As you can see, the amount of armour, number of guns, powerplant, and the handling are almost identical. However, for some reason the IMG gunboat is almost 3 times as wide, and only slightly thinner.

either IMG gunboat needs a boost, or the rogue gunboat needs nerfing, but I think most people consider the rogue gunboat pretty balanced, so I'd think the IMG needs boosting

Well there are no hitboxes on the picture, the Rogue GB one is actually much higher than the ship.

When hitting with SN I consider it much more easier to hit the Rogue GB than the IMG GB.

Overall I don't see any big problems there.

here is with hit boxes...despite difernce in size those ships are quite balanced and i don't think we need to make uber ships out of them by changing their size or stats...

Those are pretty well fitting hit boxes... anyhow, killing a couple of new desies, i was finaly killed in my "LunchBox" by a BH bomber + gunship... so when in doubt what's best, bring in another bomber.

Since everyone seems annoyed by the BHG Gunships agility, and the fact that it has as many turrets as most gunboats, I have thought of a way to remove a couple of its turrets without actually REMOVING them.

Change the class of the turret to 6. 6 is currently unused in the mod, and as such, nothing can be mounted there. Therefore, I think it would work...

but already mounted turrets would still be mounted...it would affect only new bought ships

Well, yea, that's true, but when you undock, then the anticheat would catch it, and boot you. If you wanted to keep the extra turret, you will have to never dock or die, which IS possible, but unlikely.

And if you can pull it off you deserve to keep it... as you can roleplay your extreme survival in space by bloting on extra equipment...

Anyhow I've flown the Rogue Gunboat with a very devius loadout 2 infernos 2 razors 2 missiles...

So far the gunboat performed admirably against fighters but utterly sucked in capital ship warfere. When i was used to the toolboxes firepower the power on my new "anticap" ship just isn't there... preliminary calculations show that I deal just about one half as much damage as with a toolbox.... Not enough to even keep the shields down on a cruiser, and that's with infernos against a crapy pilot in a liberty cruiser...

:yahoo:Now i'm not saying to nerf the cruiser or boost the rogue gunboat, I'm trying to say here's a gunboat that does what it's suppose to do... win aginst fighters and loose against cruisers.... (and run away from battleships)
