RE: The Punishers| Battle Fleet Feedback - Ryus - 11-05-2013 I've said before, super appreciate the activity you guys bring to the area, I've fought on your side and against you, had plenty of fun doing both. The RP could use some tightening up sometimes and try to make sure that certain pilots don't get so annoyed when they lose a fight, it is just a game after all. RE: The Punishers| Battle Fleet Feedback - Vigilia.Procuratio - 11-05-2013 California I think is a bit unrealistic. As it stands you have people taking your side against Liberty, including Rogues. However, as soon as you have a regular presence in Liberty itself then you'll be treading on the toes of many pirates. As you're Navy, you can't really allow for pirating. Granted, you can turn a blind eye to the plundering of enemy corporations, but if you truly have control of a sector then you simply could not tolerate outright piracy within it, as is commonplace in California. As you know from being a Xeno, you'd also have another problem there. On the one hand we don't see many Xenos around but you might find the Alliance becoming a bit more active if you attack the house and they will side with the Liberty forces, as they do against Rheinland. Rogues side with Rheinland on the one hand, but if they can't plunder the lanes because you're holding them back then they will retaliate. What I'm saying here is that you'll pretty much be alone against a lot of factions, unless you've got people like Hellfire, the Revolution and the Reavers there to help. The only people I can see being neutral in Liberty are the Junkers. You also have to consider the Zoners. Whilst they're not a warring faction, should you literally trounce all over civilians then they might have a problem with that. I can't speak for them, I've never been a Zoner, but if I were one then I'd definitely be very disgruntled in seeing innocent parties being drawn into the conflict. Hellfire for one have always only targeted those whom were logically an enemy combatant. Consider also Liberty vs Rheinland; they'd only attack traders if they were of a hostile corporation or were wilfully breaching the embargoes. Bear in mind that Liberty and Rheinland share a border which must be controlled on either side, whereas Gallia does not. As such, there cannot really exist an embargo except in the case of goods being exported from, imported to or otherwise crossing Gallic space. I don't feel that it would be appropriate to attack neutral transports in Liberty itself unless they are actually holding a hostile ID. Magellan I can understand if Leeds comes into the equation, but not California. This is where you need to be very careful so as to not bring yourself into conflict with factions whom would otherwise have no regard for the war. Also think of The Order, for that matter. They were originally from Liberty and I'm sure that they'll still hold some sentiments towards it. If they see a marauding army destroying everything foreign, why would they see them as being any different to the Nomads? Then you've got the Hunters as well...surely you'd be worth some money and maybe that would be a good enough reason for the less-benevolent mercenaries to seek your head as well. In essence, if you're think of holding a regular presence in Liberty then you really have to think it through. It's not Bretonia where there is mediocre player activity at best, it's the centre of the game in many ways. Bretonia couldn't hold Kusari back because they simply didn't have the manpower, suffice to say that Gallia was too much as well. Liberty is different, there is a sizeable player base there and I truly think that you'd be facing an impossible task. RE: The Punishers| Battle Fleet Feedback - AirDOG - 11-05-2013 Guys, don't take it to seriously,i'm joking sometimes,of course the punishers needs to be more respectable and they need to RP more, but think a little... everyone know's navy, how much of them RP before shooting? If you ask any of the punishers,i always RP ,but before i can say something navy shoots me down, that's the way it is.Not to much people respect their enemy's and RP nicely.Even 4-5 lines, but not ' assisting the navy" "kill him' ' me attack glinder' that's something what we're not doing and we won't. We play for the fun Do the same! Let's respect each other.

RE: The Punishers| Battle Fleet Feedback - Vigilia.Procuratio - 11-05-2013 Mate, even when there were organised battles between, say RM and LN, there would be virtually no RP. Half of the players wouldn't say anything, simply because they didn't know what to say. Everybody knew that the priority was establishing tactics and a formation, not talking crap. This is even more critical when cloaked capital ships are...somewhere. Sometimes there really isn't time for RP and that is, indeed, the way it is. I once jumped from NY to Texas where there was a battle on the other side of the gate. I truly didn't expect to die two seconds after jumping, but that was just hard luck. We knew they were they, they knew we were coming. I really don't think it's that much of an issue if two sides know that they'll imminently be shooting at one another. The rule is only really there to stop people from just opening up on somebody when they aren't expecting it. Personally, if I'm a cop and I run into a pirate, I'll be expecting some nastiness. Rules are rules, but as soon as one or the other says "you smell" then it's all go. When you're at a face-off, the first shot can be the winner so you'd be forgiven for not wanting to tell somebody your entire biography before hand. I think it's a bit different though if LPI meets Rogue on the lane as there's room for some dialogue. When two large forces are giving each other funny eyes, though, what is there to talk about? Peace? Ain't gonna happen in a first-person shooter, is it? RE: The Punishers| Battle Fleet Feedback - Remnant - 11-05-2013 I don't like PvP. I really don't. Its neccisary in this game, although I believe that there is a limit a 'faction' should have between just flying around looking for PvP, and flying around looking for RP. I've encountered you guys once, and have noticed that you seem to be flying around for PvP. First thing that comes to mind, is that you seem to be lacking a good amount of the Roleplay in an entirety. Sure, I saw some, but it looked mainly like an excuse to either be provoked, or to provoke who I was flying at the time. Not as enjoyable as many other factions i've met up with, who 'talks' with other players more than shooting. Although, I admit, I've seen much worse. You guys did alright. RE: The Punishers| Battle Fleet Feedback - Technogeist - 11-05-2013 I agree with the above, I've encountered you guys a lot and it mostly seems like you RP the bare minimum to not be sanctioned and then PvP as much as possible. Feels a bit cheap a lot of the time and I'm not particularly happy with most of my Punisher encounters RP wise. Most people I've talked to consider you guys a gank squad, is what I'm saying. You should RP more and seek excuses to PvP less. That's my feedback for you, hopefully you guys take it on board and improve your RP a bit, that would help a lot. RE: The Punishers| Battle Fleet Feedback - Flashâ„¢ - 11-05-2013 Most the times I encountered you guys, it was more taunting with curse words and a lot of ooRP. I'm not saying you guys don't RP, there are a few of you who do, but most ooRP. It starts to give off a very "i'm better than you" OoRP vibe sometimes. This! Fights are usually nice but that attitude sometimes steps over normal RP superiority you could feel as dominant power. RE: The Punishers| Battle Fleet Feedback - Crowbar - 11-05-2013 Nice job so far, lot's of activity and even more fun.. Some of your members a little bit "cheeky",if you know what I mean. ![]() They sometimes cross that fine line between RP and OORP chat, and like to think they are these "Super-duper,indestructable Cougar pilots",but other than that it's nice expirience fighting you guys. Oh,and one more thing.. I was on my Templar just the other day,I found you guys near Leeds JH in Maggelan, there where three of you guys in bombers, and you didn't ganked me,you waited for a guy in Lynx to arrive and kill me. Here is where it get's interesting,I was pounding that dude real hard, when all of you without a word of notice decided to interlope and kill me real quick.. Would be nice if you gave me a oportunity to finish my duel first, but meh... Next time I wont even duel any of you guys,It's a fight allready lost. I'll just go with the flow and furball with everybody else.. Cheers |
