me for funds I of course refused and threatened to arrest them if they didn't leave as I wanted to question the BDM|. Trust a rogue though the nutter figured it was a good a time as any to engage me, As I powered up weapons and moved to avoid the torpedo he launched at me, I do believe the BDM| began powering weapons to fire upon me as well. Odds were stacked against me but I fought hard but the rogue truly lost his mind he fired a torpedo at me when there was about 20 meters between us the lunatic destroyed both of our ships. Thankfully I was able to eject and was collect by a passing patrol a couple hours latter, I have a broken wrist but managed to save my ships scan images and comms log. The most troubling part about all this though was the fact it appeared as though the BDM| was working with the rogues, I've included all comms in my report and I suggest we alert the other Liberty Forces about this as this could mean trouble. Ship Comm Log and ship scans of Incident below: RE: One Police Plaza (iRP) (FO) - freelancer knux - 05-02-2015 --Patrol Report-- Patrol: 8.0 Date: 02 May 822 AS Subject: Organs on ice Reporting Officer: Kyle Cosmo Moving out on patrol in New York it seemed like another relaxed pace day. As I approached planet Manhattan I found two vessels one belonging to the Navy (5th|John.Armada) and one freelance science vessel (SV-Atreyu) they appeared to be talking so I proceeded to scan the SV-Atreyu quietly. However while scanning the SV-Atreyu I found they were carrying human organs I had to speak up at this point and I asked them to hand the organs over to me. The captain of the SV-Atreyu then claimed that they had premisson to carry them but the navy pilot spoke up and said that they could not find any evidence to support that claim. When we questioned on this permission the captain claimed they had be given permission from a Alex someone of the primary navy fleet. I made the call that it was a very weak defense at best espicially as I hadn't seen any other primary navy ships in New York during my patrol so I decide that I would take the organs but not fine the captain as this was an unusual situation. Of course as expect the captain had a couple arguments but did hand the organs over as I went to leave however they continued with their protests were I informed them to look at it from my perspective they were carrying organs without a permit. They tried arguing that it is a research vessel not a pirate ship hence the organs must've be obtained legally so I made the argument that means they could be operating on slaves. At this point they crossed the line when the said "Who is to say that you aren't going to sell Mr. Losen's donation on the black market." that phrase made me believe that it was their intention all along to sell the organs so I fined the captain 2 million credits for carrying contraband. They reluctantly paid but also threatened that they would get 10x of the money back in a law suit against the LPI. At this point the 5th fleet pilot was putting their opinion into the conversation adding things like "LPI-SWAT-K.Cosmo[U], hand these organs to me and I will keep them until this case can be proved right or wrong." and "If I was Primary Fleet I could ensure that he speaks the truth" They were unneeded but I guess the 5th fleet believes they have authority over us. Anyway the organs are on Adirondack in my ships hold. Ship Comm Log of Incident below: RE: One Police Plaza (iRP) (FO) - Vigilia.Procuratio - 05-07-2015 Corrigan Upton was encountered asleep in the canteen, surrounded by approximately umpteen empties. A logbook was recovered, which for unbeknown reasons had to be surgically removed from his forehead... Very Unimportant Note: The following transcription is intended only for the amusement of Fort Bush. If it has been received in error then please stay calm and blame the Xenos. Code: LPI-SWAT-C.Upton[Gr]: Hello again.RE: One Police Plaza (iRP) (FO) - Maskage - 05-15-2015 ![]() Name: J.D. Masket Rank: Lieutenant Subject: Patrol Report May 14, 822 A.S. First patrol report after my vacation on Curacao... Good to be back. The lanes were quiet so I decided to go check on the miners in Pennsylvania. I came across a freelancer we see frequently, who had a sizeable stash of wine and vodka on board his ship. Seemed awfully convenient to have it in reach so I did a field sobriety test on him. I wouldn't say he was drunk but he was definitely under the influence, I suggested he park his ship until he could sober up a bit. Log of the test included. He barely passed the test, and his responses were very sluggish. If seen again flying in this kind of state I might recommend a fine. Evidence: Name: J.D. Masket Rank: Lieutenant Subject: Second Patrol Report May 14, 822 A.S. This is an addition to my previous report, as more events happened shortly afterward. I encountered a smuggler coming from Detroit munitions at Manhattan named Kerberos. He had a small amount of cargo, but enough to warrant stopping him nonetheless. (at this point the No-dock protocol was used) However he immediately tried to flee, resulting in a chase. I was able to catch up to him due to the Liberator's faster cruise speed, but he ditched the cargo to avoid prosecution. I however took guncams before he was able to do so. He refused to pay the fine issued, which was small, so I had to take him in to sugarland. Just before he could dock on Ft. Bush where his ship was to be impounded, he attempted once again to flee down the trade lane to Norfolk shipyard, but he didn't get far. After firing a few shots he was worn down to a flaming chunk of metal that was barely space worthy, and I gave him one more chance to come quietly. His response was to open fire, and I had no choice but to destroy his ship. Evidence: ![]()
RE: One Police Plaza (iRP) (FO) - Shinju - 05-15-2015 ![]() Rank: Recruit Officer Location: Fort Bush Subject: Patrol Hey there? My first and second patrol was kinda silly, but can I complain? First encounter would be near station between FB and Norfolk where I stopped Kishiro train. This one was okayish, however I found Coalition Gunboat near Westpoint and this guy wasn't talklative at all. So I tried to arrest this guy and forces around tried to destroy it as well. Later Lt. Masket joined me and we found some kind of Weapon Dealer in Ontario, however he was clear. Second patrol, near Fort Bush I joined small group of lawfuls, 5th Division officer Webb and officer Darius John. My eyes however caught one Freelancer with strange people on board of his Gunboat class vessel. I asked this Freelancer if he would mind giving me these "tourists" from Barrier Gate. He agreed and I moved them to Fort Bush where others took care of them, not sure what happend afterwards. Next one would be a Hacker bomber in California, I caught it between Riverside and New York gate. This one was kinda weird, yelling at me. So I told him to stop and he refused, so my work wasn't too hard at all. Few minutes afterwards I arrived to Norfolk again where two dealers, Cody and Ms. Green were exchanging some equipment so I made sure they are in safe till they were done. And the last one would be a Rheinland Gunboat with Freelancer papers, Republican transponder and Rheinland Weaponry on board. He said he doesn't know about Liberty and Rheinland conflict so I asked him to go back to his "Vaterland" and to my surprise he agreed. ~Recruit Officer, Phoenix Saris! ![]() RE: One Police Plaza (iRP) (FO) - Maskage - 05-16-2015 ![]() Name: J.D. Masket Rank: Lieutenant Subject: Patrol Report Today was very eventful. I made a quick stop at Sunbucks before starting my patrol, and went down the lane from Adirondack to Manhattan, where the lane had been disrupted. There was a Rogue destroyer, a hacker gunboat, and another bomber there on the lane who proceeded to threaten my life. They seemed to think they had a chance against a liberator? silly pirates. I called in the SWAT team and officer Tanner was the first to respond. 5th fleet and patrolling capitals arrived shortly after as well and the pirate fleet was annihilated swiftly. Minutes later, I picked up ANOTHER rogue destroyer on TLAGSNET in California and we went to investigate. Sure enough there it was in broad daylight. Where do these things even come from? This time however he surrendered and we escorted him to Sugarland. However upon reaching planet houston, two Ageria tagged large trains opened fire on the destroyer causing him to panic and attempt to flee. He got as far as the Bering gate before we took him out. I was able to collect the pods of 20 of his crew as well as his cargo of synthetic marijuana and delivered them and the contraband to huntsville. Afterward we tried to track down those two trains that botched the whole operation. I caught up to one in California but when I ordered him to stop, he fled into Magellan. I managed to hit him with a SNAC from my swat bomber before he got away, but i thought we had lost him. Then him and his friend, as well as a third transport showed up AGAIN in texas, where myself and other officers intercepted them mid cruise near planet Chisos. They had no where to run this time. We explained their crimes and demanded a fine, but they only responded with insults and threats, while one of them fled. All 3 of them had their ships destroyed and they are now serving time on LPI-Sugarland. Their cargo of Whiskey was confiscated and moved to an evidence locker on planet Houston by a 5th fleet bison transport. the docking control protocol was used several times during this patrol, specifically when the trains in question were within range of planet Houston and ignoring all communication from us. It has proven extremely effective, and previously "mute" transports are being forced to speak up.
