Dear all,

I am writing to you from Gallia, have looked over the budgets for the space station here and we still owe GMS around 0.45B credits. As you all know most of those funds come from the OS&C itself and not from ONE, I have however been able to free up around 150M credits because ONE paid GMS directly with our own funds.
This means that ONE needs to take 150M less from OS&C proper for the construction of the station.

I am available to take the Boundless Pleasure and get the passengers home, if we are able to negotiate some sort of release of the passengers. I am however a person who values profits, and I think the Junkers should be happy with getting 150M for the passengers on board ANOTHER company's vessel! Plus as far as I am concerned they can keep the Martinique themselves. The cost of flying it back to Rhineland, plus finding another scrapyard which is available to scrap the vessel on this short notice. At this point, I estimate it the scrapping would cost us money rather than a wee profit.

Greetings friends,

By now you've likely seen the official press release on the fate of the Martinique. The ransom had been officially negotiated down to 100 million and had been paid in full. The ship was supposed to be transferred in New Berlin orbit at 20:00 today. But nothing ever goes according to plan.

The IFF of the vessel was all wrong and the captain was complaining about illness among the passengers. A scan of the vessel revealed alien artifacts that the captain couldn't account for. It was enough to make me think the vessel was infested. Two Order agents were in the area. Officially, they would rather not have their involvement in the incident publicly known, I wanted all of OS&C to know that when we destroyed the Martinique, it was because we were sure that we were adverting a worse crisis on New Berlin. I didn't destroy the vessel out of an abundance of caution. I destroyed it on the advice of experts who have seen infestations before.

I also want to make it clear that though I was joined by the Cloud-9, I was the one who opened fire on the liner. Her destruction is my responsibility and I stand by that decision. I leave it up to the board to decide how that responsibility must manifest going forward. Until then, I want to make sure every liner captain knows why I did what I did.
Had it been the Breezewood instead of the Martinique, I would hope that all of our pilots would put their duty to humanity as a whole above any loyalty to the company or to myself.

Orbital should have stuck with a plan that didn't involve being responsible death of any kind in any way, and now to have these deaths fall squarely on us, it is close to unacceptable. Those same paying customers, Mr. Seabourne, that we have now told across the entire sector we will willingly kill on the word of two "experts". Which we have now privately come to find out were Order agents, this is the same Order Terrorist Organization banned in Liberty.

as someone who was also Present and Open Fire on the Liner, I can assure you this decision was not an easy one and we had Strong Evidence that the Liner was under Alien Controle Evidence we saw even Before the "Experts" Arrived first of all let me Start with the IFF of the Ship the Transponder sent Nearly the same Signals as those of 2 Ships Subdirector Cross encountered in Kusari some time Ago Ships that were without a Doubt of Alien Origin scans showed that these Vessels where Organic/Machine Hybrids do you know anything other than Nomads and ther Infected Lapdogs that use Organic Tech but that was not all the Evidence we had there where some Strange Artifacts on Bord the Capitan said he doesn't know of and even after I told him the area it must have ben Located they were Unable to find it. the Capitan Claimed several Times his Passenger wher Badly Wounded and the Liner at the Brink of Destruction but my Scanns couldn't Confirm this for me this Looked like some Desperate Attempt to Spread the Infected to other Ships they even Invited the Director on Board what he Refused and the Last Evidence we had for the Infestation came after the Ship Crashed itself in the Atmosphere of New Berlin than there were no Standard Escape Pods in the Atmosphere instead there wher Military Grade Drop Pods. Pods that if they would be able to Land on the Planet Spreaded an Infection on a World of Billions in a Time of Turmoil and Instability this would be the Perfect Seedbed for another Infected Government of Rheinland and we all Know how this Worked Last Time I include you the Evidence I Gathered and the Comm Logs so you can see for yourself and from one Capitan to another to Open Fire on that Liner was the Hardest thing I ever do and I Pray for the Souls that have ben Lost but if I would be in the Same Situation I would do it again

Attention Orbital Personnel,

While the Martinique situation is still fresh on our minds I do have some positive news on bulking up our SEC Escort Ships.
The Core Has Approved our request. While there was some discussion about naming conventions for our heavy escort vessels for the moment I have opted to have the vessel names standardized until our own personnel have time to flight test and become familiar with both models. So will little fanfare I am pleased to announce the delivery of OS&C|SEC-Echo.1 and OS&C|SEC-Echo.2 to our mooring point in Cortez for rapid deployment.

All Orbital Personnel, SEC Captains among them, are encouraged to fly both versions of these gunboats and report in either on this frequency or directly via D.I.S.C.O.R.D. interlink on their likes, dislikes, and general use of the vessels. There are many variables to consider, from armor, firepower, and range, but we cannot also forget the all important Passenger Perception. Not only do our passengers need to be safe while on our cruises, they need to also feel safe.

I met up with Breezewood in Rheinland as we headed North via Liberty to Shikoku. It was an uneventful trip, a welcome change from the last few days. We picked up some passengers on the Golden Dragon who wanted to take the scenic route to the Shetland. Cruising through Kusari space so no incidents, save for an escort offered by [KNF]Ik.K.Hayashimura and [KNF]Ni.Mitsue.Ohru. It's good to see the Naval Forces out in... force. Apparently too much action on the fringe systems with the GC and dragons left not as many patrols as they would have liked for the main routes. We had a plesant formation through to the gate to the Taus.

I was afraid of running into Enclave forces in the Taus, but that particular disappointment had to wait until I made it to the Cambridge gate in New London. There, I came across Captain Cross in the Red Velvet Club along with a gunboat being accosted by an Enclave pilot. I imagine she'll give a more thorough report on his demands as I had trouble following what this "Jean-Jacques.Rousseau" had to say. I found his demands as difficult to cipher out as I found his namesake's philosophy to read. Fortunately for him, we all managed to leave the encounter with no shots fired.

I did run into an Imperial shipper on the other side of the gate, ISS-Klagenfurt. I warned him about Rousseau and he offered his condolences on the Martinique. Time will tell how the rest of Rheinland responds.

today the Velvet was on a Shuttle Duty from Planet Spraque to Curacao. when we wher Greeted by a Member of the Enclave after we Jumped into the New London System. the Pilot identified himself as Jean-Jacques.Rousseau. he was well I thought he was nice at first but as always with the Enclave I was wrong. he Offered a Tour to the Bordeaux System and said that there would be more Tourists Needed. as I had already some Paying Guest that booked my ship for a Flight to Curacao, I declined his offer. I noticed afterward that he offered me a Tripp to an Enclave Controlled System. in the Meantime, an Armed Forces Gunboat arrived and so I had Backup. my declining of his Offer was not accepted by the Enclave Pilot, he was even trying to force me to come with him. but as the Velvet is Highly Armored and he hadn't Torpedos on Board. I had no doubt that I Could defend my Ship and its Passengers, that don't want to go with him either. so I refused his offer Several Times. if the Enclave should really Opening itself to Tourism what I Highly Doubt, then we should maybe think about it. but I have no hope and no Desire for such an Opening in the Future. for me all this sounded like a Trapp, to get a Liner they can than Collect a Ransom for. and I will never let my self be a Hostage, so I fight to the end if necessary to protect my Crew and my Passengers. at the end Director Seabourne arrived and the Pilot saw that he had no chance against the Velvet, and the Armed Forces Gunboat. so we all Parted ways. as always I include the Communication in the Attachment.

Greetings friends,

Had a most interesting encounter in New York today. it started friendly enough with shooting the breeze in Manhattan orbit with LPI-Marcus.White[O] and DCI-Max.Brannigan[SC]. The latter is part of the police's anti-contraband efforts and I was pleased to see that he was well versed in all of Breezewood's myriad licenses. However, H|-SNS-Discovery showed up to crash the party along with a Rogue cruiser, the [R]-Rainbow.of.Liberty. LPI and the fleet deployed their toys (Allenwood and Argonaute) and the Rogues brought in their own numbers. Breezewood took the opportunity to slip past the distracted fleet on to Pennsylvania to drop off some passengers from Hawaii.

On the return trip, we ran into a Rogue in the Badlands named LR-Agressive.Slurper. He was holding up an IC vessel (the Richmond) for its Liberty Ale. I took pity on the pilot and insisted on paying my toll out of Breezewood's more exotic fare. He took rum, sake, and cigars before we left on cordial terms. Before we hit the tradelane, he asked "Is it true that sake is so refined you'd feel like one of 'em ancient kings or somethin'?" I told him truthfully that I've never cared for the stuff, but I'm pleased that Breezewood could help expand his palate beyond the cheap stuff we stock to keep the socialites happy.

We ended the day by taking a batch of said socialites to Curacao. Those young ladies have far more wealth than taste, heaven forgive me for catering to them.

Directors,

Per our conversations on the D.I.S.C.O.R.D. interlink I have assigned our resident alcoholic Liquor Expert, Jim Hammond of the Tierra del Fuego to begin building the Community Culture Cruise Information Page.

I do believe however he will require further clarification on the exact process and form this race is to represent. Personally I'm thinking we should advertise it as a "rally" style.

As you all are aware a rally race consists of a set start and end point. Each racer is allowed to take their own personal lap with the fastest time winning. In this scenario, with the first leg of course being Cortez to New York we would break our racers into divisions, Fighters, and Freighters. The first circuit would be leaving Planet Curacao to Planet Manhattan, stopping of course to buy a load of famous Liberty Ale, and back to Curacao.

This would enable us to have one of our own personnel verifying the stopover on Manhattan as well as one timing at the start/finish line. Additionally, by breaking down the the Cruises into various legs (Liberty, Bretiona, Rheinland, Kusari, Gallia, and others). We will be able to have several booze cruises marketing events which will draw eyes and credits into Orbitals coffers continually over many months.

Winners of each stage of course would receive a prize per division, with a grand prize for overall wins.

If this format is acceptable I'll have Jim draw up finalized plans for the First Stage: Liberty Circuit for review by the board.
