Chill, was aimed at OP. Considering he's the only admin directly involving himself in the discussion, i'd imagine (I could be wrong) that he's just the messenger as far as the whole situation is concerned. No reason to disbelieve anything he says.

It's still yet another reason for the Former Alliance Houses to unite, at least, against the new enemy.
Aside of that, it's just me or I think the Gallia-Bretonia conflict would end in the same way as the 1066 did? You know, the Hastings.

While I very strongly disagree, they're talking about a player file rollback, not a mod version downgrade. Neither of which are likely to happen, far as I can tell.

So if there were a rollback, would that mean that new characters would be deleted? Because I recently got a friend of mine to play on the server, and I'm still teaching her to play.
It'd be a real shame if I had to get her to start again.

If she just started when the hacking started, then yes most likely.

Well, you could let her play now and then when the rollback comes you could pay for the stuff she lost?
I wouldn't mind putting a bit of cash in to help.
