That's a shame. Get over it. I blow in snubs, because my reaction time is poor. You don't see me whining and moaning because someone beat me. I just fly something else. You should try that, too. Oh wait, that requires putting in time and effort. I've never seen a community so desperate to have everything handed to them on a silver platter in my life. This argument just doesn't happen in other MMOs. I dare you to say something like this about WoW, or BDO, or even TERA. You'll get laughed into the dirt. But here, on Disco? Oh man, we have to cater to every scrub and noob or else they'll leave, oh no! Maybe true aces don't do that but when I see PvPable players relentlessly hunt down new players and annihilate them in few minutes without taking any damage, that's what I mostly despise. It is a shame that no consideration is given and activity just killed off like that. I hate that bounty boards are motivating people to kill off activity. RE: Why is PvP so damn difficult? - Durandal - 09-21-2017 Dear diary. It is 12:45 AM. I have an interview tomorrow, but I decided to check the Discovery forums before heading to sleep. Thread number 153537 continues to defy Peto's Paradox, growing larger and more malignant by the second. I could perform surgery, but it would increase the risk of the tumor metastasizing. Better to let it stay where it is for now rather than excising it and letting it spill over into the rest of the forums. I think. I'm going to bed now. I may have a look at the... Discoma? Forumoma? Before I leave tomorrow, but I'm not sure if I'll have time. It should be interesting to see how this plays out. Durandal, lead art developer and senior balance developer, signing off. RE: Why is PvP so damn difficult? - Achilies - 09-21-2017 Snakthree guy, sorry but even when i fight noobs i just dont fight with everything i have, take it easy and usually get half my hull down before taking someone down and end up teaching the guy how to plug the gaps he has, also usually when i see a noob fighting a more average player i give em tips and he ends up wining ,just saying dont lump me in with the morons who believe themselves superior to god himself RE: Why is PvP so damn difficult? - sasapinjic - 09-21-2017 (09-21-2017, 04:36 AM)Jayce Wrote:1.Quote:With disco aiming system it is all about those natural abilities, so dont trow "get good" argument, you cant "get good" against your own biology. Sure, you dont need to whine, why you wuld whine when you can F1 in space near JH in your police snub metagaming waiting for character named "slave ship" to enter system, then you log-in space 2 k from him, imidietly 1, 2 and open fire 10.5 secunds after log-in in space, then when slave ship manage to dock you call your buddy to give him expres fast sanction and screw his rep couse you but hurt he escape even when you cheet. Sanction apear Day later, and when victim presents evidence of your "3 in" offense it takes 20 days for you to get slap on the hand, and naturally, rep of slave ship has not been restored or sanction changed. If i was so good metagaming/cheater, and had such influence, i have no reason to whine and moan to. 2. In most other MMO, you dont need to train and practice for months to be averege, and YEARS to be really good, in most of them you get that in just a few hours, or few weeks tops to be really good. I play quite a few MMO in which i am really good, even with only few days of playing and bad equipment/weapons/perks/bad gaming equipment (since never pay any real money for in-game advantages, i am alwais at in disantvage). Idea itself to be good in this game you need to practice for years is either insane or forced by ones who had been trained for years, so now naturally, they dont want system in which some newbie can train for few hours and be better than them. Do such veterans really think we dont know that? We know thats it is you that dont alowe changes that will reduce your advantage, and thats why we dont log any more, that whats why there is less and less players in game, those pvp veterans chased newbies and ones that dont whant to train for years. Yes, i hold them most responsible for chasing off players! Yes, i dont want to spend months or more to train in conn just becouse game system is broken and suited to needs and level of few veterans, i will rather play something else, planty of games around. I keep leaching around hoping things will change, blind ones will finally open ays and see they only killing game, that they keep digging his own grawe, and by chasing away people, there will be no one left to be next blue. But hope is now nearly gone, instead to see some improvment, signs of remorse or will to change things, i see only troll remarks, biting response, "bu hu huuu, you bad in pew, tough luck", laughing posts/gifs, and that "i dont give a damn for anyone except me having fun" attitude. Well, be that way a little more, no need to change now, population is in critical now, last year we had 100 players, at beginning of this year we had 70 players at top, now we have 40, so that means you have up to new year when server will have 10 players, give your worst, as you are up till now. Clock is ticking. . . RE: Why is PvP so damn difficult? - Corile - 09-21-2017 Quote:1. Pics or didn't happen. I can reliably say one can become decent in snubs after about 40 hours spent practicing. And you don't even have to do it in conn, there are websites like Aim400kg which help out with that as well. Jayce saw that, brought his LSF to Ellesmere and guarded the 59 hole. Sasa waited at one side of the hole, Jayce on the other. After 45 minutes of stalemate Jayce logged off for a split second, and Sasa jumped. Jayce instantly relogged and caught him at the hole. Sasa then proceeded to run to an LSF base and docked while getting shot by LSF (the base is very close to the hole). Both got sanctioned shortly after. Sasa, you were both at fault there, but if we had to pick who broke more rules or looked like a bigger snowflake, it's you. Sure Jayce "metagamed" you to counter your metagaming with a trader who should never have been using Liberty guard systems inRP to smuggle cardamine or whatever in the first place, let alone docking on LSF bases while getting shot by LSF and then whining on PMs. I don't even know why you're bringing it up, but if you do at least be the one that's less to blame than the other guy. RE: Why is PvP so damn difficult? - sasapinjic - 09-21-2017 EDITED couse Antonio was faster: I mentioned it to show how things are done diferenty to averege Joe and to to somone who is not averege Joe in standards in this comunity. Sanctiones were harder to me, he lost few guns, while i lost money, cargo, Equipment, i was trow to some distant base AND i rep hacked(i was forced to sell ship or to give it away for free, i choose second option) despite fact i was victim ( he break rules first, i was forced to counter to his rule breaking by my rule breaking, i was under impression i was attack by noob). BTW, i Dint log off, i float in space for 45 minutes while i was in forum, even offended admited that. |
