As close as possible? Tomorrow. Highly unlikely though.
As has been said before, the issue now is infocards and rumors, mainly for Gallia and the Sirian system's reactions to Gallia. Once that is done, it is likely public beta won't be too far off. It really depends on how much help we're going to get in the infocarding department, since it's a ton of work to take care of.

Also, release the darned .86 and implement new things as time goes. Instead of one big change, implement over time.

Hey. That sounds just like how Battleships were MEANT to be.
But you know, this is not really a server that rewards you for good RP. Its a server that rewards you for two other things.
Who your friends are.
How much money/rep you can farm in a day.
Lets face it, if this patch ever releases (and half my mind does NOT want it to come out), then I give it little over three months before restrictions and such are relaxed. Of course this assumes there will be any. Evidence suggests otherwise.

I have a little question about this update. Will all the features of this update be avaiable for their usage on independent servers like mine? Some of my users are already asking me about it.
I specially mean about those that might be more serverside than client-side, like player buildable bases and similar stuff.
