I say try /l as default. I think there are more pros than cons, but give it a trial and see how it goes.

Mining is ruined - pure and simple. Fields are depleted all the time - and does not seem to come back. I know, we are in a test phase, but the tests are run by people biased toward mining. So ...
A major attracktion for recruitment of new players into mining groups is gone. The lolwutting is bigger than ever.
I miss the good old days - where you could get 16k for Gold Ore and 12k for Niobium Ore - and it was worth getting through a piracy in one piece. Behind every decent pirate is a decent miner, right?!
It is frustrating to see admins running online experiments in an effort to find solutions to RP issues, that cannot be solved this way. Just as it did not help with the nerfing. But dare we critizise them - oh, no, who should listen to a fellow with just 50 posts behind him - he must be an ignorant, right?
It is also frustrating to see ongoing experiments in total ignorance of the general opinion. The poll was simply a cover up - the result was already given.
Call me whinner if you like - this is what many of you simply look forward to. Yes, I am pissed.

Trying new things out is!
It might take several attempts at getting the balance right, but if it makes the game better for the years to come, then what's a few weeks of inconvenience?

No matter what the RP issues will still be there. As far as I am concerned, no work has started on that yet.

EDIT: But I do agree, that it is important to try new things out etc. But that is not the reason for the test, nor the mining nerf.
