Well, as Lythrilux pointed out before me, caps aren't really meant to be anti-bomber actually, snubs are way more competent in snub combat. But still, Flaks are the best against Novas if you are alone, and by my experience they are way more efficient than you described them to be. Or maybe it has just been me...



I understand that caps shouldn't be that much anti-bomber, BUT they shouldn't be as vurnerable as they are right now. But the fact that they can't get away at all and can't do anything else against bombers, still stands. Come on, you have to admit that it's pretty weird if 4 bombers can kill a carrier with CAU 8 with only patience and ( a lot) of torpedos... They hadn't really given a reason to start shooting at us anyway but i guess that's okay.

Caps are op. All of them.

Myself I do very rarely fly caps, and never did any training, and still I can kill stuff so easily. Seeing how easy caps are to fly, and how strong they are at the same time - it's no suprise that so many people fly them.

I'd be for restricting them to official factions and/or make them damn expensive or only to get via SRP request.

Or just leave everything as it is. They're easy to fly and easy to kill - so where's the problem?

I smell your brain fart from over here... First, on the screeny we can see that there was only one bomber/fighter, we can't tell, you were 4 people as far as i can count. You fired 2 missiles at a target that was standing still and probably typing at that moment... Wow... i'm suprised, lol, not.
Second , you yourself said that you are flying caps rarely, why do you then bother to post here? You have no expirience at all, that, you said yourself.
Third, you said caps are op, but later you say, they're easy to kill... lol-ing even harder!
Fourth, CAPS ALREADY ARE EXPENSIVE !!!

Get your facts straight and try again.

I think you're all forgetting a very important demographic that plays on Discovery. People that enjoy popping Capital Ships with their bombers.

Keep Capital Ships free for everyone, that way us bomber players maintain a target rich environment. Smile

Best answer, and probably best solution. But beware! I smell pissed bomber players incoming, that like easy killable caps!
