How about we begin with an awesome trailer? We should make huge fights in multiple locations (I was thinking of a server-wide battle if it can handle it) and one with good recording/editing capalibities should take part.
I can try to urge my friends to play it since most of them are fans of space genre, but they lile shooters more.
That's all I can do, but I can also try to advertise on Anime websites, anime lovers usually LOVE to RP.

to advertise disco:
- facebook page and twitter feed - these should both start asap, and include the 'news' of the updates etc etc. Later, when the mod is released, you will actually have an audience to announce it to. future content of fbk.tw.website to include events, fanboypictures, videos of epic battles, escaping from pirates, etc.
- proper website - not a forum. it doesnt need to be super amazing, it can be written in word press, saying what the game is, and how we've changed it, with a blog from the devs (content taken from here): blogs are easily searchable by google spider bots, and there are WP plug-ins that automatically repost your content to tw and fbk.
- a you tube channel, with content from battles, as well as simple 'how to' videos for weapons grouping, drift fighting
not sure about this idea, but sanctions also - the names of the characters are sufficient anonymity, and it shows that there is a regulated environment here

I can help as well. I have my YouTube Channel full with Discovery Stuff, plus I try to upload at the moment the FL Campaign (Yes I know, it is already 394823904 on YouTube).
Screenshots, I have a lot of them, and my photobucket is full with at least 4000-5000 Pictures.....

If this is where we sign up for this, then I will gladly help. I have been told by people I do have etiquette, and again, told I am respectful of other people. I say it in this way, because I don't want to blow my own trumpet. If people say this about me, then I will say it here. It seems, to me personally, that this is what you want for this, so I will gladly step up for it. I would also be willing, if accepted, to set up dedicated official pages for Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, dedicated for Disco content only, on behalf of the Ad team. Just hope this isn't too much rambling on.

I have been posting this for a while, i think the forums should be optimised and made more user friendly, with quick links to important threads and tutorials.
Advertise the forums more ingame.

One of the most important things is the centralization of the content by the mentioned advertisement group. The target audience has to be clearly defined. It is also important that we don't advertise with content that doesn't exist/happen in discovery.
The campaign should be define what a customer can expect.
What is also mostly granted today is the integration of new ingame content constantly.

I would agree with this. Get a team to Script a "The Year is 817.." (or whatever year we are in) something along the lines of..... Leeds is under fire...the Gallics are running amock...Liberty is threatened....Will you play a part in defeating or conquering...Discovery Conquest...bla bla bla
and put a bunch of cool ass Battle vids pieced together and some music..might take some player involvement...or an event designed to make the Video....

needs to reflect not just the plague of frogs, but also other activities elsewhere.
