I concur that we, while I l was leading the Gallic Government, that we all agreed to add unofficial, lawfuls or not, in the voting process. We even made contracts forbidding certain actions against the OOC rules. (such as metagaming) It worked well.
This, is the best process we have had. I have doubts over the future. This sentence is an opinion and has no agenda behind it.

The context is Discovery moderator being added to LibGov chat out of the blue and apparently being instantly against LibGov members.

The complete lack of professionalism in his communication aside - your server admins can just chuck him out , that's their decision and more feedback to them - the post approvals and official discord sections are for staff oversight, these "shadow gov" discords that don't actually decide anything binding are now in player hands.

Only mitigating factor is that he doesn't have any actual official capacity there - the shadow gov discord runners have given him a voice they don't have to give.

I know whatever I say has no impact on anything, but, I know I said this was a good thing. But this slowly turned into 1984, with Big Brother watching over things. Keeping an eye on discord chats that isn't official really isn't cool. And being that unprofessional about it isn't either. This is actually really disturbing.

With all intended respect I don't vividly recall the part in the book where O'Brien told Winston to "cope", though maybe the cap changes were saronsen's Room 101

Hah, I don't remember that either. But, having big brother watching over your actions does. Which I am not a fan off.
