Engaged SA, SF and Fear in California. AW Luciaden was present, so I think a more detailed report is not necessary. I pursued and engaged Firebird after the gate to Magellan. Second battle was at Villard station against Koolmo. Luciaden said to cruise but I dont read it, and was outnumbered by Koolmo and two Fear guys. Apparently the Fear pilots were in gunboats, but I dont have sure. Koolmo was using a fighter. I damaged Koolmo one time (ooc: killed once) and then retreated. They called a battleship. Third battle was near the gate to Magellan, we managed to escape after luring their battleship to behind the gate. They dont crossed to Magellan. The San Diego border station was damaged by the fight, my readings got 35% of damage in their structure.

Re: Assault on California

This is Admiral Erinyes of the Caedo. We made an assault on Planet Los Angeles with an allied HellFire gunboat. This was because the LNS-Redbear had entered Megellan obviously to attempt farther attacks on Vespucci. Upon entering the Freeport 4 area, the Redbear immediately attacked Captain Denelo's gunboat. The Caedo arrived only seconds after the shooting began and proceeded to annihilate the frigate. Though the frigate attempted to run, our countermeasures prohibited it from doing so until the ship was near destruction. (1)

We chased it back to the California side of the Megellan - California jump gate. It had been repaired, or replaced by the time we got there, and once again opened fire on us, targeting the Caedo first this time.
After only a brief battle, we drove the ship off once again, it flaming from dozens of places across the hull. (2)

After repairing our small damage, we assaulted Planet Los Angeles, and once again found the Redbear. However this time it did not escape, and the half-destroyed ship was later towed to a shipyard, its crew having jettisoned into space to avoid its death. (3) This last time, the Redbear was assisted by an LSF cruiser, a corsair Huntress. Why the Liberty Navy is using such a vessel is unknown to me. After we laid the death blow to the Redbear, we engaged the cruiser, which had been fighting Denelo's ship. We ran it off, twice. (1, 2) Then finally destroyed the vessel above the planet. (3)

We began the bombing of military targets across the planet, succeeding in reducing two factories, and a training complex to rubble, as well as damaging three other complexes. This was done by Captain Denelo's ship, as the Caedo neutralized the Battleship Yukon. Soon we were reinforced by an Hf fighter, Cesare. Not too long afterward, we saw an SF fighter and a FEAR gunboat on our scanners. After being ordered to leave or die, the fighter took off and docked the planet, while the gunboat moved around the Caedo and stopped two kilometers away. The Caedo went after it, lowering its shield in one volley, and accomplishing some hull damage before the gunboat took off again. (Read: shield ran)

It went after the HF gunboat, as the fighter came from the planet and also attacked the gunboat. We fought the gunboat off approximately 4 times from shooting the HF gunboat. (Read: he shield ran 4 times more)

We got occasional hull hits on the cowardly ship, but it used its repairing bots to heal it. During the fight, the enemy was reinforced by another SF fighter, an SA fighter, and a FEAR fighter. We were reinforced by only an HF fighter. We damaged an SF fighter piloted by Admiral Firebird, who took off to Planet Los Angeles for repairs. (1) The gunboat had been severely damaged however and had to flee back to Mactan for repairs. (1) The 4 fighters and the gunboat turned their guns on the Caedo which in return, damaged the fighters. The number of ships, however, proved to be too much for the shield to handle. The shield was nearly depleted when the HF fighter arrived, piloted by Cesare Lorry. With his assistance, our shield slowly regenerated as he fought off the gunboat twice more (read: shield ran.. twice more) and fought the fighters off their strafing runs. Cesare Lorry was able to damage a fighter, piloted by Koolmo, who quickly took off. (1) However, the FEAR gunboat had returned once again after recharging its shield, and delivered massive damage to the fighter, which was forced to retreat to Mactan for repairs. (1) The Caedo dropped the enemy gunboat's shield quickly and hit it with all four battlerazors, damaging its hull. The gunboat took off towards Planet Los Angeles with barely any hull left. Denelo then returned and we began to once again fight the fighters off. Cesare returned soon after Denelo, and we damaged Koolmo's light fighter again. (2) Then the FEAR gunboat showed again (had docked and gotten nano bots from Planet Los Angeles) and the Caedo focused its fire on it, damaging it, but not before it severely damaged Cesare's fighter, forcing him to retreat. (2) Again we drove off the gunboat and fought the fighters. During this engagement, we had also driven off the FEAR's Wrath, Sonnel, who followed the other's lead of running. Approximately 4 times. (Read: shield ran 4 times)

The FEAR gunboat had returned yet again (yet another shield run) and took out Denelo's gunboat with help from two fighters. (2) The gunboat and fighters began to make runs on the Caedo, so we retreated towards the Megellan Jump Gate, met halfway by Cesare again. We fought, and Cesare took out Koolmo's fighter, forcing him to eject into space. But soon after that point, the SF battleship York exited the trade lane right next to us. The Caedo and York started a slugging match, causing alot of damage to both sides. However, Cesare's fighter was destroyed, forcing him to eject. The odds had changed from 5 to 2, to 6 to 1. There was no way to match the firepower of six different ships, so the Caedo retreated to the Megellan Jump Gate. Soon after retreated, Firebird somehow damaged his own fighter, forcing him to land and repair again. (2, suicided somehow.. Planet maybe..) Again Denelo aided in fighting off the fighters, at the jump gate, along with Cesare who was forced to eject during the retreat. (3) Though we did not destroye or severely damage any of the fighters, we also kept our own damage to a minimum. The York then arrived, and again attempted to attack the Caedo, this time from behind. We took off in the direction of Willard Station. We were met by Lieutenant F_Wolf, and we proceeded to defeat the ships that had followed us. Reinforced again by a fighter, we started to damage the enemy, who was missing their battleship due to the asteroid field. Unfortunately the FEAR gunboat was moving about strangely, making it unable to target him. (Read: was lagging horribly bad and unable to shoot, but didn't leave battle, just stayed) The HF GB was destroyed, its crew jettisoning. (3) The York then reappeared and opened fire on the Caedo. Again facing 5 to 2 odds, I retreated and lead the York and the SA fighter flown by Osorojo away, as Lt. F_Wolf faced three fighters on his own, destroying one. The Caedo eluded pursuit, and left the battle. Luciaden arrived in his fighter at that point. He gave us a debriefing of the incident;

He started out near Planet Majove, then heading to Planet Los Angeles, where he spotted a FEAR gunboat, SF fighter piloted by Firebird, and the SFBS-York. He lured Firebird into follow him to San Diego and the Megellan jump gate, where they fought, soon to be joined by Lt. F_Wolf. They did severe hill damage to his fighter before the York showed and launched consistent missiles at them. They retreated to Megellan and took off to Freeport 4.

We request that Commander Alarien head to California earlier than planned, as we are in need of a ship that can cripple a capital ship without damaging the Caedo in the process.

Admiral Erinyes, Captain of the Caedo

Subject: Ultradrive Tests

After we received the spare parts thanks to the tulkas, we activated the Ultradrive and headed for Freeport 9, our home. Here, we can see a black box recording of the journey back:

The voyage back

But unfortunately, disaster hit us during the second test between our home and Malta. The Ultradrive engine had a catastrophic failure. I had to order the ship to be evacuated while we were on Ultra speed. The escape pods ended scattered through a volume of almost 1 cubic light year, but we all managed to survive. Shortly after, the Iluvatar exploded.

Here, we can see the recording taken by the black box recorder. Note that the first seconds of flight were merged with the last seconds as the recording in the middle of it was unrecoverable.

The Iluvatar explodes

Testing will be suspended until the reason for this disaster is discovered.

The Iluvatar shall be rebuilt. And it will be outfitted with a new and more powerful setup than ever before. The Bomber and Fighter wings were saved. They left for Freeport 9 when we arrived, right before the second test.

The AW 80th, HF & Bs were involved in a strike against stratigic targets in California, 2 Frigates, 2 Fighters and an Unknown LSF capital ship, our fleet consisted of 2 Fighters, 2 Bombers, 1Battleship. We retreated after facing severe resistance. Though we took out the Unknown LSF ship, both fighters, and severely damaged the Frigates. Though we lost 1 fighter, and both bombers and sustained heavy damage to our Battleship. I was the last fighter to escape, a Kusari Gunboat unexpectidly jumped into California and our baddly damaged fleet couldn't retreat.

>=OoC=< The "unknown LSF craft" was actually a Corsair Huntress... isn't there something a little messed up..? Also this Huntress had an unusal ramming fettish, especally for Battleships, in the middle of a fight..

Anyway: First battlereport, sorry if its a little uninformative..>=End of OoC=<

Re: Attack of Cambridge

Sir, we were conducting our usual sweep of California, much devoid of SA, perhaps they abandoned the system? We caught word of a corsair gunboat fighting the SF in Cambridge. Then our scouts in Omicron Gamma reported one of the SF's frigates, Exeter, leave the system towards Omega-41. Almost certain its destination was Cambridge to quell the Corsair threat, I took my bomber to Cambridge. Arrival seconds after the frigate found the Corsair gunboat and attacked it. The both of us together inflicted massive structural damage to the Exeter and it retreated into cruiser twice until its shield was full again. Nevertheless we attacked it within the star corona, and had it almost killed when it took off again to Battleship Norfolk. Met there by an SF Fighter named Zepphos. The Corsair took on the fighter, which took on me, as I took on the Exeter, who was shooting the Corsair. Finally I got fed up with the fighter shooting me, and shoved a mine down its throat. The fighter exploded spectacularly, and I was unable to find if the pilot had escaped the fighter, hopefully not.

However, right then I was hit by a missile, losing my weaponry. After that the GB was no match for Exeter, however the Exeter had lost all repairing capabilities (NBs) as well as its shield regenerators (SBs) and was half down in hull. We lost nothing but some spare weaponry which I was able to get replacements of back at America.

The suspected damage to Exeter was around the cost of 120 million dollars.

End of report.

Comm ID: SiN Tech Public Relations, Director Adam Kruzman

Dear Sirs and/or Madams,

The SiN Tech Corporation is thoroughly distressed at your continued attacks on House military and police targets. Our close proximity with your group, while before has been nothing but mutually beneficial, may land unwanted negativity upon the SiN Tech image. Miss Sinclaire' is surprised none of the House factions have yet to take up on this link, or even dragoon our ships into service. Given our position, the military aspect of the Houses certainly has the power to do so. Furthermore, some nasty rumors from the Zoners is saying that they may require you to disassociate with them as well. The Zoners have no desire to get involved with anything, much less your personal vendetta, so their current unhappiness is easily explained.

It is at this time that we must issue an ultimatum; break off your attacks within the next month, or SiN Tech will have to withdraw our alliance status. Should the Houses begin to demand our assistance, SiN Tech will break ties immediately although it is more then likely you will find our forces dragooned into service against you despite that.

Please think about this, examine your actions. What will you do when your dubious allies begin to strike civilian populations and trade ships?

With all respect and formality,
Adam Kruzman, Director of Public Relations - SiN Tech Corporation

We will not break off our attacks on the SF. We will not harbor any ill-feelings towards SiN|Tech for breaking our alliance to prevent hostilities with SF and SA. But this war will not end until the SF and SA agree to our terms. We are here to force the SF back out of this war and leave the HF and SA to fight each other, alone.

Our acts are not of terrorism, but purely militaristic in nature. We will not attack any civilians.

Re: Battle of Cambridge

This is Captain Neratin of the Denicalus, reporting from Cambridge. We, along with two Corsair gunboats, the Tulkas, and an HF fighter, attacked the SF. Very quickly the SF brought in battleships, both the Magnificent and Sierra, with the Frigate Exeter, two of their Beta squadron bombers, a Templar fighter, and 2 gunboats, the FireAnt and Longbow.

After a long battle, we came out victorious, destroying all their vessels, whilst only having damage done to our fighter, and one of our gunboats.

We will continue to attack the SF's home system, at their heart, and bring this war back to their doorstep. The SF has had peace in cambridge since we began our attacks on California. Now that we have moved more ships to this sector, we can fight a 2-front war. Hopefully this will minimize the ships the SF can send to California to defend the SA.

Captain Neratin out.

Re: Battle of California

This is Admiral Erinyes. I have good news from California. Once again we have crushed the SF and SA. The enemies brought in a total of four battleships throughout the engagement. The York, Sierra, Valhalla, and Hawaii. Also, the gunboats of FEAR, and the SA's Columbia. A Beta squadron bomber from SF, the Redbear, an SA fighter, and an LSF cruiser.. A Huntress, who knows why they have it. An SF gunboat, King's Lynn, and an sso| fighter.

We had the Caedo, and later the Denicalus, the HF gunboat, captained by Denelo. An HF bomber, fighter, and the frigate, Zuikaku. A Bs| fighter, a Bs| cruiser, a gunboat, named Prospector. F_Wolf in his fighter, and two Corsair gunboats.

Extremely outnumbered and at a loss of firepower compared, we used strategy to make up for this, and coordinated our efforts. We were able to cripple their fleet with significantly less in losses. The Caedo was forced to retreat to avoid obtaining damage that would force us into a repair dock. The Denicalus took our place as it arrived from Cambridge, and aided our remaining forces in taking out the SA's three battleships and the Redbear.

We will remain here in California and direct the efforts between pirate groups and our allies to continue to demolish the SA.

Estimated enemy losses are around 1.2 billion credits.

Estimated friendly losses are around 500 million credits.

Admiral Erinyes out.
