I would like to discuss the fate of 3 "Hel" class cruisers, acquired from the Unioners as part of a deal made almost 4 years ago. After arriving at Syros, they went un-used due to the constant warfare in the system, before being moved to Rhodes Shipyard upon our evacuation of that system. These 3 ships have been left in development hell, their modernization packages being pushed back due to more modern projects taking precedent. It is in this sorry state that these vessels remain as of sending this message, however we seem to have a sudden need for additional vessels after losing so many in defense of Omicron Theta, and refurbishing the aforementioned Hels will prove much quicker and more simple then constructing new "Praefect" class warships.

As such I would like to suggest we push forward the modernization packages for the "Sturmvogell", "Raufbold", and "Fledschlange" and deploy them to the front in Cambridge. Of course these ships have not yet been properly integrated into our more modern systems or weaponry due to their prolonged neglect. As such if we want to get these ships up to a proper caliber, we may want to modernize the Fire-Control systems, put a few of the Damage Control Systems through testing to ensure they are still effective, and re-fit the ships with newer weapons. It will take effort, however making these additions to our arsenal will surely bolster our numbers for future operations against our various foes.
