Please read the whole thread (I hope you did) before telling me I am ignoring criticism.
I explained why I am no longer accepting criticism for the project as a whole many many times.
I do not however do an in-depth explanation of the 'majority wins in a vote' principle, but I assume everyone gets that.
I don't mean to seem rude, but thats the end of this discussion.
I am not here to please everyone unless everyone decides to be pleased, I'm here to please the majority and, if possible, myself at the same time.

Please note; I'm still taking visual clues on the Liberator. Act now and get your input in! :D

Ok, here is an attempt to use the original Patriot wing styling, but impart a more 'bird feathers' look to it.

(this design seems more 'sensible' since it adds protection to the engine housing from the sides and above)

If you don't want to fly it, so be it. The rest of the community doesn't have a problem with it, so they're all voting to go ahead with the project. In this entire topic, I've only seen 2 or 3 people who had a problem with the new designs and once the were tweaked even more, they began to like it a bit better. Still, 2 or 3 people is not enough to change the mind of one person who has the backing of many more community members behind him.

As for the new Liberator...back wings could use some texture tweaking and the side wings seem kind of unnecessary to me, but it seems pretty good! Like I said, all I would suggest changing would be the wings.

Right, the wings are our bane. :crazy: The body/cockpit are more or less cemented.

I'm just toying with different ways to place wings/what type of wings... It''ll work out eventually. I just have to find the right stylistic leaning...

In other news, to try and alleviate some of the shipwrights block I'm having, I took the suggestion of 'fins' on the 'Nephy' with a grain of salt, and a little help from the real-world F4-Phantom.

This is what resulted;

Note to those who only give it a quick glance; fins are not the only change. I did not just 'stick stuff on' but you will have to look closely to see all the changes.;)

Hmmmm...not bad...front and top views look good, but when I look at it from the side...something's off. I think the top wing is doing something that I don't really like. When reavengitair said the thing about the 3 mini-wings, I think he meant something like this:

Yes, I know, it's a very crude drawing.:PBasically, the black lines are the original Nephthys shape while the red lines are the mini-wings.

Well mini-wings like that run the risk of looking like a Bastet copy. Still, its a valid idea and might be worth exploring. :)

In any case, I doctored the 'balance' of the top fin, is that any better for the profile shape?

Hmmmm, try posting the original Nephthys model for a comparison. The first wing dsign looked better by the way. It's weird though...there's something about it that irks me and I can't quite figure out what it is...

Ok, so I broke out the 'failed' Liberator prototype that spawned the cop-car jokes.
I tweaked it here and there, (its not finished though, note the lack of logo on the starboard side)

For the new Nephthys, is there anyway to make the top wing like it is in the original?

As for the Liberator...well, let's see what the rest of the community says. I'm partial to all the Liberator designs.
