Project; "CopyCatsB-Gone" - frozen - 08-24-2009 ' Wrote:Nobody flies the MK I versions once they are set up. So these models keep the vanilla atmosphere of the game. Replacing them with kitbashes (no offence) destroys the atmosphere for me. ive got to agree, really. i prefer leaving the mk 2 models as they are, since most of them are the reason i fly(flew) them. for example, the wraith. i absolutely adore that ship. if someone was to replace it with a kitbash, id be pissed off and scrap the char, since the reason i flew the ship is gone. Project; "CopyCatsB-Gone" - elgeeko - 08-24-2009 Ok, the Werewolf is here. Again, subtlety does the trick with this one. Besides, how much can backwater pirates really advance? ![]() Doing these as one composite shot now. Takes so much less space.... again don't mind the funny shadows. Still on it with the Liberator/New Hf (now taking name suggestions NO! not 'paveway' :P ) But I needed a break in the form of some other style. My own name suggestions for the LPI HF; Emancipator, Interdictor, Warden Project; "CopyCatsB-Gone" - Klaw117 - 08-24-2009 Hmmm, not bad. I'd like to see a bit more difference between them, but if it's supposed to be subtle, then I say stick with this. Project; "CopyCatsB-Gone" - elgeeko - 08-24-2009 In this particular case it is supposed to be on the more subtle end of the spectrum for sure. As with all pirate ships, you can only improve them so much without House-sized funding ;) Unless anyone has found anything I omitted from the todo list, then I may be able to finish the modeling phase by tomorrow. Ill do a comb-through of improvement, post an album of shots, remove all the old shots, then proceed to hardpointing and ingame testing. Ill keep putting periodic updates and pictures in this thread. Probably one or two ingame shots per ship. tomorrow; "Waiter! theres a Wyrm in my soup!" "Phantoms?! THE Phantoms?" "No Rheinland Phantoms" "WORSE!!!" "The knights' TEMPLAR!!!" stay tuned ;) Project; "CopyCatsB-Gone" - Violette - 08-24-2009 I like the Vanilla ships, need more random ships to use, several different VHF per house or summit, edit those... Project; "CopyCatsB-Gone" - Shagohad - 08-25-2009 That werewolf is beast. Makes me want to buy....yes, you guessed it....five. Shagohad: He buys five of what he likes. Project; "CopyCatsB-Gone" - elgeeko - 08-25-2009 Ok, so five Werewolf Heavy Fighters. Your total is 10,775,000 without tax no guns included non-refundable  Enjoy our fine 'made in pirate land' products. And remember our company motto; "Bad-A$$ only comes from the Bad-lands!" And now for something completely *different*
Project; "CopyCatsB-Gone" - reavengitair - 08-27-2009 Is that... the templar? Will you put some extra hardpoints on them? Anyway, the reason I visited, if you're redoing the Chimera, could you... no.1 - put some hardpoints on the wings no.2 - double the back fin so we can have a centered thruster? Project; "CopyCatsB-Gone" - MarvinCZ - 08-27-2009 I'll join my fellow Devs. There is absolutely no need to replace Mk.II vanilla models, it's a detrimental change. You seldom see the Mk.I ships, outside of setting up. I want to fly the vanilla models. On a more specific note: Touch my Templar with that and I'll bite your head off. Project; "CopyCatsB-Gone" - Cameron - 08-27-2009 If you want th fly vanilla models, go ahead. If you want to keep usefull vanilla models, lobby to have the Mk1's buffed. The vanilla freighters got beefed up so why not the fighters? More on topic, the new templar looks ok, not sa good as some of your other models but its still allright. Same goes for the Werewolf. |
