The only purpose of Battleship Scanner I see-avoiding unwanted encounters, because battleship/cruiser/gunboat can't escape fight which already started. RE: Scanners - Kosa - 11-09-2013 I think the idea of making 'select range' different for each scanner is not new. It has been advised much earlier. However I don't believe it's possible. The select range is a constant. If you change it, that changes for all types of scanners. The Scanners are what Govedo said: Scanner, Advanced Deep, Advanced Cargo, Battleship and Spyglass scanners are changed. TYPE (Range/Scan range): Scanner (8000/1000) Advanced Deep (14000/4000) - something like old advanced cargo. Advanced Cargo (10000/6000) - similar previous type of BS scanner Battleship (25000/3000) Spyglass (25000/3000) ALL OTHER (Same as before) Also the BIG QUESTION still stands: Is local chat distance the same 15K? Or is it dependent on scanner detect range?
