The Bear's Cave - Freeport 14, Yukon - Dratai - 04-09-2011 The short.. thing, shook a scaled, clawed, and partially burnt-looking hand with Ibrahim. Reaching him to about the chest, if you counted the lush, unorganized hair atop the freak's head. If it wasn't so unnatural, it could probably be likened to "cute". But when your smile is full of razor teeth, that kind of disappears, too. "Drai. Don't worry about the name, my name was only made to let people call me something. It's not exactly common to be an intentional 'accident', after all. Unless you'd want to call me a bunch of numbers following the word 'subject' or 'code'. Yesss?" He then glanced around quizically. "I would like not to stick around for too long. It's.. *cough, hack..* A bit dangerous, honestly. Not just for me." The Bear's Cave - Freeport 14, Yukon - nunchakus - 04-09-2011 After hearing the man's words Ibrahim chuckled a bit "Oh trust me Drai, I've seen more dangerous things during my early days in the transport department, no offence meant. Ah, but that is a story for another time, if we are to meet again." "Now lets get to business, come have a seat" gestured Malikk. "Now I heard you're into the exploring business right? Thing is, I wanted to get some pictures of the exotic places around Sirius which I will travel later on in my free time. As you can see I am pretty much tied up with my work here so thats where you come in." He later clears his throat, "Before we go on the details let me ask, are you interested with the task?". The Bear's Cave - Freeport 14, Yukon - Dratai - 04-09-2011 "Pictures, huh? I can try, was there anything in particular you were looking for? Exotic is what space is in general, friend." Drai replied, resting onto his elbows and bringing his fingertips together in a stereothypically business-like gesture, after taking his seat. "I should hope you haven't. The most dangerous thing is an animal with the ability to carry an -intelligent- grudge" The Bear's Cave - Freeport 14, Yukon - nunchakus - 04-09-2011 Malikk hesitated for a moment,"Well, I'll keep that in that mind". As the atmosphere calms down a bit, he continues, "Right now I have 3 systems in mind; Edinburgh, Munich and Baffin". He takes a sip of his coffee. "Here's the additional details that I will require" and he hands Drai a datapad with the task specifics. Edinburgh: Pictures of Planet Gaia and other places of interest. Munich: Ausburg Orbital Colony and its surroundings. Baffin: All places of interests that's not considered restricted areas for the TAZ. "I trust you are capable for this? How does 25,000,000 credits in payment sound to you?" asked Malikk as he finishes his cup of coffee. The Bear's Cave - Freeport 14, Yukon - Dratai - 04-09-2011 After a quick clearing of the sinuses, and pretending he's not phased by the amount. He nods, pocketing the data in a small computer, watching a bit as the screen seems to do a bit of planning all on its own. "Ya' I think that can be arranged- will this be all? It may take a bit of time, though. Especially with Baffin, it's not exactly an open place. But I have a line with the TAZ on potential places I am allowed to survey. Especially if it's only a couple of pictures" He murmured, he wasn't used to dealing in amounts larger than a mill or two, it made him a little giddy, to be honest. "I trust you shall remain here, for some time?" The Bear's Cave - Freeport 14, Yukon - nunchakus - 04-09-2011 Seeing Drai's reaction to his offer Malikk draws a faint smile, "Ah excellent then, be sure to stock up on supplies before you go though. Space is a dangerous place, especially when you're unprepared". "And yes, I'll be here until next month. Lots of paperwork to finish up", muttered Malikk. "In any case, once you're done you'll know where to find me". With that Malikk stood up and starts walking out of the bar, "Oh and help yourself to any drink you fancy, the tabs on me". // Leave me the charname to where I should /givecash to later The Bear's Cave - Freeport 14, Yukon - Dratai - 04-10-2011 "Excellent. I will take care of it as soon as possible... And thanks but no thanks, I don't drink.. and I have to fix a broken engine." He murmured, he wasn't used to dealing in amounts larger than a mill or two, it made him a little giddy, to be honest. "Goodbye, for now" //The_Flourish should be the right charname. But I'm struggling getting back online due to antivirus issues that vista makes with connecting. So it might take a little while. I'll do it as quick as I can, though The Bear's Cave - Freeport 14, Yukon - Malaclypse 666 - 04-18-2011 A man in a soiled hooded robe approached the bar.. "A case of Grayface Ale to go, please? "Put it on Shestov's tab. He owes me. Just tell him 'couch'." Shouldering the heavy case, the man looked furtively about and shambled towards the exit. The Bear's Cave - Freeport 14, Yukon - Dancing Bears - 04-18-2011 Lev was sitting up in the office having a smoke and doing some of the never ending array of paperwork that came his way since he had opened the Cave. One form after another, orders and refills and damn insurance and rent. These were not the kind of things Lev got into this business for. In the midst of Lev's procrastination, one of the bartenders called up to him on the intercom. "Hey Lev, some tall guy just walked in grabbed a case of Greyface, told us to put it on your tab and then walked out.... oh yea, he said couch or something like that." Lev was flabbergasted...."Couch?" Lev was up and down the stairs in a flash, running toward the front door. As he hit the promenade he looked left and right for the man he know would be tall and wearing robes.... nothing. Walking back into the Cave, Lev went behind the bar and pulled up the video monitor that is fed from the cameras. Reviewing the playback, Lev's bartenders on heard one thing from Lev. "Son of a Bitch! No Way!" Without another word, Lev headed back up to his office. The Bear's Cave - Freeport 14, Yukon - Dancing Bears - 04-22-2011 Lev was opening up when the station master came by, the stern man quickly explained that one Reggie Waverly had paid the lease on the Cave for the next year. The news was pretty damn good, Lev thought to himself. Wasn't really that the rent was all that high, but Lev was one of those kinda folk who like to set things up, not much on running them though. With all this loot, Lev was starting to get it in his head to hire someone to actually run the place. Lev hadn't been out and about it quite a while, and he was the type with the itch to travel, this was probably the longest he had been in one place for years. Lev went back to sweeping as he mulled over the different possibilities, and then the thought of where the Old Man had got to crept into his mind............. |
