Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Liberty in 818 A.S. - S.H.T.A.A - 01-08-2011 And we're surprised the french made it into space. Good developement on the Liberty, Rheinland, and Nomad storyline there. We like it. Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Liberty in 818 A.S. - Bobthemanofsteel - 01-08-2011 Man, with Bretonia-Kusari stuff actually being somewhat interesting, I knew Liberty-Rheinland was going to be boring as hell. The singlemost important thing to happen to Liberty is that it steals a piece of station from the Schnitzels. Good work, now I know what our taxes go into. Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Liberty in 818 A.S. - Xoria - 01-08-2011 The reference to Lane Hackers in Vespucci is a simple mistake. In point of fact, there will be no Lane Hacker Guard system anywhere after the Hackers leave Vespucci. Though Zelot proofread the text before it was posted publicly, he very well may have been completely unaware of the following developments. Igiss merely forgot about them, which is easily understandable given the huge amount of time that has lapsed during this development cycle. Rather than desiring an exclusive system for ourselves, we (meaning players, not Lane Hacker characters) have been given the opportunity to guide future development of a relatively undeveloped public system on the outskirts of Liberty space, to which we will bring an ongoing storyline/mystery as a subplot to the main Discovery storyline, commercial development directly benefiting 2 of Liberty's major corporations (bases, commodities, & trade), and Sirius' only Hacker Guard outpost (which will be quite modest). Having said all that, the credit goes to Hribek for the coding and story development as well as the guiding vision for this sub-project, while together we worked on infocards & rumors, and I mismanaged the trade routes. Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Liberty in 818 A.S. - neko_soilder - 01-08-2011 I love it when you keep us informed about this stuff igiss ^-^ I can't wait for 4.86 comes out, role play will be very interesting (and fun) with all the story line you have created takes its effect. Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Liberty in 818 A.S. - Death.RunningVerminator - 01-08-2011 I don't like it. But.. It will be interesting none the less. Guess we have to see what happens. Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Liberty in 818 A.S. - Petitioner - 01-08-2011 ' Wrote:given other significant control of the background and the storyline of their factions so they could be included in the storyline.I'm still reading the thread and I dunno if this has been addressed yet or not, but you're saying, Zelot, that since the Hellfire Legion wants to determine what they do and what sort of faction they are, instead of leaving it up to a totally disinterested party who probably doesn't care about them at all in the greater scheme of things, they don't get to be included at all? So the Colonial Remnant shouldn't be included in any storyline, ever, at all, because they want to decide how their faction acts towards other factions instead of letting the devs decide everything, when the devs have no reason to care about them at all. THIS MAKES PERFECT SENSE, TOTALLY. ' Wrote:Just because you've taken a power drill to the forehead and lost all free will doesn't mean others has to follow suit, Anne.Oy! Be nice to Anne! ' Wrote:The intro looks nice, but the rest looks rushed and hazy.Basically this. ' Wrote:And this is why Factions don't have control over the development of their factions storyline. So factions don't decide what those factions do because the devs think "no that's stupid we shouldn't let them decide how to rp their rp" So this is what Disco really is. I think we're done here, gents. Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Liberty in 818 A.S. - Naturalist Fouche - 01-08-2011 Very well... And watch out, Zelot might delete all your posts for no reason, saying that they're unhelpful. Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Liberty in 818 A.S. - Tommeh - 01-08-2011 ' Wrote:I feel like I must express my uncertainty regarding such concept of Lane Hacker ships travelling through Alaska (and 2 Guard systems). I find this somewhat unfeasible considering the risk involved in doing so for a faction as small as them. Why would the hacker have more ease to travel through these systems when the Order has been doing so for years (17-18 in fact). I have to agree on this one, Hackers never had such direct contact with Order that would make them act as couriers for Order, and especially would not go as far as Minor and Mu. But, this is not something very concerning at the moment, so, we will see. Generally, I like where the story is going, I do think Gallians are taking quite large bite, and won't be able to handle it for longer, but that's not my concern :) Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Liberty in 818 A.S. - podgie_bear - 01-08-2011 ' Wrote:And watch out, Zelot might delete all your posts for no reason, saying that they're unhelpful. No 4.86 is unhelpful, it has basically turned what we keep being told is a RP server into a PvP server with minimal RP potentia except in certain areas and only if we follow the lines laid out for us. Under the understanding that any RP we actually do is subject to revision without our knowledge or input! Still I suppose we should have expected this. Some of us were told weeks ago that if we wanted to RP then we would have limited prospects in the future, and; [quote] Kusari is going to be written off as a RP deadzone in 4.86 and the Blood Dragons can choose to be a PvPwhore faction or die since they will become about the most isolated faction on the server.[unquote] Discovery 4.86 Storyline: Liberty in 818 A.S. - Soban - 01-08-2011 Well everthing is :yahoo:. Kepler is still quite, I like that ! |
