RE: A Meeting A Foster Base (//Doc and PLR ONLY) - Doc Holliday - 08-05-2014

He took a breath and turned to her with a soft smile, "Thank you for that. I figured that was just an old cliche but as my old friend told me awhile back, I need to keep things in perspective."
He perked up just a little, smiling softly simply at the thought of her next to him, "I guess I should focus more one what a lady wants next time.....if I get a next time."
He didn't want to sound overconfident but continued, "Her hopes, her desires, dreams. Does she want a family of her own and of course, can she put up with my life style are all questions I would need answers to."
He gave her a nice smile, "I have pretty much what I want, well, almost.....but I'm......comfortable."

They continued riding. It was the most at ease he had felt in some time. The horses seemed to enjoy being out and about too and of course, Ashlea was more than content by the evidence. Still, the more he learned about her, the more he was around her, the more he liked her. He then turned the tables on her a bit.

"So, what do I need to know or what don't know about you?" he returned. "I know you're very smart. I know you're pretty much alone in the world, well, besides your colleagues and I know that you're a pretty young woman. I just figured you would have something I don't know that I need to or you just want me to know."

He smiled a bit before he took a drink of his water as he awaited her answer.

She nodded thinking through the questions he would want answers to. "What more do you want in life?" The question came before she realized she was asking it. For a moment she fell silent.

She should have expected him to return the question, but she didn't. She bit her lip, wondering what to tell him. "Well, My previous boyfriend was killed, A Rogue, so that was to be expected....." She managed to keep her voice steady, her body language showed this still bothered her. She knew death was just another part of being a Rogue, but that didn't make the circumstances around it any easier. "Other then that.... I Don't really know. I left Liberty, and the Rogues once. It didn't necessarily work out too well. Mercenaries, Bounty Hunters... Lucky to get away from that one. Ever since then, I have been trying to find a way out." She shrugged slightly, "Once you are a Rogue, you don't normally get the chance to leave. Alive anyway." Not sure what else to say and unsure if she had answered his question.

She was quiet, looking down, wanting to leave the ranks of the Rogues would get her killed if the wrong person found out about it. She was lucky to be welcomed in again after the incident with the Bounty Hunters. She ran her hand through her hair and looked up at him again, taking the conversation away from herself "Who were the others in the photos?"

They came to a small stream that was emptying into the lake that fed from some nearby hills. It was also a nice spot to take a quick break to allow the horses to drink and even top off there own water. Doc climbed down from his horse, leading him to drink.

"I'm not sure which pictures you found in those drawers but if it's who I suspect, I'm not sure that you would believe me," he stated as he offered her a hand in climbing down, "That was the lawful side of my life, a life long past. Wyatt was a good friend. That was a time that most men didn't want to befriend me. Wyatt saw the one thing that mattered most to him and that was loyalty."

When she climbed down off of her horse, he inadvertently found himself close to her again. It was almost perfect. Away from all in a place of peace and tranquility.

She took his offer of help, and smiled as she climbed down. She enjoyed being close to him and she didn't let his hand go. From what he was saying, it all sounded very believable so far, this confused her. With her free hand she brushed her hair from her eyes and looked across at the water, apart from the horses the only other sound was that of the stream.

She could spend hours here, just relaxing with the sound of the water. What would make it better would be spending that time there with Doc. She looked back up at him, squeezing his hand gently. Partially as reassurance but also to remind herself this was real "You would be surprised in what I would believe, especially if it were you telling the story." She hoped he would explain what he was meaning a little more, but didn't want to push it too much.

She knew he would tell her more when he was ready to - whether that be now or in the future, she wasn't sure. Using her free hand, she brushed her thumb down his cheek "Smile, love... No matter what has... or will happen, right now, life is good."

Love she said. It caught him off guard but it felt right. As her thumb when down his cheek, he managed a soft smile to her. Her action only made him feel stronger for her. Releasing her hand, the hand gently opened and rested against her waist, the other doing the same on the other side as he looked upon her again.

"You are correct," he gently spoke, "Life is good right now."
Just before his lips met hers, he said through a breath, "No apologies this time."
There, away from even the house, in nature itself, he began to kiss her. Softly at first but as he continued, he did so more passionately. As he did, his hands kneaded her sides. For now, he dare say nothing else.

His soft smile caused her to do the same. As he moved his hands to her waist she moved her arms so they were resting on his shoulders. She knew she had fallen for him, she didn't her time with him to end. She kissed him back loosing herself in the moment.

"I don't want apologies.... not for this." She managed to mumble as she eventually stopped the kiss and moved closer, cuddling in to him. She had closed her eyes and wished this moment to last longer then it would. He was warm, and being close to him felt right. She hoped he thought the same, but didn't dare to ask. For the moment, they stood in a silent embrace, she was happy.

It was perfect. Peace, the outdoors and a beautiful lady. He continued kissing her with passion, his hands pressing into the skin of her waist as her shirt loosened a bit. Her skin tone was soft and smooth. He kissed the side of her neck, her lips and then the other side of her neck before returning to her lips again. Finally, he came up for some air and just smiled into her face.

He couldn't speak. He didn't know what to say as he looked, giving her small kisses as he did, his hands resting gently on her waist. He let his feeling, his heart, do the talking and right now, they were wrapped up in her.

She smiled, almost looking shy "John, I think...." She stole a kiss before biting her lip "I shouldn't..." She was quiet for a moment, fighting between what she wanted and what she thought she should do. Eventually she nodded and cuddled into him before speaking quietly "You've stolen my heart, John."

She dropped her gaze once she said this, almost immediately she cursed herself for saying this, unsure of what he would do in response to this. She shook her head and looked up at him, still biting her lip. She hadn't moved, but wondered if she should. "I'm sorry."

He softly smiled. Kissing her forehead he just looked upon her. "I prefer to think that I earned it," he said to her, "and might I say, Dahlin' that you have found your way into mine."

He sighed, "Do forgive me though, for what I'm not sure. You just have a power over me." With that, he just held her close, gently so. He just wanted her to feel safe...to feel comfortable....to share in how he felt.

RE: A Meeting A Foster Base (//Doc and PLR ONLY) - Widow - 08-07-2014

She closed her eyes as he kissed her forehead. Hearing his response, she smiled. The uncertainty she had felt was gone. She shook her head slightly, "I wouldn't have let you in to my heart if you hadn't.".

Normally she would have been a lot more cautious, not allowing herself to get close to anyone. She opened her eyes again after she decided to ignore what her head was telling her to do, and instead listen to her heart. It wasn't often she did this, thinking things through kept her safe. But while she was with him, she felt safe regardless and it was becoming hard to ignore the fact that she just simply wanted to be with him.

She didn't understand what he was asking for forgiveness for. He had done nothing wrong. She didn't understand what he had meant by her having a power over him either, She would question this later but for now she was enjoying the moment. The way he held her close made her feel wanted, loved even.
