Regardless, we can do without. H-Fuel will undoubtedly sell for dirt on the miners. I would totally RP a Gas Miner sucking in H3.
Looking foward to the economy changes.
Also, if anyone has Mk-8 Fighter armors, Thrusters, Shields, and such, we will need an armory.
And is anyone writing anything for status and history? I'll start on it if no one is.

Hey, SevereTrinity, Kurile isn't a Kishiro base. It's Samura. That's what I thought.
The Stinger and IMG Gunboat are sold on Kurile, which is irritating because the GMG doesn't like Samura, and two of our ships are on their base...
Also, the Viper Mk II is sold near Rheinland space. Ugh...

I really wouldnt use the IMG gunboat to be honest. While the two groups mine different things, they exist on opposite sides of sirius and any time they do meet it's probably in a competetive manner.
All of your gunboats for now should be kusari explorers. In 4.85 you can switch up to Zoner Gunboats if you want - the zoner GB's have much less firepower than other gunboat class ships, but apparently have more armor and a lot of cargo space (making them like mk2 versions of the armored transport) - which would be perfect for a trader/military hybrid faction.

I concur with Tenacity. Kusari Explorers are the way to go.
Onto the Stinger, don't worry about the sell location. Even if Samura is a little hostile to the GMG because of them picking Kishiro instead of them, but there shouldn't be open hostility. Even out of a roleplay standard, what you do during setup is different from everyday roleplay, and after setup you never have to dock there. It'll be alright if you dock there once to get your ship.

Also, when it comes to ship sale location: don't bother about it at all. Most of the ships in Discovery are in OORP sale locations anyways, so it doesn't matter one bit where they sell it. The GMG Taiidan HF is sold on a Rheinland battleship in Munich. Did that stop me docking on it to buy it? No. Will I get sanctioned for that? No.

As for the IMG, the Vipers are shared as well, and they very well could be an ally. Otherwise, guess who our only ally is? Kishiro. Do we see many Kishiro players around?
No we don't. With a partnership with the IMG we would actually have active players within the alliance, otherwise, I think it would get quite lonely.
The reason I'm not all for the Explorer being our defender of choice, is that it's just that. An Explorer, built for expansion and research. True, it does have 6 foward firing gunboat turret mounts, but it's anything from a combat vessel in RP. That's why I hope we can have friends within the IMG in RP, and as such they would have built an exclusive defense force in the IMG Gunboats Clotho, Lachesis, and the Atropos.
Maybe that won't do, but I like the idea of an alliance with the IMG a lot, and I hope it can come to fruition.
As for the Zoner GBs, thats an interesting idea as well, since they are makeshift trade vessels as well. All in time, we'll see.
Also, I've got Orin's Viper created, and just got the GMG IFF and ID. For reference:
The GMG ID is only sold on the Aomori, no where else.
If anyone has a Convoy set up, we could make a run.:P

GMG also has Zoners as an ally which is very handy.
Zoners themselves have only two allies GMG and Order and no ememies.
It gives us many allied bases to stop at.

I'm thinking waiting for the Zoner GBs may be better, but here's my reasoning as to the IMG ones:
We need allies. We have the Zoners, but they are neutral to most everyone. RP allies? Yes, very good to RP with. Combat allies? Not a chance, Zoners don't help kill.
The IMG? We share friendlies. The Zoners, for one, and also Kishiro, who like the IMG. Now, the Outcasts are mortal enemies with the IMG, and also the CF. If we had these alliances, we would have a powerful force to call our allies. Also, the IMG building us a defence force of IMG GBs makes more sense than the Zoners giving us more firepower, allies or not.
I still don't think the Explorers should be used for defense. If they were, I'd suggest the Moirae Gunboat defense force would be varied, with one Explorer (Clotho, the spinner), one Zoner GB (Lachesis, the measurer), and one IMG GB (Atropos, the ender).
Thoughts please. And I want RP reasoning for anything against this, and not just: Zoner GBs fit better. Please.

So far as I've read the RP reasoning is that the faction info card says Kishiro and Zoners are GMG's allies with Hogosha, Outcasts, Corsairs, Rheinland Military, Rheinland Federal Police, and Kruger Minerals as Enemies.
An alliance between IMG and GMG hasn't happened yet. It sounds like something that needs to be RP'd and with a story developed with it. Which would be an interesting direction. But there is a need to get this faction off the floor and starting things off with requests in the Special RP Character thread may hinder the effort.
As I understand Char with a faction ID may use their own ships and equip as well as those of their allies. A request posted for approval would be required for otherwise.
I do believe a faction description will be made soon, I've uploaded the load of Screenies on Skype and a "Board" (not actually sure the term that will be used) will be in place for voting on GMG policy. As you can see I have several not sures as we are still pooling.
The new update should be out soon and will give enlightenment to all for new RP angles, for now we have some time to develop our chars personalities and catch phrases etc..

And Prowler has gotten together ingame SS for use in the faction status (SS of Rumours etc.)
