The Black Sails - SamuWarcraft - 12-27-2009
From the last experiences i got to say most of the members can only RP like this "Outcast scums die" or things like this.
On other hand i have to congrat Grimly he manages to save the RP of the entire group by himself.
Anyway you guys have proven to be a challenge in the last raids, as for piracy i never interacted with you.

Really. Last raid I remember how I was trying to sell artefacts to outcasts. Talking with them for about 20 minutes. Oh but agian they didn't wanted to talk and started shooting.
Oh and lets forget the risking typing while in combat, I bet I risk to be snac'ed just to show how cool I am, right?
Oh and 3 from 4 raids... oc's attacked corsairs first D: so here goes the rp down.
You see the problem is that after RoS gone there is rarely with who to rp. And most of the offers or any lines are not repsonded properly or responded poorly, and I really are not willing to talk to a wall for very long. Well 101st comes. But mostly the fights is already started then.
And meh never say "die" :unsure: strange to see this. Really. Perhaps I'll start screening each raid ant place in the feedback. Folks, you think this might help?

Artifacts are not allowed in Outcast space... but probably you dont know our rules, so you have an excuse on this :sleep:
And i mantain my idea, most of Sails have a lot to learn with Grimly.

:lol: that was a joke my character come up with to anoy outcasts. But no-one responded properly. No-one wanted to have a talk. Just gathered to teh docking ring. After a littile teasing they went like "egnaging" or something. Then others jumped Vilkas is in trouble. Yeah right D: been it bigger problems before.
And then jumps to fighting.
Hmm you know. Ever tried to talk to a wall? .. Same result. Or wait, briliant rp part "petty cannibals" D:
Unimaginative. So there is not so easy to develop dialoge Cruz. Becouse it shouldbe dialoge not monologe.

Yes i just wonder how some of Sails, few can actually do it, and the rest just cant RP...:mellow:

Reading this thread, I really can't help to feel offended by many members of the community. Perhaps the comments that bother me the most are the ones stating essentially (Paraphrased) "Sails can't RP worth crap, except for maybe one member or two." I would like to think I have done a good job by the number of people who reply via private comm in-game to thank me for good or interesting role play during our interactions. But honestly this thread just demoralizes me.
I joined OPG when it was around to improve my RP skills. The way I pirate which is the way that was taught to me from experienced OPG players who also happen to be very good members of the community who are respected for their roleplaying skills. I have tried to pass on that method and style to newer members. If the way I have been doing things is wrong or lacking roleplay or just unliked then please complain to me directly. If you have a problem with the way a member of a faction did something specifically, then why not confront them directly rather than criticizing them (to be fair sometimes it is simply insulting them) under a guise of anonymity.
But this is a feedback thread last I checked? Criticism is expected. Alright, now that we have been criticized for various things, can we have suggestions on how to improve ourselves as a faction? Apart from the general problems regarding our faction's ZOI, ship and weapon uses, and history the majority of the comments have been regarding our conduct in combat engagement and pirating.
Alright then, what would people prefer us do when we pirate?
And how would you like us to conduct our raids and other engagements?
Describe your favorite pirate archetype and we'll try to emulate it as best we can.
Just berating us with negativity does not help us improve ourselves. How do you teach your kid to drive? You tell them what they should do and how to correct what they are doing wrong.

And regrading piracy i dont know what to say, but a lot of people appears to be complaining about it...
Regarding raids, it would be a good idea do not over ganks us, you know. Example: you see that there only 6 pliots in Malta, 2 of them are Caps, you do not bring 10 or 15 fighters to Malta and say you guys are the champions of Sirius, serisously there is not a big honor shouting victory in the sistem chat when the numbers are so unbalaced, but i guess from what i have seen you guys consider an honor 8 fighters beat 3 like two days ago...
Anyway, i liked you feedback, this is the way.

Aside from the attacking of Zoners and breaking NFZ (Politically bad move but whatever) you guys are great to interact with and I have nothing to complain about. Really everyone complaining about your piracy should realize there are far more evil pirates out their. Seriously they're are... I'm one of them :P
P.S. How come a band of pirates are the only ones using escorts?

I've encounted your people twice.
Once when I was afriad of a Hessian blowing me up so I asked Vega to escort me to Gran Canaria from Theta and on my return I brought food to Crete from GC. I paid him and we RP'd for a bit even after we parted.
Second time time I wasn't actually part of yalls RP just a mere bystandered that was creeping in the shadows. I watched and overheard (read in system chat) Black Sails and HAF go at it. I was unsure why but lingered to collect intel. From a bystandered standpoint, it was fun and made the trade run intresting.

Kudos to you guys, Espi (I hope it's well spelled) you kept a fair fight against the MM in gamma. That's something that doesn't happen everyday. Well, some indies didn't listen at the begining (indies and another faction) but you did great guys.
