@Tonto i have no idea where you got that. He's done 4 books dince 2010, and a fifth being released as Mad villain said.

Never read any of his books, but I've played a few of the games with his name.
I'm not sure how much writing he did for the games, but I know some of the older Tom Clancy games like Chaos Theory were well written.

@Sterling....they are worth reading...at least the first 5 or 6 are. My favorite is Red Storm Rising. I could not put it down.

Damn good author, and many of the things he wrote were based partially or wholly on the real world -- or the possibility of things that could happen in the real world.
I've quite a few of his books around here somewhere myself. It's sad to see a great writer, and a smart and interesting man like him simply drop dead, but ah well.
As for the games though...those will keep coming. Tom Clancy hasn't had any direct involvement with the work done by Ubisoft for quite a while now, as far as I know, unfortunately.

I loved this man for stories like The Hunt For Red October, gripping and well written.
