H-Fuel : In need of an overhaul? - chopper - 07-30-2008 It's true, but you can't really sell something that you don't have. For example, one station orders a monthly supply of 3 billion gallons. Even if you took a bit more, you still need those 2.5 or more billions for your own needs. You can sell it all, of course, but you won't have enough until the next shipment. And you can have all the money and all the profit, but you will be unable to launch a fighter. It's one thing to sell it to a passing freelancer Eagle, and totally another to sell it to a Heavy Tanker. Freeports might be an exception to this, for obvious reasons. H-Fuel : In need of an overhaul? - mjolnir - 07-30-2008 ' Wrote:My thought was to remove H fuel as a selling commodity in all locations save those controlled by the GMG/Samura. H-Fuel is produced in Sigma 13 and 19 (hauled to Osaka), Hokkaido and on Mannheim station in Frankfurt. So it should be sold in Frankfurt as well, for some higher price. H-Fuel : In need of an overhaul? - Blodo - 07-30-2008 The prices for H-Fuel should be the lowest on Ogashawa in Sigma-19. That's the new deposit of gases the GMG is moving to, while the one in Sigma-13 is running out. Hokkaido has Samura gas miners, but the constant Dragon and GC attacks are heavy so only half the transports ever actually get out of there. Also the Hokkaido cloud yields less H-Fuel than the Crow nebula AFAIK, so the selling price should be quite a bit more costly to reflect that. Mannheim synthesizes H-Fuel for Rheinland in a process that is not cost effective and only lasts thanks to government subsidies for that station alone. It has been losing Kruger money since the end of the 80 years war, and they are only waiting for Rheinland to cut their subsidies. Once that is done, the station will be closed down. Prices on Mannheim should be quite high. One thing to realise about fixing H-Fuel prices is that it is going to be difficult to fix them in RP but do it so that they won't be abused. For example, in RP Rheinland should pay the most for H-Fuel, since they sorely need it and the Kusari companies are charging lots for it, while the GMG refuses to ship it to them. But New Berlin is right next door and having a one system trade route would be ridiculous, not to mention OORP since GMG wouldn't sell their stuff to Rheinland. Bretonia should also have high prices since they get their H-Fuel from god knows where now that they are at war with Kusari. Technically it would have traders running the QCRF blockade with their stuff, so they might want to actually enforce it then. Liberty is a fine place to sell H-Fuel, GMG have no problem with going there, but it's not that far away so the price probably shouldn't be that good (or should it? It's the best place from all the mentioned ones really). Kusari is right next door, but they actually distribute H-Fuel as well so the price shouldn't be high at all. H-Fuel : In need of an overhaul? - ScornStar - 08-13-2008 I vote yes. But perhaps make sure every faction has one high priced consumeing station to distribute to the rest of thier faction. Like I buy from Naha and take it to any of the faction distributors. Mox might be another one that is unused alot. Unless Britonia uses mox and Kusari uses H-fuel. Things to think about from my two cents. |
