RE: Star Citizen - Jonathan_Archer_nx01 - 11-21-2012 Mysterious private investors that will influence the game, pay to win transactions, still no planetary gameplay after 6 million reached and lots of other disappointing new...things have been getting a bit meh from my point of view of late. Plus I don't like the way RSI have been treating people with their "give us more more more more more kthxbai oh wait still don't have enuff pledge more more more" attitude. What they pulled of with the Bengal class carrier (telling people that they'd be able to operate if the campaign reaches 1 extra million, only to announce that there'd only be two Bengal class carriers in the whole universe long after the 5.5 mil goal was reached) was nothing short of a scam. Almost made me feel guilty for pledging. Also don't like the ridiculous amount of fanboys that Star Citizen has attracted. I've seen a lot of hate towards other space sims for no reason from them lately. Looking forward to X:Rebirth more and hoping Elite angerous will make it.
RE: Star Citizen - Loken - 11-21-2012 You people (as proven time and time again) will complain about anything. The game looks great. RE: Star Citizen - massdriver - 11-21-2012 oh I smell yoba game in future, just a personal opinion. Also I dont think that SC devs will give way to make some sort of current flhook SDK to extend game features as it will violate crytek's engine agreement. There are a lot of potential problems that might pop up without strict rules like we have here on Disco. CR said somewhere that this isn't a business, that he just wants to make his dream game. But because of these mysterious private investors, microtransactions and other signs, I just don't believe it to be true. I think it's primarily the usual "making rich richer" thing. RE: Star Citizen - Treewyrm - 11-21-2012 @massdriver: I'm positively sure you haven't seen the terms of whatever agreement they have with crytek, so right now you're merely speculating. We'll see how things are going to be. @Jonathan_Archer_nx01: Heard about bengals, although it ain't clear as some people make it be, original message was vague and subject to interpretation. Personally ain't concerned - you'll be able to fly those all you want on a private server. Necessary evils, though how much evil they really are depends on actual implementation. Considering amount of content and its quality you will need good funds, making SC ain't the level of bedroom/basement hobby. Its disco, we q_q about everything under the sun. And then we complain about the sun. "No planetary gameplay" *cough* You did see the demo on the spaceport? http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/5-4-million-spaceport-test-footage/ gg. no srs. RE: Star Citizen - Silmathien - 12-05-2012 I thought Chris Roberts mentioned a release in year 2014? ^^ RE: Star Citizen - Blackstarr - 12-05-2012 I think Ill wait for a Discovery Star Citizen server to pop up then Ill join in
RE: Star Citizen - Aingar - 12-05-2012 About 2 Bengals per Universe part, I'm pretty sure it was more along the lines of "2 Bengals per instance" as in battle, to prevent server-killing cap fights, we've all been there, base sieges and things. RE: Star Citizen - Xenosaga - 12-08-2012 Are battles really instanced, meaning no pass-by stranger can participate like on Disco? That would suck tbh |
