I like. I wanna do something similar with Illinois when I get it.

Ithink you should mention Xeno workers covertly infiltrating Liberty companies and sabotaging production.
That could explain getting stuck in Detroit Munitions (docking bay sabotaged) and the Battegroups that flyinto the planet (defective navigational control units sabatoged).
Remember, blame everything on the Xenos.

They look good, and I wanted to add stuff like this to the GC Guard system as well XD I think all Guard systems could really benefit from it, but it could be a lot of work for Igiss. Not sure how hard it is to actually add rumours etc.

I noticed some major typos though. I'll try and correct in red.
Quote:Also, we haven't got a practice of including rumors and news with a faction system. If there's strong community support for this, I can include it of course, but this would mean that community support should somehow be proved.
Following the greatest phail in the history of system submission phailage the XA and the Xenos as a whole find themselves in a bit of a quandary. While developing our guard system in house we went to the effort of spicing the place up a little with some news articles and various rumors to give the bases a little personality in addition to fleshing out some Xeno RP.
It is our hope that, by presenting them to you again, we can generate the accolades necessary to convince Igiss that our desire to see as much make their way into the system are well received by the community and earnestly supported!
So, please, boos or cheers, we need your support!
Quote:News Reports
Terrorism works:
Encouraged by the recent success that the Mollys in Bretonia have had in getting the Government there to come to the table and talk terms. The Xenos have stepped up their attacks on targets throughout Liberty in the hope of provoking a similar response from the Liberty Government. “We know they are hurting” a spokesman for the Xenos said recently, “For every 3 ships that make it into Liberty, they are losing at least one”. The Xenos attacks have recently become Liberty-wide, indicating a degree of organization higher than what was originally believed, Liberty forces, while coping for now are finding themselves increasingly stretched thin by the constant harassment.
A Problem of Cash Flow.
Money has always been a problem for the Xenos. A grass roots organization made up of mostly disgruntled lower class workers and their families, the Xenos have never had much of a cash reserve to call upon. Raiding supplements their income, through the sale of stolen parts and commodities, as well as plundering the last remains of silver from the silver fields of Colorado. It is rumored that they may also have a number of secret beneficiaries within the upper classes of Liberty itself who donate funds and support to the group. Though this has never been proven and no one has ever been formally charged in this area.
Someone on the inside.
Xenos have no shortage of manpower. As the number of dissatisfied workers in Liberty grows owing to the Governments economic policies there, so to do ranks of the Xenos. Their brand of simple politics and nationalism is an attractive drawcard for many among the millions of bitter and angry out of work people of Liberty. The prison ships of Texas also provide a reservoir of hardened recruits, where the Xenos are aided by insiders in the LPI itself, who are always eager to make a quick buck under the table.
We stand alone
Or do they? Recent reports have indicated a level of tolerance shown to some non Liberty factions from the Xenos themselves. Particularly the Zoners and the IMG. Speculation about possible attempts at real diplomacy from the Xenos might be premature however, as indicated in comments made during a recent Xeno pirate radio broadcast in New York. “We don’t need anyone else in Liberty” the speaker said, “We look after our own. We won’t go trashing through someone else’s backyard, but we don’t welcome others coming and trashing through ours”.
A ready made Army.
The desperate Liberty citizens that join the Xenos bring with them a multitude of skills and abilities. Ranging from technicians to Doctors, Priests to laborers there is no shortage of ability within the ranks. “It’s not technical skill we lack” said a Xeno spokesman, “That we have plenty of, if your ship is damaged, we have ample people who can fix it, it’s the parts to fix it with that we sometimes lack”.
The fickle nature of supply and the deep pool of talent has made the Xenos skilled improvisers and well versed in “making do”. Skills which will be needed if they ever hope to achieve their political aims in the face of the stiff and determined resistance from the Liberty military.
Quote:Rumors
=====Alamo Rumors=====
This base used to belong to DSE, until we took it and drove them from the system. Someday, Death Valley's going to guarantee us our future after we've won the war against the corrupt Liberty government and their Corporate masters.
I sure do miss Denver. I left for Ouray on my 20th and haven't been back since. My family live well here on Refugio, but you know, it isn't the same as Denver.
Well, if you've been with us for a while you'll notice we've just got some ships here on Alamo and over on Refugio. We sealed a deal with the Zoners and a few independent ship dealers. Saves a lot of our precious credits in the long run.
Since we 'evicted' DSE from the Alamo, this has been the main supply and equipment base for the Xeno Guard. I think you'll notice that our best equipment is available here.
Too bad we can't get some more Synth Mary Jane in here. That's the only thing I like about Barrow. Unfortunately, making cargo runs from Barrow to here is dangerous, and many of our shipments don't make it.
I wouldn't fly into New York if I were you, it's suicide. I hear that the Navy sends out a half-dozen capital ships at the sight of a single Xeno there. Heh, it's nice to be feared.
Not too long ago, myself and a Guard Wing repelled a Junker raiding party that came through the Kepler Hole. Those idiots thought they could raid us with four ships. I think we taught them a lesson.
If I were you, I wouldn't play cards with our Equipment dealer. He has a habit of winning. A lot.
When we get caught, the LPI just keep throwing us in Huntsville. I figure they would've learned that all that accomplishes is us recruiting new Xenos. Still, nobody expects the donut munchers to be smart.
Did you see the Alabama on the way in? We're rather proud of that catch. After the Navy lost it, they've kept their noses out of this system. We've thought about repairing it, but a Dreadnought is a bit beyond our skills and resources to operate.
Enjoying that drink? No? Well, that would be the fault of the boys over in Nome. They told us they hijacked an entire shipment of alcohol, so we told them to send it over. What they failed to mention was that it was all Liberty Ale. I'm going to smack their cargo master next time I'm over there.
In years past we relied on the Zoners for most of our food, water and good times breathing needs. But with the surpluses provided by Refugio we're more than self sufficient. Though we still need to retrieve some specialty supplies, such as pharmaceuticals, from the Mining guild on Freeport 4.
Richard York, Captain of the Prospector and leader of the Sons of Liberty's no small legend amongst the Xenos. I'll bet them navy boys get a turn of their guts when that blip on their scopes turns out to be that gunboat of his! We used to mark the kills on the side of her hull, but we ran outta space ages ago!
Leo Mathews is one of our native sons, born a Xeno of a family that these bases of ours was built around! The Mathews have been at the heart of the movement since the first layoffs back in 600 A.S. Rumor has it that the first Xeno to gun down an LPI officer was a Mathews, but who's to say?
=====Refugio Rumors=====
Hey, you been to mid-level kitchens? They may look like a dump, but Joe serves good food! Say I sent you and he'll give you a bottle of the good stuff.
We're really proud of the city we've built here at Refugio. Most of our families live here, well away from the front lines.
I don't know where everyone gets the idea that we want to take over the Cardamine trade here in Liberty. True, we fight the Junkers because of their role in it, but not because we want it. We want to stop it. It's one of the biggest corrupting factors in Liberty, and it's rotting the core of Liberty's soul, and destroying it's workers.
Have you ever seen a Bounty Hunter in '45? I thought not. Wonder why? Scan one of our very own system guard next time ya see one, and you'll see why. I'm telling you -that- is power.
Heh, me and some 'o the lads had some fun with a Junker the night before last. She got lost and wandered into Kepler, so we herded her to '45 and listened to her squeal all night long! Haw haw! If ya look real careful, ya might find her ship. Somewhere in the asteroid field surrounding us.
If yer in a fix and you're gonna get caught, get caught by the LPI. Bounty Hunters will like as not put a bullet in your head, but the LPI needs to keep Huntsville producing. Remember, for every live Xeno that goes into Huntsville, three come out.
Despite the clamoring that we should seek ties with those other 'unlawful' faction within Liberty, the pirating Rogues and slave trading Junkers, the only groups with whom we have any accord are the Zoners, IMG and The Order. The Zoners are, well, the Zoners. But the IMG are almost like brothers in their struggle and The Order represents a righteousness and sense of justice that Liberty desperately needs to see return. That's why we remain neutral with both groups.
You think we'll ever complete our goals? I don't think we will in the near future, but we will succeed! Foreign companies can only take so many losses!
I sure like Barrow, but it it's mighty small and the lads over there speak kinda funny. A 'lil like this 'ere boy! Heheh, they crack me up.
Say again, which base did you say you come from? Was it Ouray in Colorado? Or Nome in Kepler? Heh, of course not, damn my drink addled mind, Barrow in Hudson right? No? I give up...
Whoa, I'm telling you, don't mess with the Zoners. One of mah buddies jumped a Zoner Dromedary and they weren't best pleased. Some sort of Zoner heavy fighter gave him a visit and showed him the error of his ways.
Hell, we had a few Bounty Hunters crash through the Kepler hole a few days back, musta been running from our Boys at Nome. We took 'em out just before they could transmit Refugio's location. Remember, a dead 'Hunter is a good 'Hunter
Heh, it sure can get warm down by the hangers. If you want a warm room bed down over there, if you like a bit 'o nip to the nights, the upper levels away from the generators'd be a good choice.
Our operations in New York were based mainly around Detroit base where we would lift side arms, but now we've redirected some of our forces to grab mining convoys heading to Pittsburgh. We've caught the LPI a little unprepared on that side. They don't know what we want them for.
=====Gonzales Rumors=====
We won this place from the DSE a fair while ago. In that time maintenance has got a little bit sketchy. If you see any signs like, well, radiation, variable gravity, electricity, poisonous gases, vacuum or explosives just stay away. Please?
Things can get lonely out here away from any other Xenos. We run on a skeleton crew and the only fresh contact we get is the occasional freighter from Refugio.
Gotta love the scenery here. Ice and water as far as the eye can see. At least the drinks are cheap. I just wish it wasn't that Liberty Ale garbage that the Alamo boys sent over.
The Kushan Freighter might be an ugly box, but if you put the right guns on it, it's the perfect tool for interdicting trade and carrying off plenty of captured goods.
The Blazer is the traditional ship of the training wing. With decent armor, huge size, no CD and abhorrently underpowered guns you'll be guaranteed a lifestyle of learning how to be sneaky, avoiding fights you can't win and group think mentality.
The Hawk's got some moves, looks darn sleek, can mount a CD all in a package that's still incapable of actually doing any lasting damage to anything that can actually defend itself for a darn. It can, however, put the hurt on some lower level vessels and is ideal for those Xenos looking to punch the ticket of smarmy junkers and other ne'er-do-wells on a budget.
Also fixed a bit of punctuation.

Then it would have generated some interest.
Nah, you should have named it "Outcasts vs Corsairs, who's more awesome?"
Though I doubt anyone would actually read the first post before writing how awesome his favored faction is.
On topic, I like it. Just like any other capital ship added in the mod. Kidding!

er... quite a few of those were'nt typos - they were spelt using British English, not American... which is quite proper and correct.

Heheh, very nice. I'll come up with some too...
===============
We were running a bit short on food last month, so we raided a shipment from Kusari. Man, I prefer synth paste to bloody noodles. It's always bloody noodles.
See this? Detroit special, my man, Detroit special. Sure, they might say it isn't as reliable as a Rheinland piece, but it's got a higher rate of fire and higher muzzle velocity. So long as you clean it every day.
Y'know, my best friend used to be a Rogue. Joined up when I met him in ole Hunts Vee. Problem is, he's hooked on that drug o' theirs, so we have to rob Junkers for it on a near-monthly basis. I think he's gettin' worse, though. Poor bastard.
Light fighters. They're often ignored by young whippersnappers like yerself, but those Navy boys will kick yer tail an' kick it hard if they catch you sittin' in summit all slow-like.
