Actually the admin team had declared that all Gallic ID's could go to Alpha as well at the time.

I can't find the date of the ZoI widening for gallic ships... But as I remember it was done some time after the CCCP mess.

Which one? USSR had alot of nationalities.
Though, as I remember they somehow explained the tag and brought some fun into gallia.

They were Le Cosmique Couronne Commandos de Paris, the tag was explained and they had a bit of history written up too. IMO they did more good for Gallia (and the server) than harm, even if rules were broken. They brought it substantial livelihood. I wish they could have cleaned up their act before things went sour, because they were given an awful lot of chances.
Anyways, I personally think it was the right call to slap the CCCP for the Corsair stuff. Corsairs + GRN just seemed fairly silly and out of character, for both parties. The enemy of your enemy is not always your friend, especially if you're Xenophobic Warmongers bent on conquering the known world.

Well, apart from what i posted already - the Gauls and the Sairs get along better then with the rest of sirius as both claim that the "real" houses mistreated them, shunned them and owe them - so they are in the same position of the "unloved house" with the difference that gallia is a actually mighty and powerful house , while the sairs are small in comparison...

That CCCP was most definately player's nation related and sucked big time.
And I'm still amazed by Rodnas' idea about that diplomatic meeting.
In my opintion it's a great rp opportunity which fits perfectly in the current mod.
The Corsairs have known connections to Kusari which make an understanding for a diplomatic meeting very resonable.

I liked them. They killed stuff. We need more killers in this game. Gallia isn't scary now. Nothing is really scary in this game now.
