Nowhere ever in the opening post is stated that you'll get any answer to your application, and the "everyone is free to have a try" means there's no restrictions as in what you've to bring with you to actually apply.
Still, just posting here won't grant you instant-access and membership, so if your request has not been answered, then take that you've not been taken.
It's that easy.
