For the past 48 hours, turbulent forces have caused changes in the space around the Omicron systems. A small team was assembled to go around and update our star maps. One worrying discovery in Omicron Theta was a Rheinland battlecruiser "Trier" stationed in a remote lava field nicknamed "Cauca". It did not respond to any hails and immediately opened fire. It appears to be guarding two anomalies, one smaller and yellow in color which emits extreme energies that could tear a ship apart, the other resembles a jumphole and has magnetic and gravimetric readings. This is how the battlecruiser got into the system.

On the other side of the jumphole we emerge into a massive hazard field. Rheilanders call it "the Suhl". It reduces scanner strenght three fold and you must fly a specific path to move in this field. The energies when straying away from this path are so strong it vaporizes any vessel faster than a person can blink. Nomad lifeforms move in this field together with regular rheinland and civilian vessels, most definitely infected.

Exiting the Suhl the team found the wrecks of a space station called "Valhalla" in the middle of the system. The wreck was shrouded in some field and debris that blocks out most light from the two stars. Another find, close to a fiery Gas giant and its only moon there is a jumphole connecting to the Dresden system.

Our expedition concluded in an asteroid field surrounding one of the stars. The fragments appear to come from a planet in the field that had been blown to pieces. There is also some Bundschuh vessels that we managed to tag inside the field, perhaps they have a base hidden deeper inside. The team made is safely back to Omicron Theta and a second expedition is on the way to uncover the rest of what this new system has for us.
