After having a nice chat with Captain Evans of the 5th Liberty Naval Fleet I got a hit on my scanners and Evans tagged along. It was a possible ship with illegal weapons and we started the pursuit. We caught up in Hudson right in front of the Jump Gate and proceeded to read him is rights. He decided it was wise to play hard ball and shoot at me. Bad move for him. Evans dealing the damage and I focusing on its shields.

Seems the Order wanted to have a piece of the Chief today also, Some weird designation this one had was odd as well :|R|: I will keep this in our record logs and add on to this weird new Order Organization that presented itself to us. Either way he started off good and turned over a civilian Pilot but it ended with him being shot down. His Escape pod got away, maybe next time he wont be so lucky. I will have my Officers keep an eye out.

Well the Order is back at it again and its the same organization with their weird Identification they are flying, :|R|: and they decided to bring a friend to come take me out. Clearly since im writing this message their attack failed and both Order ships have been snuffed out. This is the second attempt on my life in these last two days since becoming the Chief of Police. I wont back down and I will keep the pressure on high. We will light these fools up until they realize Liberty is not a place for their crimes and operations.

It must be my lucky day or something but there was a Gallic Royal Intel ship making its escape and I managed to intercept and take it down. These Frogs never learn that when in Liberty you stand no chance, especially this one who was already weakened and almost escaped. its why they will never push further then what they already have. The moral of our house will prevail!

-Quite the eventful day, no thanks to this damn Guardian. My ship was freshly constructed on Norfolk Shipyard, I was urged to come pick up said ship, I fear that I may be the victim of a practical joke in that regard, The ship has an incredibly aged transponder and seems to be affecting my log here as well. After a shot trip to Fort Bush I returned to Norfolk to see what the hell was wrong with my ship, however I ran into an unexpected surprise, both good and bad. On one hand I came across our Chief of police, Miss Holiday, and on the other we had stopped a Freelancer with no visible transponder and carrying a large amount of Military admirals and captains. Holiday urged me to assist her in escorting the man "Ergo" to Planet Manhattan to put those men and women on the ground, which we did so with little trouble. Amidst a small conversation with the Chief a trader emerged at Manhatten from the Fort Bush lane, "Albert_Kaun" I'd say he might be the god of Donuts and Sunbucks in disguise for the sheer amount of Donuts and Coffee he brought as a "thank you" gift for keeping the lanes clear, I'm sure that will go a long way for morale. Not long proceeding the gift a 5th| Navy prison liner had appeared for a stop at Manhattan, Though like I mentioned this Guardian has too many problems to count and my gun-cam had stopped working as we gave the liner escort to Sugarland, I was however able to capture us leaving the instillation. Upon our return to Norfolk Shipyard, long range scanners warned of Ion storms approaching, however, despite the warning I caught a strangely identified ship on my split and return to Fort Bush, I decided to hail them for a cargo scan, however this proved fruitless as they began to cruise away immediately upon spotting my ship. I hailed the group I had just split from and Holiday alongside BHG|Hotshot came to my aid in pursuit of the smuggler. We were forced to chase it deep into the badlands before Hotshot finally managed to strike the ship with a Cruise Disruptor missile, with Ion storms rolling in I didn't take time to ask questions and shot down the ship immediately. I can imagine Holiday will chew my head off later for that. I returned to Fort Bush shortly after the encounter and here I am, making this... Agonizingly long report, god I hope they aren't all like this. Recruit Officer "Dawn" signing off.-

-I met the Deputy and Chief outside Manhattan, just some idle banter, got the boss some Donuts, WITH SPRINKLES, as highly specified. The lanes picked up a Lane Hacker moving through Texas, then once in New York a second had joined them, we decided to make our way to Norfolk, as we arrived we saw them fleeing into the Badlands. I made a questionable decision to use that old Jump Anomaly into the Badlands that we were advised to never use under any circumstance and flew through that incredibly dark field to cut them off, however it was not needed, the other officers were already in a fire fight with the Lane Hackers. Emerging from the cloud I joined the fray, apparently the 5th officer had gone down relatively quickly. The battle was... vicious to say the least, They had a hard on for Holiday majority of the fight, I envy her skill. It wasn't long before they realized they couldn't kill her, and switched to me. I struggled to aim well enough to bring them down but landed a few key mines. Towards the end of the fight I was forced to flee while Holiday continued a one on one fight with the final Hacker. I had successfully evaded the destruction of my ship, but it angered me that I had left the battle and left Holiday behind so in a foolish display I re-entered the battle, baiting the hacker back toward the lane as Holiday kept on that Hacker's ass. Holding on for dear life I managed to drop a few mines that killed that Hacker. We didn't stay long afterward with how badly damaged my ship was. Holiday told me to report to her office on One Police Plaza when I finished with this report. I'll be heading to Colorado shortly to meet with her.-

-While on patrol, upon entering the California system I came across a passenger liner transporting VIPs, noticing he was without escort I offered my services, we had brief conversations at the New York and California gate respectively with relative silence through the rest of New York and through Texas. Feels abit weird having access to official channels again. Hopefully I haven't forgotten my formal ettiqute when it comes to writing these damn things. Ah well here goes nothing.
I started off my patrol from Pittsburgh and headed straight for Fort Bush to get the old girl looked over by the Department's techs. Seems like they weren't too impressed with me turning up in a Liberator that hasn't been vetted by "trusted vendors" in seven years. Despite my assurances she was space worthy they didn't seem to buy it. I guess being back on the books again means your local Pittsburgh ship mechanic just won't cut it anymore. After visiting Fort Bush I decided to check out the Colorado gate to make sure everything was quiet. As I approached the gate I caught sight of a Pirate if the ident of 'Sycorax' hovering near the gate surrounded by a field of scrap and debris, which I surmised were the remains of his latest victim. I attempted to pursue but ion storms hit and knocked out my sensors allowing the bastard to escape, so he still remains at large.
After I managed to get my ship's systems back online, I set a course back to Fort Bush to get the all clear. After getting the go-ahead I resumed my route past Norfolk and Westpoint. Thats when the Network picked up a Smuggler heading out to New York from the California system. The vessel in question turned out to be a Z-8550 transport by the name of 'Malveridas', which after a quick cross check of the permit database seemed to be registered. What I didn't count on was the Captain of the vessel to be a right stubborn pain in the ass. After stopping him at the California gate I was able to get a look at what had triggered the alert. It turned out to be a small consignment of Counterfit Software hidden amongst crates of Toxic Waste. What I figured would be a simple cargo interdiction turned out to be a chase across one and a half systems. It took the intervention of the LNS-Antietam of the Fifth Fleet who was moored nearby for the Transport Captain to stop and finally drop the cargo. Unfortunately his stubborness still continued in his refusal to pay fines. He and his crew are currently aboard the Antietam inbound to Fort Bush for processing.
One less headache I have to deal with in anycase.
