Combat Operations
  • Armed Confrontation: 1
  • Shots fire: large amounts
  • Damage (Friendlies): medium
  • Losses (Friendlies): 0
  • Damage (Enemy): shiploss
  • Losses (Enemy): 1

Detailled Operation Report:

- Code Red

Maya McAscott reported an Outcast Cruiser near Java, engaging her. The Pathfinder launched even though there was not enough time to refit the Solaris batteries with Cruiser turrets.

In a hard fight, the enemy Cruiser could be destroyed by Cerberus fire, however it managed to do significant damage to the Pathfinder's front section by a precise Mortar hit that was preceeded by EMP impact. A dangerous combination that the armor plates thankfully could take.

Repairs will at least take up around 10 hours and will be completed in Tau 39, Jakarta, before the vessel is scheduled to return back to her Tau 23 staging area.

  • Shots fire: large amounts
  • Damage (Friendlies): medium damage to Cruiser
  • Losses (Friendlies): 0
  • Damage (Enemy): 2 shiploss, medium damage to Battleship
  • Losses (Enemy): 2

Detailled Operation Report:

- Code Red

Large amounts of Outcast and Junkers responded to an IMG patrol forcing a JM bomber down in Tau 23. With 2 Battleships incoming, 2 gunboats medium-range attacking and 2 bombers bombarding long range, Cruiser batteries focussed on protecting the Java perimeter, targetting everything that came into range.

Pathfinder's gunners took out a Waran that ventured in too bravely, and another bomber took itself out by a Nova that likely hit an asteroid. One of the enemy Battleships was damaged, but could not be taken out.

The engagement ended when we drew out to Tau 39, encountering heavy ion storms that made fighting impossible.

Combat Operations
  • Armed Confrontation: 1
  • Shots fire: large amounts
  • Damage (Friendlies): high
  • Losses (Friendlies): 0
  • Damage (Enemy): shiploss
  • Losses (Enemy): 3

Detailled Operation Report:

- Code Red

IMG fighter wings reported that Outcast and Junker Marauder gunboats were entering a skirmish in Tau 23. The Atlantica and the Pathfinder were called to take out the three gunboats that were suppressing blue forces.

Two gunboats were blown out of space, another fighter succumbed to the Atlantica's guns mid-combat. The last remaining Junker Marauder gunship retreated.

The Cruisers retreated to safety in Tau 39 after only enemy fighter craft were left and Java announced the launch of a fresh wing of fighters.

There was no damage to the Pathfinder, and her shields were only dropped once by Cali gunners. We are ready to launch whenever needed.

Short Operation Report:

Encounters:
  • Encountered vessels: many
  • hostiles: 2 (Outcast Dreadnought; Nomad)
  • neutral: between 4 and 6
  • friendly: between 4 and 6

Combat Operations
  • Armed Confrontation: 1
  • Shots fire: large amounts
  • Damage (Friendlies): light
  • Losses (Friendlies): 0
  • Damage (Enemy): shiploss (warship)
  • Losses (Enemy): 1

Detailled Operation Report:

- Code Red

IMG Defense and Java Sensors reported a large Outcast warship closing in on Java. The Pathfinder was on patrol duty near the Tau 23 hole in Tau 37 when the call came through. We engaged it after it had jumped into Tau 37, and were able to contribute to its destruction near the sun corona.

The Pathfinder did not take any damage and was hardly fired at. Minor hull damage was caused by intensive heat and radiation.

- Cargo Interdiction

A large transport was intercepted by fighter and bomber wings. It was checked and Mr. Starwind made a "joke" about the ship carrying Cardamine, which almost prompted attacks by the wings. Gladly any mistake could be avoided, but the pilot has been corrected and we are checking whether we file it for disciplinary measures.

- Alien Contact and Intel Gathering

Alien entities seem to have become a lot more common in the Taus. The Pathfinder was doing a routine patrol when snub patrols reported about alien mind waves. We kept the Pathfinder around to give cover to the snub patrols in case of another massive alien attack, however it did not happen.

Contact was established with the alien entity and decryption algorythms worked sufficiently to understand most of what it said. More research and decryption is needed to be sure about the message, however after the invisible gunboat-sized creature uncloaked next to the Pathfinder, it became obvious that it was not hostile during the interaction.

I kept the Pathfinder ready for battle, but with no reason to fire and our chance of gathering intel at ranges of less than 100 m, I decided to not go aggressive but get as much intel as possible. Soon afterwards, we detected an energy spike and the creature became translucent, then vanished. We lost sensor contact soon afterwards.

We are in the process of uploading the data base to Java for decryption and research.

The Pathfinder took only minor damage to radiation and is back in action after rearming and refueling.

Short Operation Report:

Combat Operations
  • Armed Confrontation: 1
  • Shots fire: large amounts, 14 missiles
  • Damage (Friendlies): no destructions
  • Losses (Friendlies): 0 (observed during engagement)
  • Damage (Enemy): Sarissa (shiploss), Gunship (shiploss)
  • Losses (Enemy): 2

Detailled Operation Report:

- Code Red

IMG patrols and responding ALG wing reported the Sarissa "The Alarm" with jumpdrive that we forced into retreat yesterday and that damaged the Battlecruiser Siotra badly.

Today, we were able to hammer it hard enough that it did not make the jump intact but desintegrated in the jump sequence in a rather spectacular fireball followed by a bright flash.

The bits and pieces were taken by the jump, but subspace detectors clearly picked up the detonation.

The Battlecruiser Big Bad Wolf, commanded by Holman Heroes commanders, as well as the Gallic Cruiser Mont Blanc assisted in the attack that crippled the enemy ship this time. Sweet revenge.

I retreated the lightly damaged Pathfinder for repairs and rearming. It did an amazing job at staying at the edge of the enemy's guns, drawing fire, so that the Wolf and the Mont Blanc could do damage.

The Pathfinder should be back into action in less than 10 hours.

Short Operation Report:

Combat Operations
  • Armed Confrontation: 1 (long)
  • Shots fire: large amounts
  • Damage (Friendlies): Carrier Rockabill damaged; Several allied vessels damaged
  • Losses (Friendlies): No IMG vessels; Several allied vessels destroyed
  • Damage (Enemy): Massive
  • Losses (Enemy): Massive; 1 Construction Site of a "Nomad Lair"

Detailled Operation Report:

- Code Red: Freeport Defense

As part of the Tau-Omega exchange program, I was commanding the IMG|Biscayne.Bay in Omega 3 when we received a call after heavy Nomad activity was spotted near Freeport 1. We reported for duty and went to Freeport 1, but the situation already was under control.

I ordered the Bay into an overwatch position while BAF forces cleaned up the remaining Nomad attackers.

- Code Red: The Nomad Lair Construction Site

About 30 mins into the mission, suddenly reports of another wave of massive Nomad incursions hit our scanners. Scout wings located a "Nomad Lair" construction site 40 k north of Aland. The structure was huge (see images) and Bretonian scientists will have to take a closer look at the remains.

IMG scrambled their fighters and also deployed Carrier Rockabill alongside the Battlecruiser Biscayne Bay to battle this major threat in close cooperation with Bretonian Armed Forces warships and many other allied forces tha joined the fight against these aliens. A last very strong wave of Nomad ships jumped in and decloaked on our forces but could be repelled under heavy losses on friendly side. Rockabill led the charge against a Nomad Marduk and was damaged, but made it back to base on its own after the enemy was routed.

In a fierce fight against dozens of alien creatures, the "Lair" could be stripped of its defenders, and then destroyed.

The Bay suffered only minor damage and was able to resume duty after rearming and refueling.
Rockabill suffered medium damage, but made it out intact and needs more extensive repairs. Estimated repair time is 4 days.

Detailled Operation Report:

Classified Survey Mission: Odessa Planet - Omega 52 (Coalition Space)

The Battlecruiser Biscayne Bay (Omega 3) has been fitted to serve as a survey ship, mainly for the Omega 9 development. However, yesterday the Bay was ordered to commence a secret mission to assist the Coalition (SCRA) in a survey mission of Planet Odessa in Omega 52, the Coalition Home system.

Covered by two IMG interceptors (IMG|Raven & IMG|Ronnie.McGoo), IMG forces rendezvoued with Coalition forces in Omega 3. We made our way through Omega 5 contested territory quickly, avoiding main fighting zones and slipped into Omega 52. The Coalition forces - led by the Destroyer Che Guevara - proved to be both professional and helpful, not only on our dangerous way through the higher Omicrons.

The initial survey scans were done, and detailed scans will take between 1 and 2 weeks. The Cruiser will remain stationed in Omega 52 for that time and will be operating under close watch of the SCRA forces. We are cooperating closely with them in this mission.

** Sender : Captain Samantha Lawson **

*Captain Lawson steps into the picture saluting shortly*
*She nods*

Good day to all the shipcaptains of the Independent Miners Guild out there.

After several years of engineering, discussing and testing we`re now ready to show you the fruits of your hard work.
Many of you know the IMG is pushing into the dark corners of space more and more.
We`re comming to a point where we cant completely supply our deep space miners out there with whatever they may need
and provide the protection they may need.

This leads to a realisation.
We, the IMG, need a Ship, big enough to store, resupply and protect our mining vessels out there.
These men and woman risking there lives every day to mine the ore we sell on our stations.
Many of these brave miners payed the highest price possible for this ore, there lives !

So the best engineers, designers, shiptechnicans, workers etc. where called together to solve this huge problem.
Soon they realize, we cant simply rebuild one of the Battlecruisers we use today ( the Biscayne.Bay for example ) .
A NEW Shipline has to be created !

After several disussions we came to a conclusion,
The new IMG Shipclass will be named ``Himalaya Class Carriers``.
After a huge mountain chain on ancient earth.
Yes, you heard right. This will be the first Carrier the IMG has every build.

*Captain Lawson pushes some buttons on a control pannel*

Here you see the Jakarta engineers working on the inner Hull of the Carrier.

Many months have passed since then.
The New Carrier will be named after the first exploration vessel that hit the ground of Planet Pecos in Coronado.
** IMG|GPV-Sisuvanya.Peak **
I can now proudly present you the first pictures of the new Carrier in Space during some routine tests.

Here are some deeper details of the new Carrier.

The Sisuvanya.Peak can store up to 200 mining vessels of every size and 50 fighters, bombers in her carrier bays.
If the Carrier has to support defence operations for the space used by 25 mining vessels we can store 1 gunboat in the bays.
The Carrier is equiped with a state of the art medical bay with the best medics the IMG has to offer.
Furthermore we can store food, water, mining equipment etc. for 4 months.

*Captain Lawson salutes*

The Sisuvanya.Peak and her Crew is out there to protect you from every harm that may come to you !

  • Losses (Enemy): 4

Detailed Operation Report: Captain Alistair, IMG|GPV-Explorer

This evening a code amber was sounded from Java station following the sighting of an outcast strike force situated within visual range of the station. IMG defend bombers were first to be launched to investigate the sighting, upon inspection the battleship appeared to be have gunboat class escorts. A smuggler was also caught amidst the chaos as a ship belonging to the 'Holman Heroes' had intercepted it and was later destroyed during the conflict. A decision was made to upgrade the response to a code red due to danger posed to Java by the strike force.

Guild patrol vessel Explorer was the first to be launched and raced to the scene, it was quickly determined that the situation was escalating and the Explorer, commanded by my self was moved into combat range. The crew of the Explorer opened fire first quickly followed by the IMG, Holman Heroes defence ships and other neutral vessels in the area. The outcast strike force retaliated and returned fire Explorer being the main target for their capital ship. Explorer continued with rapid salvos of missiles and primary weaponry in order to defend it's self however the Explorer was caught unaware and became too close to the battleship, sustaining heavy damage to her hull and command and control. Despite this she managed to evade being hit on her critical parts and gained some range.

The GPV-Pathfinder was launched following a distress signal from the Explorer and arrived swiftly to find Explorer in a bad way but still holding her own and moved into salvo range of the battleship. IMG defence along with their assistance managed to destroy the outcast gunboat escorts and moved to assist in the destruction of the battleship. Unable to withstand the combined firepower of the two GPV vessels and the IMG bombers the dreadnaughts hull gave way and multiple explosions rapidly spread through the outcast vessel with one final salvo from the Explorer delivering the fatal blow.

Upon destruction of the battleship Explorer vacated the area with severe damage to her hull, superstructure and command and control centre and retreated to Jakarta for immediate repairs.

The Pioneer was called from its patrol path when miners reported a Storta (callsign: lostin) was harrassing them in the mining field. The miners managed to get out in time, while losing the ore.

The Pioneer managed to intercept the vessel at the T23 hole in T37, likely when it was attempting to get back into Outcast space. The target was engaged in combat but proved too strong for the Pioneer to overcome in the nebulas of Tau 37. After a close pass and a full gun barrage at point blank range that caused damage to the enemy cruiser's hull, I steered the Thanatos cruiser clear of the enemy and managed to pull out of range. The Storta did not pursue.

There are no pictures of the engagement as the entire front gundeck was damaged and blacked out due to powerloss.

Repairs will at least take up 22 hours and will be completed in Tau 44 after initial repairs have been commenced near Falkland.
