History and real life. Things that happen every day. To some extent books by Ian M. Banks. Oh, and realist literature of nineteenth century.

- Music from 1200 to 1990;
- Baroque art;
- Documentaries and films about baroque and the Victorian era;
- Probably some other movies as well, but I can't remember which exactly;
- The Christmas truce in 1915. It is not a movie, it's a real event. It influenced on how I treat my inRP enemies;
- Some history stuff;
- "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", written by Douglas Adams;
- "Le Pere Goriot", written by Honore de Balzac (mostly influenced my Gallic characters).

Laying in bed trying to sleep

One time I did a copy/paste from a show, only changing some names around, but those characters are gone now

Ancient Romans rules and sayings that are quite actual:
  • Beware what you say, when, and to whom.
  • I think therefore I am.
  • As long as you are successful, you will have many friends.
  • Fortune favours the brave.
  • Bread and circuses.
  • The result validates the deeds.

Funny thing is they fit in everything quite well too- not only in RP. As it seems we humans haven't changed much in our ways for 2200 years, just the means are different when the result is the same.

A lot of my work is inspired by former members of Discovery -- Boss, Zapp, Leonardo, Dream Theater to name a few.

Most of my characters are just personality extensions of myself.

And now it is my turn.

I didn't read classical literature, time-proven philosophy, I didn't watch famous movies, didn't play sci-fy games, I don't know much from any branch of science, I have no mates around and I didn't have true high quality roleplay since a while.
My imagination is limited in its current state, I mostly forget my dreams.

I am loosing mind concentration once trying to think about a story to roleplay out, my characters are being deleted soon after created.
Any goal I am trying to make proves itself to be useless because I can't find sense in the background, like "why shall I do it? There is no gain..."

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, they stimulate me to work with my mind and soul, hope it could turn out in enjoyable roleplay sometimes as a particular result as well.
