I guess it depends on how bad you need the money from delivering the goods, or the goods themselves if you were delivering them for an RP project, or for supplying a PoB.
Ex. If the Gold ore you carrying is the difference between you having practically no money left...it becomes a lot more valuable, and I'd probably be willing to pay more to keep it. Now, as to the percentage I'd be willing to pay...probably not more than 65% of the gross profit at my sell point. If you have like 200M in reserve and you're carrying something mid-range like Optronics, meh...might try running, or maybe try to haggle him down with some RP...or stall him and call for reinforcements from any lawful or freelancer nearby.
The thing to remember is...it's not real money. Sure, it's real time spent...but you can spend the time getting angry at losing fake money, or just have fun with it and get creative and see what happens.

Fair enough, but Snak3's idea does just sound funner, seeing if you can get away, and if you can't or they stop you then you pay... It just sounds funner RP wise. As long as they don't just say "hes running.. blast him to Valhalla"
well sometimes i get them to 1% health with all guns/sheild/cd/cm taken off then watch them dock and have a huge repair bill....maybe abit harsh but gives me a giggle...

I do this to totally mute players, who fail to say even a single word.
But this is a thread for Trader's perspective, not our wicked criminal minds.
