YOu could add something to Savas list:
The Zoners are "normally" not out for war and that is the message tehy sell to everyone - they claim to be peaceful fellows who want to be left alone and not bothered by the big players. These big players tolerate them and their schrewd ways of living as they pose no threat to them and provide at least some usefullness to some of them. This "i don't really care all that much " stance might very well shift(or should have shifted already) if suddenly the houses see such a massive armament of the Zoners. What do they arm for if they don't want to be bothered and don't bother anyone? The unspecified Nomad threat? What if they do it for something else? Would you risk it?

==> aka look at states trying to set up nukes and who are equally untrustworthy as the Zoners are to the houses....people don't want others to be armed if they can't avoid it even if the claim is that it is purely for defense...say no to caps Big Grin

That as well, Rodnas, imagine what the Corsairs and other regional powers think when Zoners start rolling out massive dreadnoughts, it essentially nullifies their neutrality as they construct ships capable of threatening their dominance, something which the Zoners swear against.

I agree with the OP, Zoner caps should be limited in a way, but I would extend it to every faction as well.

My personal view is that in a Discovery Utopia, every single capital ship above from gunboat would be restricted to a "relaxed" SRP at least and that request would be decided by admins or official factions, preferably the former to avoid the elitism or the skype-buddy netâ„¢. With this method, new players wouldn't get their big toys so easily, they need to learn the faction's lore, RP basics, etc. For me there is no more disappointing element in this game when a battleship fly by and greets with a "Hello =)".

We got laws against those entering illegally our territory, and our Fleets love to waste caps. Worked out quite well so far, they're not annoying us with their presence and instead sit all down on top of the Sairs and be their problem.
Yay, good Zoners. Keep annoying the Sairs.

Uh huh huh, almost 20 pages of zoner tears, I'm not going to bother with reading it all, Kazinsal's proposition has my full support.

Zoner abomination should be slain. Remove anything larger than gunboats and 2k transports, remove profitable trade routes between freeports, make them to suck Sair/Core/OC/Order/House co***. These zoners need to know their true place.
