Cakes and Pies, Burgers and Fries - Nightwing - 07-30-2008 New pirate online :) Cakes and Pies, Burgers and Fries - MB52 - 07-30-2008 In the end...it comes down to the times you play. Sometimes theres more pirates, sometimes more lawfuls... not much you can do bout it. Cept maybe hide... if you are around the time theres more on the opposite side.. heh. Cakes and Pies, Burgers and Fries - Dusty Lens - 07-30-2008 This is a conversation that I was having with some fellows just today, actually, so I'll jump in and drop my two cents: It fluctuates madly. Occasionally there may be an overwhelming lawful presence, occasionally an overwhelming unlawful presence. Lawfuls fly a lot of fighters, they also fly a lot of caps. Unlawfuls fly a lot of fighters, they also fly a lot of caps. The lawful capship spam is real. The unlawful capship spam is also real. In Liberty I feel that the quality per capita is on the unlawful side. The LH/LR/XA generally shine a little brighter in my eyes. However, the unlawfuls don't have to make a stand. They can contribute to the chaos and lol about how ineffective the lawfuls are. This gives them a little more room for entertainment, they get to bring it while the lawfuls have to take it. If a lawful brings it to the unlawfuls, he gets flamed. My take on it is to take a gander at the current populations. If I log in and there's a mulitude of lawfuls and not a lot of unlawfuls, I go to town. If Liberty is swarming with Rogue Gunboats and LH Gunships... Well, I still go to town because I'm a Xeno and I'll be blowing them up anyways, but I could also think for a moment and grab my LPI as well. Balances of forces is what makes things more entertaining, not overwhelming superiority. When a HF spyglass is sitting over NY proclaiming his superiority, no one's having good fun. When sixteen lawfuls are trying to kill one slipstream, no one is having a good time. This is one of many reasons why I am a huge supporter of cross breeding between factions and having multiple indies across the board. Could be everyone will have more fun if I log in my Guardian that day rather than my Eagle. Just a quick thought. Cakes and Pies, Burgers and Fries - MB52 - 07-30-2008 Yeah, I have my rogue fighter for when there is more lawfuls on and to get a change of pace. Being unlawful is VERY differant then lawful... No gates, no lanes, very few friends/friendly ports... bout everyone is out to get you.. etc... |
