Honestly, I have no clue what exactly happened in the past, when I ask around all I get are the same answers (the usual ya know, trolls and whatnot) so my knowledge is based on what I've found out. Personally, I don't care all that much.
What I do care to know why persist in keeping this attitude up (or according to you kept it up 'till a month ago), it seems to me it's rather childish behaviour. But as said, I've only heard one side of the story so far.
Sure, you are able to keep that behaviour up, just as much as you would be able to shrug it off, cut your losses and move on.
Enlighten me.

There are good reason why you are banned, there are obviously good reason presented with this behaviour of yours here as well about why you are banned. And even while you might hold the promise of not being so much of an exhaust pipe anymore - for maybe a month or so - let's see ... I'm pretty sure you'll just return to your old ways when you get bored and change your mind. But who knows...
Overall I think you had your chance. Your recent behaviour when circumventing the ban isn't helping either.

I don't understand why you behave this way. You don't seem to care about the community at all, otherwise you'd not threaten with continuing the trolling and probably wouldn't have done it in the first place. Why would you want to come back? Only reason I can figure is to continue what you did before. For no apparent reason. It just seems to give you pleasure to annoy other people.
Just leave and go somewhere else. You are neither wanted here, nor does it seem like you really care about what this game was once about: having fun playing with other people, with people who had the same idea, who wanted a more relaxed roleplay environment. (Because roleplaying requires much more time and effort than the normal playing. It requires patience.) The only thing that you seem to like doing is the opposite, screwing people over as hard as possible, because you seem to enjoy annoying others. I just don't get it, how people on the internet can enjoy it, I could make some comments and guesses about it, but I don't want to cause trouble for the mods, who'd otherwise have to work.

If I weren't serious about this I wouldn't even bother posting here. I'd just proceed with business as usual.

I voted "maybe", and it needs explanation.
Reasoning:
The ban is useless.
You proved there is no way to keep players off the server and forums if they are clever.
Consequence: The useless ban forces you into a "criminal" role. Your participation on forums and server automatically are perceived as trolling, so even normal participation that was not intended to be "bad" would be judged as "against the rules". It doesn't give you a chance to be good. It actually almost forces you to live up to the community's expectation by the means of a self-fulfilling prophecy model.
Let's be realists: Sindrom's first podcast showed that you do not deserve to get a second chance. I find it remarkable that he voted with "no". If the mechanisms to keep people like you off worked, we would not even be discussing this.
Seeing that this does not work, I actually prefer the choice: "play legally but try not to be assholes".
Looking at the status quo makes me think that the amount of trolling and asshattery would not be significantly higher, but perhaps likely even lower if you were not treated as outcasts but allowed to be back legally.
And... likely, I would regret my optimistic appraoch later on when I find myself as the target of the trolling again, but that's what I think could work for the server and somehow I can't help but give people second chances.
On an unrelated note, this pretty much sounds like the arguments my students use when discussing legalization of soft drugs
