Let me correct you there Nataly; I am the one that would need to extend favours to House Gallia since I requested permissions on behalf of Starfliers as a whole. Maybe they remember me talking to them, so I can assist and be your wing-buddy if you want me there.
Fore leftovers of the Velorum - I am not sure of McKenzie had anything recovered after that ship ended inside Inverness. With the Junkers being right there I could see them maybe having acquired one or two scrap parts of it, so Invergordon may be worth a try if Rocky does not have anything stashed away somewhere on the Freeport or a hidden corner of the Sol.

And if Hell breaks loose we can just try to send a communication towards the general fabricator public, seeing who is willing to take our contract. Perhaps we might get a good deal or a contact worth reaching out to for more than one time. *a shrug follows towards the communication device*

The Velorum's wreckage continues to drift out into the distance of the Inverness System. The Xenos took it out with haste, I only ever saw glimpses from our Research Complex as we initiated lockdown procedures during the invasion.

We have had little time to superficially inspect the ship during the aftermath of the fighting. From our brief scans, two of four docking bays remain salvageable. The remainder of the installed equipment being damaged beyond repair. Seems the Xenos knew exactly where to hit the ship to cause a reactor overload. Most primary and secondary systems were fried, with little leftover to remove and reuse.

The Sol doesn't have any room to install any more. You may use the two bays, they will need to be recovered from the wreckage. This means obtaining another two from a dealer elsewhere.

As a few of you might have noticed; McKenzie has decided to open a hangar for public docking. Personnel is instructed to not let unaffiliated people roam on the Sol, they are to stay within the hangar to conclude their business.
The reason for this decision is to offer parts of our research samples to be acquired by outsiders. We won't ask much for those samples but we cannot hand them out for free.

In that sense keep an eye out fellow Starfliers.

What a fascinating planet Venus is. It is very fitting a vessel such as our own is named after a planet as interesting as Venus.

What else I find fascinating, is the fact that Starlight Research Consortium exists. Not under their former glory, but as remnants operating under a different name - the Pathfinders. Flying the Venus out to Omicron Delta, in preparation for any future expeditions out in that cluster, I bumped into the Darkhorse. Flintlocke was the one in charge, and they informed me that Starlight is effectively gone, with a splinter surviving under a different handle. From what Flintlocke told me, they are specializing in the gathering of data. This intrigued me, enough so to request Halpert to fly out to Delta to take a journey into Omicron Pi and find out more about a field of mines Flintlocke told me about.

Perhaps this re-ignited partnership may lead somewhere, or it may not. Hard to say at this stage without more information. What I can state for certain is that Omicron Pi is not a sector we know a lot about, and I am willing to ignore our restricted systems list this one time to see if there's any stellar bodies worth following up on. Flintlocke tells me Dr. Morningstar will meet us in Delta, I am familiar with them from Starlight's better days. It will be good to see how they interact with us after so many years. We have changed and improved significantly since our last communication.

Thanks to Halpert's charting of the Tau-23 system, we have safely and securely arrived at the Anomaly Site. A few of our ships had difficulties flying through the asteroid field, enough so to damage the cargo they were carrying. The important equipment stayed installed on the Sol, but we find ourselves setting up with less what we left Inverness with.

A few of us are tasked with rebuilding our storage containers. An easier choice as our research facilities were improved and altered based on years of experience and personal preferences. Rebuilding every detail is not something I would like the team to do. So instead we rebuild the storage units as the schematic is simple.

Once we have restored functionality to all components of the Sol, our fleet will be fully operational to begin surveying the nearby star systems. Our research teams are already in awe with the nearby Anomaly Site. Perhaps the teams in Ikarus Station can assist us. I'll inform Halpert to get in touch while I work on some post-arrival administrative tasks.

I've told Hal what to keep track of. He is to use either the Regents or the Argentum to assist with the deployment of Sol's systems.
I will keep track of the progress as well, reach out if anything slips under the table.

Outside of that I've gone through all old files that I have access to; We're licensed to the Languedoc Gate but the Orkney Tunnel might be needed in case of unlawful presence.
I will schedule a charting of that system that we are able to use it in times of need.
