RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - Aazalot - 05-07-2013

Voncloud was sipping his wine when the cane flew past them, hitting the frenchmen in the head, causing him to choke on his wine in laughter, the fox hitting his chest to help it go down. He splutters as he recovers, watching him get up from the smack to the face.
With a few small coughs he manages to recompose himself and reply to Achillie as they are joined.

"Survivalism is always paramount, thats what it always boils down to, we are all doing what we can to survive, one way or another. You may be right, soon enough the idea of the Gallic threat may be nothing then a faint whisper in history, but id rather look back and think, we at least prepared, rather then not have this summit, the Gallics invade and think back 'boy, wish we had some sort of preperation meeting'. Id rather be prepared, and not need it, then need it and not be prepared.
And Gallia? I'm sure it does care for its people, but a state that refused to open peaceful talks, in all honesty, makes me wonder why.
*he looks to the screen*
This Prince..he may not represent the navy, but i bet you, hes well respected within the military, and any example he shows, will be followed, And, im well aware we haven't gone to the aid of the other houses, this is why i say, they will abandon us if and when an invasion occurs, its why we must relie upon ourselves.

As you say, the picture is to vast for us, but what parts of the picture we do have, we must use to keep ourselves safe, and thats the main objective here

RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - Doc Holliday - 05-07-2013

Doc continued to stand in the back ground with Rackham as they both seemed to be watching and listening more than anything. Doc made his point with the camera shots. He didn't hate the Royals nor did he want a fight with them but he would be damned if he would let them run him over and everything that Malaclypse had built before him.

"That is why I put them up, John," he said to Rackham quietly, "to prove a point. Sit and wait, old friend, sit and wait."

RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - Joggin - 05-08-2013

Rackham, once again leaning against a nearby pillar, felt a kind of calm deja vu about aspects of the meeting.....He nodded toward the general melee in reflection....

"Ya know, Doc... My read is that we kind a' have the usual thing here.... A mixed bag of well meaning Zoners trying to sort things out for the best and other sharper outfits and individuals scratching for the best angle....Not much different from the CoZ really.

Some of this is petty and we can ignore it, but yeah, let's gather the reaction to your cam shots. The topic that can't be ignored, like you suggest,..... I'm watching."

*Docking Sounds* "Fu!, now that I'm back again perhaps I can finaly enjoy my vacation, quickly heading to the zenarch to see everyone, the doors open and everyone is looking at me, all the sudden a man in the corner rings on my shoulder and says " Where have you been, we have questions that need to be answered!"
*Lee quickly pulls his 500D tablet and plugs it to the projector**
Shot1

"Lee explained, Omicron-74, that bright new tomorrow was and still invaded daily by creatures who do not value human life and who will go on to abuse it and destroy us all, a stand must be taken to ensure our survival." Lee knows that most zoner members at the zenarch reject violence, but he neglected to add"If you don't believe in violence, you must believe in responding to it in kind".
"Lee turns his head towards Lecriox, he patched him in the back and said " Mr.Lacroix, we have no intention of blocking our homes, rest assured that zoners can and will always be able to pass freeley, Omicron-74 is our jewel, a jewel to all of us and it is essential that we keep it safe, hence the Idea of "Kappa defence station" and the new established "Zoner Alliance Comm Station". "Lacroix" is stroking his mustache, probably thinking about this and how to respond"

RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - Enkidu - 05-08-2013

Achille’s characteristic smile returned to his features; “Well honestly I can’t argue with that!” Achille responded, noticing Robert’s somewhat bizarre approach in the corner of his vision. “Indeed, that’s why I myself am here; to witness the formation of this noble unity and to be a part in it if my...” God what is that idiot doing now? He winced; seeing Robert’s hat yet again descending from his skull as though it was somehow magnetized to the floor; “... esteemed leader requires it to be so, but doesn’t it even mildly alarm you Voncloud that some of these...” Don’t call them idiots “...Respectable personages - all patrons of justice I am sure - appear to hold greater interest in starting a fracas than actually avoiding one? After all, why show this...” Achille gestured at the video logs which had the entire room in their thrall; “...Provocative “evidence” if not to trigger a protracted war? I’m sure everyone in this room would rather forget about the entire DeFrance affair than have it perpetually mashed into their features by every third speaker. Remember, this is old news, entirely blown out proportionality. Why dig up the dead?” Achille grimaced disdainfully, producing a tumbler of Lorraine red from apparently nowhere. “Mind you...” He continued; “I don’t expect anyone will agree with me. They usually don’t”.
Idiots.

RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - Quiron - 05-08-2013

Quiron stood up from his seat and turned to the one who addressed him while listening. “This sounds good Mr. Bergrat, we can have an agreement about that the most important Zoner installations must be defended,” he made a little pause. “But I still have doubts I fear.”

His expression was full of questions. “Can I state that your bases will act hostile to random vessels if they are not on the “guest list”? At least I can conclude this from the transmission your leader sent. What can you tell me about the independent Zoners, who don’t have the appropriate papers yet and can’t fly into – as you said – that jewel? What about the freelancing vessels, traders who wish to aid our cause in the deep Omicrons?” he looked to Parkes showing him as a possible harmed party. “I hope you don’t expect the free trade to find another way through the Corsair’s homeland. What about the Order who are fighting their seemingly hopeless war? You want to make them more problems? But above all, I don’t think your group has the right to decide who can enter into Omicron 74. Nobody has it, to be honest.” he took a sip from his glass. “I am sad that the ZA apparently didn’t learn from the past, behaving like the legislators of an open system, not even take the opportunity to ask the other affected parties.”

“I would like to ask you to answer my and Mr. Parkes concerns, describing the details about the bases, your intention with them and why you are in need of four constructions in the homeland of the Zoners.” Quiron felt that Omicron 74 turned into a simple junk town. “But if this is not a problem for you, please do it in front of the audience.” said while pointing to the stage. “I think we are not the only ones who are interested in this matter.”

RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - n00bl3t - 05-08-2013

Parkes stood up and added his voice once more to reiterate his point, "Mr Bergrat, my main concern is for independent trade vessels that use the corridor to supply Freeport 11."

"If they are cut off, my supplies might not necessarily be cut off, but my cost of living will inflate, and as a result, so will the prices of rare materials sold by us out on the frontier." He finished speaking, now waiting for Bergrat's response.

In his head he wondered why there were four installations now in Omicron 74, as Lacroix had said.

RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - Zen_Mechanics - 05-08-2013

"Lee addresses parkes". Mr parkes, we have no intention of cutting access to Freeport 11 or other zoners, make it independent or not, zoners will always have unlimited access, the flow of goods will be thriving and the system will be much more secured. "Lee nodded toward lacroix" We decided to construct 2 defense stations and two Zoner Alliance outposts, no other plans will be made, "Lee raises his tone " No registration is required, all groups but the aliens are free to pass on and through the system. *Lee confirms* This is official, and will stay as such.

RE: First Baffin Zoner Zummit at The Zenarch, Malaclypse Freeport - n00bl3t - 05-08-2013

Parkes looked confused, but decided to ask anyway, "Aliens? What aliens?"

"And I take it freelancer traders and the like will be able to pass through, not just Zoners?" Parkes asked Begrat for confirmation.

"Lee puts down his drink and addresses parkes once again"You arecorrect dear friend, everyone with the notable exception of the known vicious race called *nomads*.
