Battlefield 3 - Loken - 10-04-2011 The client side hitbox thing is in Bad Company 2 and Medal of Honor 2010 as well. I doubt they will remove it this time around. Battlefield 3 - Valinor - 10-04-2011 Doesn't really matter, it's a way bigger decision they made. To change it, they have to work on everything again, i hardly believe they would change it. It's not about rocks or any other glitch in game, The fact there have been 34k preorders cancelled should also be a clear warning to the EA that most of players are here first to play Battlefield, which means tanks, which means jeeps, helicopters, planes. Surely keeping the map with vehicles open for just 3 days and password protected (even if the community managed to find it) wasn't the best thing to do either. To all of that, people were actually waiting Battlefield 3. While it's enough obvious that the game is more inspired from Bad Company 2 than Battlefield 2. About the whole hitbox mess, i suggest people with beta accounts to read this topic: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/forum...51139106544694/ For everyone else, this video should do it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGaP5wTYLtQ Battlefield 3 - Loken - 10-04-2011 ' Wrote:there have been 34k preorders cancelledThat surprises me. Maybe I just have a worse opinion of EA and DICE than most people, but Battlefield 3 is significantly better than I was expecting. I really wasn't expecting a lot though. It'll still be better than Modern Warfare 3. Which will just be a console port version of Call of Duty 4 with insignificantly better graphics. The problem is that the vast majority of the market (~90%) are console gamers, and what console gamers like is Call of Duty. Battlefield 3 - Kreuzritter - 10-05-2011 BF3 possibly hitting Steam Good ol Frank mentioned it on skype so I read up a bit. Looks like there could be a way to bypass Origin after all. Now people can choose what they deem the lesser evil :3 Battlefield 3 - BaconSoda - 10-05-2011 To be honest, I think the biggest problem most people have is the squad system and the fact that Dice has been completely silent about it. I'd guess 30k out of those 34k preorders have been cancelled because of the Beta squad system. I'm considering it as well. What would help is if EA would just tell us the intention of how squads are supposed to work in this new game: whether Battlelog has some missing functions or whether an overlay will be in the game or whatever. Right now the squad system is totally retarded. I can't play with my friends this way and this is why I played Battlefield. I shouldn't have to fight the game to play with my friends. It's terrible. Anyway, looking forward to hearing the promised "Clarification" from Dice because right now I am very dismayed. Battlefield 3 - Zahas - 10-05-2011 I saw somewhere that you can make private squads on the retail version, anyone got any other info on this? Battlefield 3 - Dashiell - 10-05-2011 Thank god I don't have any friends or I'd have to cancel my pre order. Because the current squad system sucks so much balls it makes you wonder just why they are even in the game at all. Battlefield 3 - Bauer - 10-06-2011 It's been confirmed that squad management will be in the final version. This is also interesting. Battlefield 3 - BaconSoda - 10-06-2011 Crisis averted.:) Battlefield 3 - Dashiell - 10-06-2011 Great, now I can form squads with my non-excistant friends. Also, is it me or do you drop dead way faster than in BF BC2? |
