"Re: Liberty Rogues"

Commodore,

I apologize for not reporting this turn of events to you sooner; however, I did not expect the Rogues to turn against Overwatch, as well.

Three months ago, I ordered a strike against the Auxesian Revenant. This strike was carried out by Order operatives Empress and Devaraja, members of a reconnaissance unit operating in and around Liberty at the time. The strike was a partial success, removing Revenant from the picture for a considerable time.

However, it appears that the Rogues are in some way allied with the Technocracy - or at least their boss, Hemlocke, appears to be close to Revenant. Learning of the attempt on Revenant's life, Hemlocke went after the operatives responsible. While retaliatory actions against the operatives were ineffective, the Rogues' grudge seems to be slow to wear off. Just yesterday, a Section 8 operative was engaged and their ship badly damaged in an unprovoked attack.

It is regrettable that the Liberty Rogues would choose to side with our enemies - and thus against humanity. However, I doubt that their interference should be of any significant concern to Order operations in the region. If necessary, play the Xeno Alliance against them. They have proven quite effective in keeping the pirate rabble at bay.

Hawkins, signing off.

Re: Liberty Rogues aggression

Lack of important information that would cost our agents lives is a fatal flaw and should be resolved. We should have known Rogues are tied to Technocracy long before an incident.
Though, the task remains:

⧫ Infiltrate into Liberty Rogues ranks.
But now I want to know what exactly links those parties. International and inter-faction close relations usually don't bother me, but we know Auxo is tied to the Nomads, and preventive measures are needed to keep Nomads and infectees away from Liberty and other Houses.
Besides, it might explain why Rogues missed incoming cruiser Twilight from Omicron Nu which was about to cause the Fort Bush disaster.

Hawkins, Empress and Devaraja are men under your authority and I would ask you to establish a connection between them and my agent Meteor who is operating in Ontario. Sharing information is important, they might know something we don't know yet and vice versa.

"Re: Liberty Rogues"

Commodore,

You misunderstood. Empress and Devaraja are not under Section 8's authority. They belong to a separate unit that happened to be active in the same A.O. at the time. Recon Unit Vigil, I believe. An odd coincidence, considering Section 8 assets also use Vigil- callsigns, but otherwise unrelated.

We will leave dealing with the Rogues to Overwatch for the time being.

Hawkins, out.

Transfer request

Esteemed members of the Order Overwatch Command,

I am sending this transfer request to the Wedjat Division in light of recent developments within the Republic of Liberty and the Tau sector. It is my belief that my experience in commandeering civilian and military craft, as well as organizing small-scale operations within the Sirius sector will be of use to strenghten the ability of the Wedjat Division to collect information on the latest changes occuring within our zone of interest.

I also wish to request the permission to commandeer the research ship Yarikh, stationed at Planet Akabat, for the purpose of organizing missions in line with the Wedjat's reconnaissance and intelligence gathering standards.

For the time being, I will be on Cairo Station. Should it be required, I will relocate to Planet Akabat.

Over and out.

Regards,
Commander John Graham

Intel concerning recent events

Guten tag, dear colleagues,

After emerging conflicts caused by skeptical aggression led by artificial intelligence, they left us curious about the reasonings for their deeds that suppress many parts of the bizarre mystery. Needless to say, this kind of philosophy is somewhat anticipated from indecisive robots, taking into account that their practices vary on a daily basis. The very will to ignite further confrontations, especially with us, is absolutely not deemed a waste of resources. In this fashion, they demonstrate a kind of evident brutality whose motives are presumably of great value. On the occasion of such actions, together with Agent Hi-4, I determined to start a thorough patrol in the Kappa sector, longing for answers to our investigations. We have found some intel relevant to the queries.

We have started a patrol route from Delta to the Kappa sector in search of answers. Upon arrival at our rendezvous point, we located the earlier observed presence of Battleship Mars, whose frontage signifies a convincing charge against target groups. As things stand at the moment, we cannot express with pure certainty who the victim might be. Still, the hypothesis suggests they will seek to presumably eliminate the AI presence within the system considering their absence of authority, given their previous raids on Core assets. As it stands now, Corsairs would be a great fish to catch, as Core cannot pose any threat to the Corsairs, particularly under their noticeable imperfections. At the same time, the Hispanics have an exceptionally substantial influence on the issue of power in Kappa. Therefore, the weighing power is in favor of the Corsairs.

Next on the list is the recognition of the threat posed by the AI, whose main refuge is on the Planet Gammu, paranoidly encircled by a loose minefield, whose power should certainly not be undervalued. It was imperative to keep a certain distance from the perimeter. Thus, we conducted our approach in a passive manner, adapting to the existing conditions. We have not been able to monitor any activity in the immediate vicinity of the Gammu. It was not our objective to linger and thus expose ourselves to the nearest danger that could befall us. For this reason, we continued our approach toward the sector where we had recognized DTR activity. Not far from where we had glimpsed their whereabouts, we spotted the earlier pinpointed Corsair vessel.

According to the story of our Hispanic friends, together, we verified the threats posed to us by the groups earlier mentioned. They thus documented similar dealings with artificial intelligence, whose ships had disrupted the flow of Corsair ships. They seemed more or less familiar with Core's augmented presence in the system itself, and they didn't appear to be troubled in any way, which was no less coherent. However, during our dialogue, they located the existence of a "carrier" in the hands of the so-called Auxesia, nearby Planet Gammu. This made me somewhat pleased that we maintained our distance and simultaneously enraged as we failed to identify and eradicate their pilots. Heaven knows what Auxesia is plotting with its affairs, comprehending their profound connections with the Nomads and AI. Such doings are envisioned to be transferred to the rest of the vicious robots, which will make things increasingly complex. Hence, it's acknowledged they're rehearsing all kinds of terrorism. But I would rather die than see them laugh in their disgusting ambitions.

Transfer request & Command Assingment

I bid you a good day esteemed HC,

I am hereby requesting a transfer to the Science Division since, based on my own beliefs, I will be there more useful as a man of science and solid facts. Not that I haven't enjoyed adventures and discoveries as a field agent, especially with my education, but it's time to leave the frontlines to younger and more hardened agents than me.

It has come to my attention that OCV Ma'at is currently without its CO. I would like to request it as my own station for more dangerous ventures into the unknown. I'm well aware that it won't be capable as a mobile lab as Corvos are, but its extensive arrays are more useful for field research, not to mention the added benefit of better defenses and Jump Drive capability. There will be some scientific modifications required, but nothing we couldn't handle.

I will be awaiting your reply.

Yours sincerely,
Commandant Havelock Grumman, PhD.

Intel concerning OMINOR

Guten tag colleagues,

At the initiative of the Admiral behind OCV Horus, who emphasized concluding adjustments for the undertaking in O-Minor, the Black Fleet selected a substantial fleet of fearsome warships to secure strategically advantageous positions within the system. Agents took proactive measures and surveilled the system to ensure the operation's progress. They have secured quadrants surrounding the Delta-5 sector, ranging from O-Mu Jump Hole to the decimated alien gate at Foxtrot-4, starting with Thebes. The overall purpose of the overwatch was to safeguard critical routes and regions in the event of unforeseen occasions that would compel a withdrawal. Regardless, long-range detectors identified a significant Nomad presence, which appeared in numerous waves with increasing difficulty. The identified warforms directly corresponded to the depiction of the codename LEAVIATHAN, presumed to possess exceptionally destructive attributes.

When will our tasks ever go unseen? The very thought of safety without a bullet fired seems futile, especially in Omicrons, where thousands of drops of blood are shed for a piece of vacuum. Minor, a system encircled by roughly a million dead who were slaughtered because they stood up for the truth that many disagreed with. Once agents appeared at this holy place, they were remarkably discreet, predicting phantoms to torment every soul who fantasized about the former centre point of all procedures. Initially met with the screaming silence of Toledo, detectors discerned an impending danger from the depths of the dense nebula that suppresses many mysteries. Those purple blobs rushed toward us as they emerged from the closely packed nebula on their own.

The Black Fleet ripped them apart in no time as powerful weaponry cast high-energy laser beams that predicted enemy patterns. We have long adapted to such analogous strategies that continuously deliver warforms in waves in order to deplete the sufferers. They fell lifeless on the rambling asteroids and the surface of the fiery planet while some disintegrated into purple pieces of blob onto our hulls. Agents acted persistent, like some kind of war machine that sweeps everything up front, reminiscent of the victims of the previous destruction. As the flames engulfed us, we received a significant reading from afar that we had never seen before. However, a battle group stood in front of the bogey. Scanners acknowledged the acquired signal as codename LEVIATHAN, alongside its keepers. Beams shattered some of our ships, while others repeatedly struck the intruder.

The more we fought, the more it seemed like there would be no end to the firefight. We spotted an LSF vessel for a split second, observing the periodic outbursts of firepower that overwhelmed everyone in the vicinity. After the fall of the incredibly powerful warform, the foreign agent vanished, presumably towards Liberty to report the investigation. We did, however, uncover the presence of a so-called codename ENTITY, which disappeared during our observation. The company of codename ENTITY is believed to be the cause of these activities. The battlegroup sustained minimal losses due to solid organization, departing for additional directives and repairs to further safeguard the sector. Following the revelation of intensified enemy activity in O-Minor, the Order has significantly expanded the number of stealth patrols intended to scrutinize and command further actions toward triumph.

Opening message...

Greetings everyone,

Yesterday, we came under attack from a sizeable Nomad fleet, directed by once again; Entity. It seemed like it was trying to reenact the Fall of Toledo, but we managed to fight off the squids, with considerable effort. Most alarming was the appearance of a new kind of Ish'tar-class with weaponry unlike any I have seen before. Check the attachments for data on the combat, aswell as scans of the smaller nomads, and this new Ish'tar class. Our camera was too damaged to gain any proper footage of Entity itself after the battle was over. Hopefully someone else will be able to fill in those blanks.

With kind regards,

Einar Lundgren

A strange Nomad

Yesterday I had joined a task force comprised of Zoner and Order ships, as well as a Corsair repair ship. Our goal was to thin out Nomad numbers deep within the Nomad-occupied worlds. Unfortunately, my ship was disabled by the sheer number of Nomad ships that were deployed against us, and my guncam was completely destroyed. I was only able to retrieve one shot of the situation before we went underway.

More interestingly however, when we were gathering in Omicron Zeta, our forces had encountered a Nomad ship, but it was not just any Nomad ship. This one was not aggressive which was strange enough on its own - it made no attempts to attack us. She called herself "Kara". I can't remember everything it communicated to us, but essentially, it's saying that it's lost, alone and "abandoned". If I take its words at face value, it sounds like it doesn't have the capability to communicate with the hive. It seemed curious more than anything, asking strange questions about humans. This Nomad also mentioned "betrayers", but I'm not sure what it's referring to.

I suggest approaching with caution, but there may be potential in utilizing this Nomad to help us gather intelligence.
